Just outside Plaza Mayor, the location and value for its amenities are unbeatable. It is styled with cute, hipster furnishings and decor that are appealing to young budget travelers. The staff were helpful and gave us tips and a city map to explore. The rooftop bar is nice, though since it was winter we didn't see it get much use and most people hung out in the lobby and the "Cave" (basement kitchen). We attended their free sangria hour which is a fun opportunity to mingle with other travelers. We also enjoyed the free walking tour they offered through experienced freelance tour guides. The beds are firm which we liked, and the blankets are sufficient for sleeping in winter.
We stayed in a 6-bunk room, and the room was long and narrow so our bed was tucked on the far short wall partly behind another bed, making it a little hard to get in and out of. For the price of the accommodations it's reasonable that the rooms are on the small side, but maximizing capacity in a room like that means a suboptimal bed layout. There were no tables or any other flat surfaces for your items except for a single chair (in a room for 6 people) so all your belongings would have to go on your bed, locker, wall hooks, or the floor. Also, the shared bathroom floor would get quite wet from the shower, and I wish they would've offered a bath mat for that.

Good vibe, good breakfast (delicious tortilla!) Lots of bathroom access Great location
Staff (other than check in) were not very nice. (Maybe it’s cultural?) Beds were noisy and you could hear & feel upper bunk occupant turning over. A bit overpriced & trendy. No quiet work space.

The hat Madrid was a pleasant surprise! The location was fantastic. Close to plaza mayor and Sol metro station where you could easily visit all the touristy Spots and much more. The staff were polite, super friendly and helpful. My room was clean and the bathroom was also clean. Even the cleaning staff were super nice and helpful. They clean everyday. The beds were comfortable and had curtains which was lovely. Madrid as a whole is an amazingly underrated city and I recommend this place to anyone visiting Madrid. I would absolutely stay here again.
The only thing that I did not like were the pillows. They were quite uncomfortable for me personally but otherwise everything was great. Since the location is so central loud noise from the streets can be expected but it didn’t bother me.

Amazing location, just next to the Plaza Mayor. The beds are spacious and comfortable. Very good facilities!
It’s better if we have a bathroom entirely closed. We got a 8 bed female bedroom with a private bathroom inside. But there is a gap when we close bathroom door so we can see through. We need a bit privacy when we go to toilet or have a shower.

The room was terrific! We received a free room upgrade upon arrival which was such a great gift! Cleaning staff was attentive and all the facilities were very clean and well stocked. Loved the free sangria events!
We arrived before our check in and had to wait until check in to enter our room. We were exhausted and had to sit on the couch until then. I get the need to follow procedure, but I don’t see why we shouldn’t be able to enter the room if it’s vacant and clean already. Also there is only one laundry machine for the whole hostel which created a little bit of a queue.

The hostel is very nice, youthful, and new. I found my room spacious even though there were 8 people in the room. The cleanliness of both the rooms and the common areas (especially the bathroom) was surprising. The position is excellent as well. It's practically in the city center, and you can easily walk to all the major points of interest. Near the hostel, there are plenty of bars, nightlife, restaurants, and there's also a convenient supermarket right across the street. What else? The reception staff is truly extraordinary! Very competent, friendly, and super nice. The same goes for those who take care of the bar and breakfast, like Manuel, who gives you a nice energy boost in the morning! Last but not least, a special mention for the rooftop bar. I had some great moments there, especially with Raul and Joss, who never let you go without a drink and, of course, fun!!!
Perhaps I would improve (a bit) the breakfast selection.

Everything was great, the staff are super nice and the bed are comfortable. This is my spot for a quick night or two in Madrid. The location in great too. Make your own sangria nights are nightly and so are the pub crawls the hostel puts on to meet people.
In the women's only 6 bed room, the sink for the bathroom is right in the middle of the room everyone agreed that was staying in there with me that it was just really weird and super inconvenient for everyone else staying there. The bathroom was super small and very close to the beds, you couldn't pee in actual privacy, everyone in the room would hear it, same with brushing your teeth, washing your hands, washing your face, or just checking yourself in the mirror.

The central location and the option for a semi-private room with washroom inside. Quaint balcony view, great activities and lively ambience with people from everywhere. Staff was friendly and the check in process was smooth, they can hold your bags for a bit if you arrive early or leave late in the day. The elevator was modern.
The beds are. Bit squeaky so if you're traveling solo it might be uncomfortable to move or wake up your bunk bed partner. But such a hostel life, is not perfect but you get great money value. The breakfast was a bit simple for me for what you get, I recommend checking it out in person and deciding on the spot, it's the same price as if you book it in advance.

1) The staff is AMAZING. They are the ones who made my stay awesome with their upbeat attitude. They were happy to help with questions and recommendations. Sylvia, guy with long hair, guy with long beard, girl with ponytail - THANK YOU. 2) The location is great. Its 1-2 mins away from Plaza Mayor. 3) Bedrooms and washrooms were clean. 4) Breakfast is good and comes with a very instagrammable view.
1) I was in room#43 which is street facing. There was loud street noise during night hours and especially when they wash the roads in the morning. There was an option to close the balcony door, but, it was too hot in the room and the AC was not working, so, we had to keep the balcony door opened for ventillation and cooling. I did not have comfortable night sleeps. 2) They can provide hair+body wash in showers like other hostels do. Also, please add cloth hangers in showers+toilets.
