Fuencarral Apartments

Balcony view of the street was lovely. Central location only 10 min walk to Sol Metro near shops and Plaza Mayor. Comfortable sofa and clean beds. Shampoo, conditioner & hairdryer included in bathroom. Fridge, cooker & microwave for self catering needs. We loved that it was a two floor apartment but stairs aren’t for everybody! Staff were very helpful and gave us directions to & info about the metro to help us get to Mad Cool Festival in Villaverde.

Shower head was very small but had good pressure. Located up a steep hill if walking from town! Lots of prostitutes on the high street outside at night.

Perfect location and in a great neighbourhood!

It says there is a coffee machine, but there isn't. Moka pot is not a coffee machine. Also there are not enough cleaning tools (vacuum cleaner, etc.). Also, there is nothing extra in the kitchen and refrigerator. And the apartment is far from aesthetic. There is neither a painting nor a colorful seating area etc. Nothing has been done to improve the flat.

We had everything we needed as a family to sleep,prepare food ,get ready and explore the city.

The message about the key location was sent one hour prior to the check in time. As I arrived from the UK, I did not have a mobile roaming internet connection to view this message. Because my wife had mobile roaming, I could finally get the message.The message was in Spanish, I had to use Google translate to understand it. Once we understood the message, everything else from that time onwards was very smooth.

Excellent location which was so central, right in the middle of everything. Comfortable beds and clean apartment.

Some tea or coffee would have been nice. We weren’t sent check in details until just before check in time which I found quite stressful, as you usually get them in the morning, so I thought they’d forgotten. Clearer communication here would have been better.

The location is amazing if you want to be close to shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Ana in the office went out of her way to ensure our check in went smoothly, as we had to run to catch a guided tour of Prado Museum. Plus as an American, who cannot be pleased with both Dunkin and Starbucks steps away!!!

If you are looking for a 4 or 5 star hotel experience, this isn’t an option. It has basic amenities that are great for long stays or a big family trip to make Madrid affordable. If you didn’t know this going in, you might not be satisfied.

The staff were very helpful and friendly from the onset. Any questions were answered and they were always very welcoming. Although the apartment can sleep six people, I think it would be a bit small for six. We were four and it was adequate for us, The location was excellent - very central and walking distance to loads of places.

There was a lot of noise from upstairs in the night, but this was out of the control of the managers, and we could have complained, but didn't.

The location was definitely the best feature. It was easy to get around town, with the nearest metro being less than 10 minutes away (walking). Host was very friendly, easy to get keys and ask any questions. Noise was a concern before arriving but I didn't find an issue with it. Good stay if you're not planning to be in the apartment all day.

There's limited hot water each day for each apartment since they run on electricity, which is a downer if you're the last person to shower in the household. You definitely pay for what you get. For a family of 4, it was a tight squeeze, it felt like it was supposed to be for a maximum of 2 people. Also there were no basic ingredients like salt, sugar, cooking oil etc.

Location is super excellent. Loads of shops / cafes downstairs, which is great. Check in was great and staff very friendly. Area is wonderful to hang out and 5 minutes walk to Grand Via.

Access for check-in into the building is not easy, it was only by chance that somebody came out and I was able to go inside. The place is not big at all but comfortable for 4 persons definitely not five as per our initial booking. Bathroom is not great for 4 people to share.

I liked that the apartament was located in a central area with an easy access to everything you need and the communication with the host was great

I didn’t like the fact that the apartment had no hangers, so we had to put all our jackets on the chairs. The entrance door was so slim that we heard every noise from the floor, which cause us a very bad sleep during our stay.

The property was exactly what we need, perfect for a group of four. It was clean, check in procedures easy to follow up, they were very communicative and responsive. The apartment it’s walking distance to major Madrid attractions, if you like to walk, you don’t even need to use the Metro, the location it’s so convenient. The apartment is in a very nice area, full of bars, restaurants, stores, etc. I’ll definitely stay here again! Thanks!
