Hostal CC Malasaña

Staff was very kind and helpful. I’m a female solo traveler so location is really important for me, and I felt safe around hotel neighborhood even at the night. Close to metro station, easy to get to center and to airport. The room was generally clean. There was enough space.

Room temperature was a bit cold for me, when I tried to increase the temperature, the air conditioner screen automatically returned to the initial temperature. There were some hairs in the bathroom that wasn’t mine.

1. loved the breakfast, simple but delicious, especially the homemade orange juice 2. the shower was awesome-hot and good pressure and ample towels, 3. the desk personal were very friendly and helpful 4. central location and easy to walk to the Prado, Thyssen Museum etc 5. very clean

1. a bit noisy with people coming and going in the evening, 2. would be nice to have a bit earlier check-in say around noonish, check-in a bit awkward in terms of timing and on-line registration- 3. would like to have evening desk personal say to 8 ish

Simple hotel/hostel in an excellent location. The staff are the most pleasant aspect of CC Malasaña, very helpful and friendly every time you see them and as a solo traveller it really helps to make you feel comfortable. Everything worked perfectly and plenty of sockets available for any devices you need to plug in. Extremely clean. There is some simple food and drink available at the hotel but I didn't try any of it as you are surrounded by every kind of restaurant and cafe, bar grill or fast food you can imagine. All within from a few seconds to a few minutes walk.

The fumigation or cleaning substance used on premises had a weird smell for me. Not unpleasant, just strange. It wouldn't prevent me from returning but I noticed it for sure.

Staff was really helpful. The area is great. Everything is well organized and clean. I would definitely use this accomodation again.

One gets a numer of emails after booking, asking for confirmation by payment, including emails with titles like "your credit card doesn't work" even though I had not even used it or entered my credit card information anywhere etc. ... I thought that was a bit weird. Hoever, after emailing the hotel, direct bank transfer was also possible ... the fact that you don't meet anyone during your stay, checking in or out makes the whole experience a bit unpersonal ... however, if you phone the telefone number that is given or go and find the people at the hotel desk in the moring, the are very helpful and super friendly.

The value for money is great. It is a very simple hotel with all basic requirements and fairly comfortable at a very affordable price particularly for the location. Definitely its location and price are by far the best features of this place. Don't expect anything super fancy but it is nice, comfy and clean.

The entry is a bit shady. It's just a small kind of dark staircase up to the rooms. The common areas in general are limited and they are not great. Just make sure that you are looking for is simply a place to stay and that you won't spend too much time at the hotel. Meaning is good if you are an active tourist or on a work tirp.

The room was small but it matched all my needs. The room was clean and quiet as it faces the courtyard. The location was near shops and cafes but the room was not noisy. Check in was done ahead online and I received codes for electronic locks so didn't really meet the staff, but upon check out they let me store my luggage at the counter for the day and staff was helpful. I only stayed for one night but it was a really good experience!

location was great, my first room was the best. fast wifi

there’s no elevator. it is located close to a club so you hear the music until late at night. the pipe in my sink bursted in the early AM and flooded the bathroom, the receptionist came to the rescue and got me a new room but my replacement room was smaller and not as nice and the A/C unit let out this smell that smelled like urine, I think the filters need to be changed

Great location a few minutes from the metro and easy walking distance to all the main attractions. Situated in a cool area with plenty of bars and cafes. Check in was super easy even though I arrived quite late

The walls are very thin and you can hear the windows opening and showers being used in other rooms. The noise from the corridor is also loud. Having said that I assume the hotel are aware as earplugs were provided.

We liked our stay at Malasana, the location was perfect, rooms were lovely except the SINGLE room which was incredibly small and had a tiny window - if you want to stay in the single room you should be aware of that. Breakfast served in room, with toast, coffee and fresh juice was great, we only missed having an option of yogurt+granola. Overall the staff made sure to do whatever they could to make us happy. Lady at reception was great.

I do wish more attention was paid to cleanliness - vacuuming under beds and under nightstand, attention to hair left by cleaners. We also missed having the reception open in the afternoons and/or nights.

the location was great, not too busy street but close to all tourist attractions. the room was spacious and with the balcony, had a kettle, complementary tea etc

the only thing I didnt like was that first the property couldnt use any od my cards and kept sending me messages about a risk of cancelling my reservation. Plus the property kept sending me numerous and repetitive messages
