My husband and I had the most wonderful stay. The room was very spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, the roof terrace was perfect and all the facilities were at an incredibly high standard. The owners were exceedingly friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was provided and served to a very high standard. And the complimentary drinks on the roof terrace were an unexpected treat! We will definitely return!

we slept in a room without external window

Oam not the type of person who would normally post a review (good or bad). However We recently had the pleasure of staying with Dave and Tracy for a night and we can tell you, there's nowhere else we'd rather stay. What a beautiful modernization job they've done to the house! The rooms are perfectly equipped complete with tea coffee water and locally sourced Spanish treats and the smell of clean linen is very welcoming as we walked into the spotlessly clean spacious double room. Dave, an excellent singer and showman (ask if he's got any shows on when you book, you won't regret it!) Offered to make us dinner as we arrived stressed and hungry and in no time, presented us with a Thai feast that wouldn't be out of place in any restaurant. Tracy then opened a bottle of wine that we shared with us on their terrace. What a view to sit and drink a glass of wine! All said, these lovely people are super hosts who could not do enough for us. making us feel comfortable and relaxed, they left us alone when needed and kept us company through the evening. the room had heating and aircon which was easy to use. our ensuite bathroom had fresh fluffy towel and towel warmer which was a nice touch. Normally the water pressure in Spain can be weak, but here I had an amazing refreshing power shower with adjustable shower head and the large waterfall shower head was a real luxury in this area of ​​Spain and it was easy to adjust the water temperatures. we had an exceptional sleep and awoke refreshed. we went to the kitchen where we were offered all types of breakfast items and hot drinks where provided. Along with a wealth of information about the local area and things to see and do.We arrived as guests but left with new friends. We highly recommend you book here if your staying in the area, you won't regret it!

Everything was perfect

We were told that the parking was close by and it only took 2 minutes to the front door. We were met by the hosts David and Tracy and they couldn't have been more helpful. Took us up to the roof terrace and given a most welcomed cold drink whilst taking in the stunning views. We always judge by "value for money" and we just had to give this B+B top marks. Fantastic spacious airconditioned room with stunning en-suite. Tea, coffee and even chocolate biscuits. At breakfast we were given a wide choice both hot and cold - all of which was excellent. We have stayed in many but this was without doubt the best Value for money to date. We will be back!

First up, the hosts get 10/10 for the way they treat their guests; nothing is too much trouble. We booked an inside room with a private bathroom, and that is exactly what we got, but with a twist as far as the bathroom goes. The bedroom, being inside, had no natural light, but it was a well-lit room that was both clean and comfortable. The kettle with tea and coffee provided was a nice touch as was the efficient aircon in the room. The private bathroom was as good as you will find in any four-star hotel; in fact it was exceptional, BUT it is not ensuite. Anyone booking the inside room should know that to get to the bathroom allocated to the room, you have to go out into the hall and up four steps. The breakfast offered was continental, and there was a good choice, including fruit and cold cuts. The three-night stay in the town was great value, and of course, we knew the town was up in the mountains, which made the trip even more special. Located near the square we had plenty of choice as far as restaurants go.

After getting over the surprise that "private bathroom" did not mean ensuite, we adapted. It turns out that listings on booking.com are either private bathrooms or shared bathrooms. As the bathroom we had was not shared by anyone else (there are rooms with ensuite available), it qualifies as a private bathroom. It's not ideal if you need to use the bathroom at night, but it did not spoil our stay in such a great value B & B with such nice hosts.

My husband 67yrs old and I 56yrs old stayed for 5 nights. We had B&B. The breakfast was excellent quality English choice with continental meats and cheeses. Owners are incredibly flexible about time of breakfast, to suit your personal needs. Our room was on the ground floor with 2 steps down into room, it was beautifully accessorised with fresh clean bedding, and matching colour in shower room. It was very cool at night even without air-con switched on. The bed was amazingly firm and comfortable. There is a roof terrace at the top of the B&B perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening watching the sun go down. The B&B is in a very quiet lane but just 200 metres walk from the square where there are a number of restaurants providing a fabulous service, although I would suggest booking a table if eating in the square. Dave and Tracey are brilliant hosts with lots of knowledge and info. There is a local hotel 5 mins walk which has a swimming pool for the public to use. Price for the day about €15.00 each. If you drive 10mins to canilas de Albaida there is a municiple pool for €6.00 each, beautiful pool and a little cafe. Hopefully we are going back again for another short break in October and will definitely stay at KiCo again. We stayed 4 nights in Traceys and Davids Bed and Breakfast and enjoyed every minute. The room was tidy and suited with new furnishers. The beds were comfortable and cosy. As we were traveling as friends, we were happy to have a twin bed. next to our sleepingroom we had a separate bathroom. This room was as well as the rest of the bed&breakfast freshly renovaded. The rainbowshower was a highlight. Furthermore the bathroom was clean and we had fluffy towels. Tracey and David are the most amazing hosts you can ask for. They are not only welcoming and warm hearted, they also recommended great restaurants close by. The breakfast was very rich and healthy. Tracey tried to make everyone comfortable during breakfast and most mornings we enjoyed the breakfast together with the other guests in the big kitchen. Therefore we had an amazing start in the day. All in all we enjoyed our stay a lot. The bed and breakfast is clean, tidy and located directly competa. We would love to come back, whenever we are back in town again. Thank you for the great time.

What a great b & b. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Great hosts, great accommodation, newly renovated, safe and secure parking nearby and very close to bars restaurants and shops. Plus a lovely hillside town to explore. Competa is the most friendly place with a good deal of local history to discover. Breakfast included a good choice of food and was nice and informal. An ideal relaxing place and we will definitely return, thanks David and Tracey.

Nothing to dislike here

Good continental breakfast with plenty of choice. Bed very comfortable. Rooms spotlessly clean, Decoration was very well thought out, modern, clean and extremely pleasing. The town is right on your door, just around the corner but the house itself is very quiet and peaceful. We had everything we needed and Tracy and Dave were the most friendly, helpful owners and couldn't do enough for us. I would recommend this accommodation and would definitely make this my first choice in Competa. Thanks Tracy and Dave you should be proud of your efforts.
