VS Gandía Palace Hotel ****

This hotel surpassed all my expectations! It was my first time as a solo traveler in Gandia, and I felt very safe and happy. The hotel staff made me feel welcome all the time and were very helpful even though my Spanish is very limited. I wasn't aware that Gandia is quite far from central Valencia, but I was glad that I stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed my stay in VS Gandia Palace Costa Blanca! I was upgraded to a room with a direct view of the beach and a huge balcony! I watched the sunrise every morning from bed and the waves crashing on the shore. It was absolutely gorgeous! It's a huge luxury hotel, very spacious and clean. The staff are very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The hotel is 2 steps from the beach with lots of cafés and restaurants. If you dont feel like eating out, the hotel room service is excellent!they make one mean buger (very delicious with Iberico ham), and the quality of the food is great! The swimming pool is an oasis! Beautifully lined with palm trees and a little waterfall. The music is great and the vibes are very fun and hip. There was a DJ every night this summer! The bar is great! Variety of options and lots to eat and drink poolside while vibing with the music. A shout-out to the wonderful breakfast room staff! Dedicated and always happy to help with a big smile! Nothing. Absolutely wonderful.

The room was excellent: very clean, well lit and spacious. We had an extra large bed that was very comfortable. Wifi connection was decent but we needed to ask for extra login access because they only give you a code that can only connect 2 devices. Most people have laptops and iPads so it was an unnecessary extra step to get access to internet.

The reception could have placed us in a room that was not directly next to other guests. Our neighbours were partying in their room ALL night. It was very loud and their talk and laughter woke me and my husband up multiple times during the night. Normally this would be understandable, but the hotel is very large but it was NOT full. There were not a lot of guests during our stay so the least the hotel could have done is to not pack all the guests in consecutive rooms. I have worked in the hotel industry before so I know they do this so that housekeeping would be easier during check out. Also €10 for room service? Seriously?

Room was clean and tidy. With all areas in the hotel to the same standard. Staff where very friendly particularly the reception staff. Some areas i felt could do with tidying up decoration wise but all in all good.

Peace and quiet. Pool bar very good. Nice clean pool and well looked after.

The location is perfect for going to party and beach. The staff was very kind.

Very few hamacs in the pool. The buffet really poor, a lot of variety yes but the food wasn't tasty at all, at least not for Spanish people, maybe it is for British

Beautiful spacious room, with fantastic beds, great balcony with great view, bathroom was excellent. Very nice bar/lounge area next to the pool with friendly bartender, very enjoyable. Easy parking

The elevators were slow and they were not working due to the town losing electricity for a bit.

Beautiful views from the sea view room and just a few minutes walk from the real thing. Smart comfortable room and welcoming staff. Would definitely visit again
