The owner obviously thought of every detail in the renovation of this 17th century building. Our room was thoughtfully appointed and every detail was attended too from the robes and slippers, the hot water and tea, the beach towels, the wonderful functional air conditioning and the toiletries in the bathroom. Carla and staff have mastered the art of hospitality setting up our dinner reservations, providing directions and recommendations for activities and even parking our car! The breakfast included fresh pressed juices, freshly baked goods, amazing coffee, fresh fruit and eggs of your choice. This wonderful little gem in the middle of a quaint medieval town center exceeded our expectations as did the hospitality! We really had a tough time leaving and an even tougher time entering our new room in our next location.

La Bionda is unlike any other hotel experience we'd ever had. The Hotel itself is intricately decorated with stunning decor. The terraces, communal areas and dining area all exude a calming and relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in two different rooms; the first was Valentina which was their exquisite suite room. It opened up to a stunning terrace and had a beautiful, spacious bathroom with a gorgeous bathtub. The second room was smaller however equally stunning with beautifully curated decor. Both rooms were tidy, neat and clean with considered details like maps, bath products, robes etc. The complementary breakfast was also a highlight, especially in its relaxing, open setting. Much of it was sourced from local farms and artisans which was special. The location of the place is very central as it is right in the town square with a multitude of restaurants, bars and cafes close by. Lastly, Carla, the host of La Bionda is most definitely the beating heart of the place. She is friendly, kind and extremely generous with her time and very happy to assist with providing recommendations and making restaurant reservations. La Bionda holds a very special place in our heart and we can't wait to return! We would recommend it to everyone.

The hotel was so charming, beautiful, and intimate. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and Carla and her staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make my stay as special as possible - from parking to making reservations, etc. The location of the hotel can’t be beat - it’s right in the center of Begur.

I didn’t realize that there isn’t staff onsite 24/7 and would have liked to know this as a solo female traveler beforehand. However, I still felt very safe and had Carla’s phone number if I needed anything after hours.

One of the nicest boutique experiences I’ve ever had. This gem is run by Carla, the owner, who makes the place be as amazing as it is, with her genuine kindness, friendliness and hospitality. She makes you feel so welcome. You can tell her love and dedication to La Bionda in every detail! I had to take the bus to the airport with my usual embarassingly huge bags, and she insisted on helping me out ( uphill!) ínstead of grabbing a taxi, like a friend who is hosting you at her home and finds joy in helping out, that ladies and gentlemen, is true hospitality! The interiors are something else . The furniture curation is impeccable, full of character yet super high end. Every space has so much identity, I love the vaulted ceilings and how they managed to create a cool modern space without compromising the nature of the old bones which are so special. As many say very Wes Anderson indeed but I also could see a lot of Catalonian elements in the interiors, which I loved. The breakfast is delicious, the table setting is adorable, the patio, everything is just spot on! This place is an absolute must go in Costa Brava ! Can’t wait to visit again!

Absolutely amazing boutique hotel. They have carefully thought about every single detail in the room and the hotel/facilities. The breakfast was divine: everything is source locally and there was great variety without having too many options. I also loved the host, Carla, and the staff working there who had a plethora of recommendations in the area which in my opinion were better than the recommendations online. All in all, I would def recommend this place and will def be back again.

The wine in the bar was not my favorite.

La Bionda is one of my favorite hotel experiences of all time! First and foremost, Carla is a wonderful host. From the moment you walk in the door, she makes all her guests feel at home. The hotel design is impeccable and the rooms are super cozy. La Bionda is very well-located in the center of precious Begur and is walkable to cafes and restaurants and only a short drive to the coast. (Carla is always at the ready with great recommendations, too!) Finally, the breakfast is so fresh, delicious and generous. I cannot say enough good things about La Bionda!!!

The property was beautiful. Every room was uniquely designed and all of the common spaces were lovely. The staff were all so kind and helpful, especially Carla, who was so personable and checked in on us everyday. She offered excellent recommendation for Begur and the surrounding area. Breakfast was divine! A excellent a la carte selection each morning that we thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to. Such a beautiful place, we can’t wait to come back.

Fabulous little hotel, conveniently located in the centre of Begur. Extremely well run by lovely people. They couldn’t do enough for us, from help parking car, to restaurant reservations, etc.. Hotel is beautifully decked out. Very unique place. Definitely one for the discerning traveller!

Our room (Maria) was a little on the small side for us and a tad dark. Very minor criticism and didn’t spoil our stay. Next time will book a larger room!

Beautifully renovated boutique hotel in 1930’s style with amazing attention to detail. A great location in the centre of beautiful old town of Begur, just a few minutes stroll from many nice restaurants and little bars and only 10 minutes drive from the stunning coastline. Simply excellent level of customer service from the whole team beyond any other hotel we have stayed in and Carla was ever so helpful and friendly before and throughout our whole stay going above and beyond to make us feel truly welcome and special. The breakfast was delicious, fresh and genuinely felt like a treat to start the day with it. It was an absolute joy to stay at this lovely and unique hotel, we warmly recommend it and cannot wait to go back soon!

We loved everything about this hotel. A boutique hotel in Begur with the best staff ever. (Thank you Carla, Julia, and Carla). We dealt mostly with Carla who met us at the tourist center and helped us with our bags back to the hotel. She was amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and always going above and beyond…A ray of sunshine. She would add 3 additional stars to any hotel she works at. The breakfasts, which were included in our stay, were delicious and freshly made, right down to the juices they blended. The room was spacious and clean with a great sense of charm. It overlooked part of town. The village of Begur was a great place to stay in Costa Brava!

All was good. There was nothing we didn’t like.
