the location was fabulous, the Placa Reial is busy and vibrant, in a fab location. there is a taxi rank close by, just off las Ramblas, a short walk either direction to city centre or the sea . the staff were so helpful, rooms clean, basic, but had what you needed, beds comfy, clean bedding, shower worked perfectly, it felt safe in the hotel and although there were no views, I didn’t go to Barcelona to look out of the window, I went to enjoy the city and we did. breakfast was ok, cornflakes, tea coffee juice and pastries. it was fresh and although not a huge choice was enough to set you up for the day .

probably not set up for the less able bodied, as the stairs down to breakfast were quite steep, although there may have been an alternative route I wasn’t aware of. and the lift was quite small, but worked perfectly,

Location is the best one. Very Center near the beach - 15min Near the Port 5 min. Near the metro - 3 min In Barion Gotico. Near Placa Catalunya (shopping area) 9 min. Near Rambla and La Boqueria Mercat 2 min. Palau Guell 2 min. View is fantastic - looking at the Placa Reial 4th floor. You have elevator. Breakfast is a good thing to have in the morning. (coffee, tea, milk, cornflex, croissant, jam, butter - that's it). People buy Jamon, tomato, etc, and make sandwiches, because there is no ham and cheese. Ned's were very comfortable. It looks they are small, but the person 190cm was sleeping well. Staff Is so nice.

The place is clean, but old. Yet, it's exactly like on the pictures. More toiletries needed. They are in bags so if you wanna wash hands you have to squeeze iz in the glass, than wash your hands. Shampoo and bath in one, no conditioner. Hairdryer on demand. People say it isnoisy, but what do you expect when you are on Placa Reial - one of the most lively places in Barca during the night. And windows are good so you don't hear it. There was one biiiig bug on the floor when we came. Didn't see them after. TV is way to small. But we didn't stay at room a lot... Not safe box in the room (didn't expect one)

- Location is fantastic, it can not be better. - Room is spacious and clean. It is not fancy or new but it's clean and you have everything you need. - The cleaning staff was there everyday. - Workers at the reception are polite and helpful. - Located at the crowded square, packed with bars and restaurants. It is loud at nights because there is a nightclub nearby so people are talking loud. I really didn't mind so I can't say that's negative. If you don't like that, maybe you can ask for the room located on the other side. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay again.

The hotel is in a great location, in a historic, very beautiful environment, not far from the Plaza Catalunya. Friendly service, smiling staff. There are many restaurants nearby. If the hotel is just a place to spend the night, then it is a great choice.

The hotel is not suitable for those who want to spend more time there. The cheapest room option was a room without a window, small, no hair dryer, other advantages. Breakfast is not plentiful (buns, yogurt, coffee). So if it's important, it won't work. If the hotel is just a place to spend the night, then it is a great choice.

Excellent location on la rambla. The room is small and needs updating, but it was very clean from top to bottom. The breakfast was very basic with croissants, and several types of bread, butter and jam; A coffee machine dispensed about 10 different kinds of hot beverages. And also orange juice and yogurt were available. Joanna was very helpful in getting me A new key card made when the magnetic strip kept losing it's magnetic strength. And an elevator to get to the 5th floor!

The walls are very thin, about what you would expect from an old building.In fact I could hear the person in the next room farting! I don't know why this hotel has received so many negative reviews because there was nothing wrong with it. I have stayed in hotels that were a dump, So I know what a dump looks and feels like! And that does not fit The roma At all. Maybe some gen x'ers just expect perfection?

The location of the property was excellent. The price for the location was amazing. Beds were really comfy and the room was very clean. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. This is a one star hotel so rooms are very basic but for a city stay where we spent around 24 hours in total at the hotel it met all our needs and would happily stay here again.

The breakfast wasn’t very good at all, but for the cost of the hotel we really didn’t mind. We only tried it the first morning and then used the artisan coffee shop in the square and cappuccinos as well round the corner. Both had very good coffee and croissants at a reasonable price. I would happily for go the breakfast due to the fact the hotel was such good value

Hotel ia basic one star but is clean and serves a purpose for me personally as i come quite regularly to barca to watch fcb play and whenever possible use this hotel and never had issue. Superb location and breakfast basic but you get what you pay for if you want or expect four or five star then dont bother staying here but for me personally its great fir a short city break.

My only real negative is at breakfast they put out two types of bread roll and croissants the latter being lovely i must add and jam and marmalade but nothing really to put on the bread rolls like cheese or ham.

The room was very quiet and clean. The hot water was great. The staff were all very helpful and kind. The position of this hotel had easy access to La Rambla, catch the Hop on Hop off bus, good alley restaurants, supermarkets and shops. I would stay again if I returned to Barcelona

I don't care for the key card dropping into a wall slot to enter and leave. The high ceilings and tile floor left the room very cold and took so long for the heat to kick in after entering and placing the key in the slot for the electricity to turn on again.

This hotel is the perfect location for us. We love being right off the Ramblas and near Jazz venues. We can walk everywhere or take a taxi or a bus. The accommodations are simple. The included breakfast is basic. It is more than enough for us. If you order a taxi at the front desk, they will come directly to the hotel. Otherwise, the tax will bee you on Ramblas which is across the court yard. This is helpful when you are arriving or departing with luggage

It was noisy in Placa Reial at night but not enough to keep us from loving this location.
