I loved the location, super close to two subway stations and bus nr 5 which will take you to multiple landmarks. I loved the bus, it was awesome. The hotel is very comfortable, I was able to sleep in and it was quiet and inviting. The staff was super helpful. The breakfast was great but I only really ate it twice, there are tons of restaurants in the area and I wanted to try them all! I recommend walking around the are where the hotel is located because youll find pockets of restaurants bars and cafes that are very good. Theres a large mall north of the hotel, I loved going shopping there. Area is super safe like all of Madrid.

I really enjoyed my time staying at NH Abascal. My room was clean and definitely enough space for one person. Staff were kind, and the breakfast was fantastic (so many options, high quality food, attentive staff). No matter how late I stayed up, I made a point to grab breakfast the following morning. Totally worth the cost of including it in your reservation. Gregorio Marañón (lines 7 & 10) and Alonso Cano (line 7) are the closest metro stops...and also lots of buses nearby; really easy to get to the from the airport, and also relatively easy to get to the city center from the area (Iglesia (1 line) metro stop is slightly further away.) Hotel was quiet, and located in a quiet and nice part of town; most guests I saw were older adults. If this is what you're looking for then NH Abascal is a great option!

I stayed there while it was consistently 100° F in the city for a few days, and I felt like the AC never really was cool enough, especially if I was moving around and getting ready in my room. One elevator wasn't working, so it was a bit slow, but nothing worth not staying. Other than that, I'd say I didn't see too much to do in the area...there are a few restaurants, but other neighborhoods are equally away from the city center but are a bit more lively.

Staff were professional and helpful. Special thanks to Anna. The first day, I received a thank you card and candies for being their guest. That was a very nice thing to do! The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was big and the shower's water pressure was very good. The hotel is about 20-30 mins. walk to the city centre. This hotel after each cleaning uses air fresheners that could be strong for some people, if you have allergies/asthma, I suggest that to notify the hotel prior your arrival and ask them not to use it while you are there. I was able to open the windows, which helped me with the first day, and after that I made sure that they didn't spray my room while I was there.

It was an exceptional stay. The room's comfort definitely exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, and I chose one on the quiet side, so I could open the window, and nothing disturbed me at night. The room was tastefully and functionally decorated. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so I can't evaluate it. The hotel is well-connected due to its proximity to Gregorio Maranon station. A huge plus is the extremely friendly reception staff who speak very good English. When I return to Madrid, I will definitely stay at the same hotel.

I stayed for one night after a late flight into Madrid before travelling on the next day. Before I comment on the room, I would like to say a special THANK YOU to Roberto, who was absolutely wonderful.. I left my phone in the airport taxi (after a very long day and a delayed flight), and Roberto was incredible. He was kind, he was calming, and after several calls, he managed to track down, not only the taxi company but the actual driver, and my phone was returned to me the following morning. He's my absolute hero and I'm forever grateful. The room was comfy, pretty, well stocked tea and coffee and great toiletries. Would definitely recommend.

Front desk staff are great, very friendly and professional. I like the small gym, the room was good and servicing of the room was good, I was put off by breakfast last time I stayed at their sister property around the corner, the Zurbano, it was just so average with poor service, so didn't try the restaurant this time at the Abascal, so cannot comment.

The bathroom needs work, broken tiles. Toiletries ( bath gel/shampooh) are needed by the bath, air con difficult to use ( might be broken ) English tv channel wasn't working. The restaurant is much too bright, too much lighting, no atmosphere, so was put off having a drink.

The great thing about NH Collection is that it always fulfils my expectations. A clean, quiet, comfortable room with all the amenities you actually need. The hotel is very well located, close to Barrio Salamanca and Chamberi, where you will find the country’s best restaurants and shopping boutiques. I have frequently staid at the hotel and will always return for its very reasonable price/value.

Per night prices used to range around 120€, the last time I staid here I paid around 180€ per night, which I find way too exaggerated for this hotel.

Convenient location (easy to get taxi, a convenient store 2 blocks away, many restaurants nearby), professional staff (check-in was quick, checked us in at 1:00PM, reception staff went on street to help us get a taxi), bedroom was very clean but quite small (roughly 1.0m space left on three sides of the bed), bathroom is very big, complement water and coffee with an electric kettle (very rare to find a kettle in a hotel in Spain), GYM size was adequate and very clean with water and towels.

Room size was very small. enough space to open only one big luggage. The second door at entry was very awkward, it either blocks the entry or the bathroom.

The stuff was very good and polite, they have strong customer service. From the moment we arrived they made us feel very comfortable. We went the weekend for my birthday and the stuff gifted me with a free breakfast, and they surprised me with a small cakes eith a candle to blow it. It wasn’t unexpected and it make me feel very happy. They made my day!!. I really appreciate it that from them. I’m so grateful they way they treated us. Definitely, for my next trip to Madrid I will book again with them.

Good breakfast, but perhaps getting a bit booring during a 4 night stay, could be some more veriety. Overall a very nice hotel, very serviceminded people working there, clean, good areas. Good value for the money. On the outset it can seems to be a bit outside the central areas, but it's easy to get to the center by metro, taxi, electric scooter or simply walking.

Nothing specific was to my dislike except perhaps the breakfast. I have often suggested hotels to have a rotating breakfast so there is some veriety if you stay for 4-5 nights.
