April 2023

Our stay at this hotel was exceptional!! We were there April 8-12 and those 4 days made our Madrid trip one of the best out of country trip we’ve had not to mention that we planned this trip on our own. We normally booktrips with some known tour agencies but decided to do it ourselves this time for this Spain vacation. The moment we stepped into the hotel, the reception was very welcoming. They had Patricia who was able to communicate to us in our language and was very pleasant and provided us with suggestions on sites to visit and food places to go and we were glad we took her advice. Brian at the reception was always ready to assist. He even presses the elevator door for you right when you step in . Small things to some but made a big difference to us coz these are services you probably get from 5 star hotels. The hotel is central in location - right across plaza espana and very accessible to both the metro bus and train. Metro 001 is free and can take you to most sites -gran via , sol all the way to atocha station . To have a free shuttle and the train station at plaza espana right on your doorway is a ++++. All we needed was the combo 10 journey ticket for Metro to visit places. The area is quiet. Not much foot traffic. And yet Gran Via is a traffic light away. If You forgot to bring extra clothes or want to do some shopping - cross the street and there is Zara! The room we had on 6th floor was clean and inviting. Bathroom is likewise clean. Bathroom essentials provided - shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair dryer , bathrobe and slippers too. Breakfast buffet is very good. They had a wide selection of food from breads, fruits, veggies , cheese , hams , sausages , omelette station , pastries and more . Its open 7-11 . So you do not need to worry waking up later to have brunch and go on with your day. It was worth it. We were ready to go with our plan for the day right when we get out of our hotel.

This is one of my favourite hotels to stay at when in Madrid. Great location, spacious rooms, really comfortable and large beds, and the best shower facility I have ever seen anywhere. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. This visit, I also tried their onsite restaurant La Santa Maria several times and really enjoyed the food. Also the desk and internet are excellent.

The prices are quite high, but I do enjoy it. Also, this time there were a few technical glitches. Nothing serious and they were very good in responding.

Nice, clean rooms, good beds. Wonderful location, close to the shopping district, museums, central squares, park, restaurants,... Friendly staff during check-in and check-out.

Toilet seperated by a glass door, but not fully seperated, so the privacy is a bit less. We stayed during the weekend and could hear the next door nightclub from midnight to 6 o'clock in the morning very loudly, even on the 7th floor. The public parking is close by, but you cannot access it through the hotel.

Firstly, every member of staff I spoke you were WONDERFUL; very warm, kind, helpful. Everyone spoke wonderful English, I regret that I couldn't speak Spanish. They contributed much to how nice my experience was. Including the cleaners and breakfast staff. Loved that I had a bottle of water each time my room was cleaned. The cleaners even asked, of the sachets, which I would prefer to have more or less (tea or coffee etc). The location is fantastic also. The Cervantes monument is one of my favourite sculptural peieces in Madrid so it was nice to see it every day. Not far from the palace of course as well as bars and restaurants. I went to see a ballet by Compañía Nacional de Danza @cndanzaspain my firend performed in at Teatro de Zarazuela which wasn't far. I saw SILVIA PEREZ CRUZ @silviaperezcruzzzzz perform at the Noches de Botanico festival which was wonderful - it was about an hour's walk. Also the bathroom products were all great. I was only there for a couple of days but wish I was there longer.

Only issues were the swimming pool was too cold and I would have liked an espresso machine in the room. Reina Victoria had an espresso machine which meant I could buy my own pods which is really nice. It was nice to have a nice coffee in the room and saved me buying coffee outside plus it was too hot to want to buy coffee. But it's a very minor issue.

We are a family of four with small children and were visiting Madrid during a long weekend. We loved the hotel's location across from a park with a playground. There are many nice restaurants around the hotel and it's walking distance to some of the sites such as the Palacio Real. The hotel is modern, clean, spacious and with all the amenities. The family suite was spacious and comfortable. The kids loved the pool. Breakfast was not included in the rate so we walked across the street to grab breakfast at a nearby coffee shop. Customer service was outstanding. Everyone was super nice to us and the children.

We loved our stay here and would stay at this hotel again. The breakfast was not included in the room price and turned out to be more expensive than the price advertised on booking.com (I believe it was 30 euros per person, which we thought was a bit pricey, particularly for small children). The pool requires reservations ahead of time. The children were disappointed they were not able to use the pool the day we arrived because all the slots were taken. So make your reservations before you arrive!

Location was perfect! Central with an amazing gym a minute walk away. A lot of incredible brunch spots a walk away. Gran Via is a walk away.. need i go on. Location is great. Staff are friendly, helpful and cheerful. Facilities and decor are stunning and chic. The king room I stayed in had an open bathroom (no door that closed it off) so I worried it wouldn’t vent well but this was no issue.

Gym is useless unless you like to only do cardio. If not just go to the gym around the corner called Body Factory where you can get a day pass. For a king room the bathroom was small compared to like a twin room for example which had a big one.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. I couldn't fault the cleanliness of the hotel. The breakfast is fantastic. Check in and check out were both smooth and efficient.

There are cracked tiles in the lift, and one of the mirrors is cracked. One of the light bulbs needs replacing in the pool area. The bottom level in the sauna is broken. Although we left towels and gowns hanging up, they were still removed and washed every day. On one day a gown was taken and not replaced, so I had to go to Reception to ask for another one. On our last day we used the pool, and when we got back to our room the key didn't work. I did not like going to Reception in the bathrobe to sort the problem out.

Excllent hotel in term of staff, comfort, location and services. Breakfast was very rich. Room service was fast. House keeping was good. Front desk staff were very friendly. Special Thanks to Ms. Sonia who was very helpful in all aspects. Mr Gonzale was excllent. Ms Kristina too.

In fact we liked everything. So I do not have anything to complain about. But I think assigned full time concierge will help a lot. I wrote twice to the hotel asking for a hotel car to pick us from the airport to the hotel. I did not get any reply. So we waited in the airport for more than an hour to take a taxi. It was so crowded over there.

The hotel was amazingly located, right across the street from Plaza de Espana metro station. It took us 35 minutes door to door to get to and from the airport. All sites and restaurants were in walking distance. The room was spacious and had everything we needed.

The hotel has obviously recently been re-done. So obvious that some of the new appliances/fixtures still smelt of the packaging they came out of. We were probably just the unlucky first people to have stayed in our room. But opening the window helped and it was not overwhelming/did not ruin our stay.
