Lovely big room in great guest house. Nice roof terrace. Great location in Gaucin.

Breakfast only served from 9 am which was way too late and they didn't offer us a packed breakfast (which quite a few other places on our trip had done).

The central location was amazing. The parking in GauGaucin is difficult but not just for the property. The room was clean and spacious. The restaurant which is on site but run as a separate business was fantastic and well worth a visit. Decor was tasteful and sympathetic to the building. Checkin was quick and easy

The mattress was a little soft for me, but my partner liked it and there were only two pillows so one each.

This is a gorgeously renovated house with beautiful rooms. Our bathroom even had a bath! As we were there in the low season, we were unable to try the breakfast or the restaurant. The beds were especially comfortable and the quality and quantity of the bedding was just right. There is a shared sitting room with books and games which was equally beautifully decorated. A perfect hotel.

The only minor issue was the noise of the few vehicles driving down the road outside the window - but hey, this is a village location, so there is bound to be some street noise!

Great hotel when staying the night at Gaucin, which we did, as we were having dinner in the more than excellent restaurant Fructuosa. Rooms at the back have stunning views over the mountains/valleys. Parking is possible in the town, never more than a 10 min walk.

There was a small technical issue but owner already had appointment set to fix. (this is not a modern building) but great atmosphere.

Good choice of menu for all. Excellent choice for Gaucin. We were made very welcome and we would definitely go there next time.

Beautiful restored townhouse done in authentic Spanish style with stunning views of the village & across countryside to Gibraltar & Africa.

It was really far too hot not to have air conditioning but a ceiling fan. We did know hotel rooms had none but this hotel just didn’t have the thick walls, heavy wooden shutters & small windows to help keep room cool, which other similar hotels we have stated in had. We just didn’t sleep well & room very hot to relax in.

Good location in the village and on the hillside with fantastic views. Breakfast was served on the terrace with lovely plants and the views across the hills. Friendly helpful service. Very comfortable room. Great location for walks in the area although too hot in Sept when we stayed. The roof terrace was a lovely place to relax and read a book/have a drink.

Hadn’t realised that the cheaper rooms were because they faced the street. Definitely worth paying a little more for the rooms at the rear. As there was availability in the other rooms we managed to upgrade after our first night and the second room was lovely and much quieter. Bit disappointed to find that the restaurant was closed for a refurbishment during our stay. We had a lovely meal at Azulete in the village on our first night but other meals were just ok.

La Fructosa is a lovely little hotel is the center of the “white village “ of Gaucin. The rooms are spacious, bright and impeccably clean. The bathrooms and room are modern with excellent amenities. There is a tasty breakfast which costs extra and you can have a high-end chef dinner as well; if you’re lucky the live music will be in. Finally, I have to comment on the owner Daniel, who was so helpful to us during our stay. He was gracious and helpful during our stay but when we had a problem with our following stay, he spent over an hour on the phone helping us with our problems (a scam apartment rental in town). This kind of service is rare and was much appreciated. Thank you sir. ps…don’t miss the art gallery

The property is great but the Gaucin streets are narrow with lots of hard to see, one-way streets.

The view was amazing. The restaurant was really good!! Very charming room with cute decor. Spectacular mountains with a large number of beautiful white villages nearby.

World have loved somewhere to sit outside. We wanted to go to the public pool but it is only open in July and august.

individual characterful hotel. fabulous service from Pina who made us feel so very welcome and comfortable. very good breakfasts and Sunday lunch in the restaurant, spacious room with fabulous views. we really enjoyed spending an hour. on the roof terrace in the sun with amazing views across to Gibraltar and Moroccan mountains.

pillows were small and hard. in mid-January restaurant was closed in evening - as were all restaurants and bars in town! - however we made good picnic supplied by local shops, especially the wine shop with good local produce and excellent chocolate
