We stayed at Al Campanario for two nights. We know the house from previous trips to Competa but this was the first time we saw what Willy and Annemie had achieved. The house is full of character and retains many of its original features, in particular the antique floor tiles that were present throughout the house. The house is situated just round the corner from the main square in Competa and is handy for the local restaurants and the 16th Century church. Our room was very clean and spacious, with plenty of natural light. The bathroom was also very clean and well equipped. The bed was huge and comfortable and we were able to have a good night's sleep. Breakfast was very enjoyable and varied. We particularly liked Annemie's homemade cakes and biscuits. We enjoyed meeting the other guests at breakfast and chatting with our hosts about the local landmarks and activities. They were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We would recommend Al Campanario without hesitation.

Prime location: a few steps from the only main square in Competa, and yet very silent. Superb two-tiered roof terraces. Delightful attention to detail in the renovation of this 100+ year old house: original locks, tiling, windows& doors were kept and rooms smartly and discretely redesigned to suit modern standards (wet areas & heating). The owners obviously wished to share their dream of a loving happy place to live. Prices are very decent given the quality. Ideal for solos, couples and families. I shall return.

Location is great. Right at the square in the city centre of Competa. The couple is nice and gave us some good tips. The room we had was very spacious and it's quiet. There are games you can borrow and a nice rooftop terrace. We enjoyed our 4 night stay here! Free public parking is close by but you do need to walk up the 'hill'.

The bathroom is open and just divided with a curtain. Not a big deal for us but might be good to know. Due to corona we couldn't have breakfast at the place which was communicated before we arrived. We got compensation for it so no big deal. So no idea how the breakfast is.

Great location right in the middle of a beautiful town. Felt very safe and quiet. We chose a small room, it was fine for 2 people to stay.

Only downside is that the toilet is in the room and doesn't have any door or privacy. So only stay with someone you know very well! The owners prepared us in advance for this, so we were expecting it and weren't surprised.

Room very confortable, airy, very tidy and clean. Great bed and cozy atmosphere. The hosts were very helful and they prepared a very good and tasty breakfast everyday. Good location in the center of the county, close to the church and restaurants. Terrace with a spectacular view to the county and at night is a great place to chat and relax.

A beautiful building. Our room was comfortable and really tastefully decorated. Very clean. The breakfast selection was good. Fresh home baked bread which was delicious. One morning with had scrambled egg which was yummy and the next morning home make quiche - again absolutely yummy.

Beautiful B&B in a great location, right next to the main plaza in Competa with lovely restaurants, bars and shops. Hosts are so friendly and helpful. We stayed in the family suite with our 2 young boys, very spacious and clean, boys loved the bunk beds & our bed was super comfortable. breakfast was fabulous, I informed them before we arrived that my husband is Vegan & I have a dairy intolerance, they happily catered for us without any problems, we were so impressed.

Charming B&B run by a delightful couple. Great location close to the main square, but set back in quieter cul de sac. Fabulous tiled floors throughout the house - perfect Andalusian ambiance.
