Hotel Ciudad Cangas de Onis

Ideally located for the town and for driving out to other locations. The rooms were large and very good.

After a storm on the Friday night there was no internet in the rooms, even up until the Tuesday morning when we left it had not been repaired. We had to keep going and sitting on the stairs near to the reception. Breakfast was good but if there was a lot of people then things never got replaced when they ran out. Toiletries were not always replaced in the rooms.

Location is walking distance to the centre, with several options for food and entertainment close by. The bed was gigantic and really comfortable. The room also had a lot of space, with a nice view to the river behind the hotel. The hotel employees were really nice on all of our interactions. Spanish was clearly the preferred language, but English was also spoken.

The breakfast options were heavily skewed towards the sweets, with not so many savoury options which are already common on other hotels (no bacon, no eggs, etc.). The available options were nice though. The hotel parking is horrendously tight, with several close walls and pillars. I have a C-segment car and I had to do several manoeuvres to fit on my assigned place, which was one of the easiest ones to park.

Clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A little bit pricey but is located in an area of spectacular scenery.

On a road with limited parking

good location, about 5-10 min from city center and famous bridge. we had room 408 on attic and was good size with nice light from helix window. lovely garden with river and Mountain View to relax after hike, breakfast also served there. clean room and comfy big bed.

Breakfast price a bit overpriced 10 euro for buffet without hot food.

Loved the location. The staff were fantastic and the room was really nice and comfortable.

The only thing that wasn’t great was that the aircon did not work and the room, even with the window open was quite stuffy.

Parking was only available on the street and it was very difficult to find a street parking spot… we drove around Sri quite awhile before we could find a spot and it was several blocks away from the hotel

Great location for a nights stop over when touring. Near to cafe' and bars.Plus safe parking for motorcycles & cars. Great choice for breakfast.

Very friendly staff that were very patient with my rudimentary Spanish language skills.

Room air conditioning unit did not work as effectively as I would have liked. The window did work so I was able to open it up as an alternative to some extent.

The hotel is beautiful, beds very comfortable, location excellent, planning to stay here next time I come to the city. All the staff was amazing, made you feel like your home. Excellent values

Secure parking for motorcycles in hotel secure parking off street. Hotel receptionist was a hoot, her sense of humour was well funny, again an indication of real people in the real Pico's. Great overnight stop off if touring around Pico's on bikes
