Velada Mérida

We chose this hotel because we stayed here 13 years ago and really liked it. The location is excellent. The Roman theater and amphitheater are just a pleasant walk away. The staff is friendly and efficient. Very comfortable facilities, room, etc. Convenient parking, although one must pay €8 per day.

The bathroom was quite large and very clean. However, the placement of the shower head is strange: halfway down the tub and facing the side of the tub instead of in the usual place at one end of the tub. Made it rather awkward to shower. We were next door to friends and their bathroom was much smaller. :-( (Apparently, there was a closet in the next room or space that took up some of their bathroom space.)

The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, everything worked in the room. The location was perfect for seeing the Roman ruins. The bed was very comfortable. The price was very reasonable and the paid parking was convenient, safe and not very expensive.

We had to open the window because the air conditioner would not work. We were told that the hotel doesn't turn on the air conditioners until May or June. Got a bit stuffy and warm in the room when there were no breezes blowing in the window.

We had the best meal at this location It is not a Michelin star place but the food is amazing. The staff was amazing especially the ones at the cafe. You must ask for Rosendo if you are having a meal or drinks at the bar. The room was spacious and with a view. It is a great spot if you are going on tours.

Although it is centrally located you must have some coordinates. it is a transient location in Merida . Not walking distance to museums as it is shown. You will need a taxi

Our room was beautiful and very spacious with a super king size bed and a huge bathroom with a whirlpool bath. The hotel was in a great location and had a lovely pool area to relax in. Staff were very helpful and the car park was brilliant

The breakfast wasn’t great but at the price I couldn’t complain

Hotel has excellent facilities as one would expect for a 4* hotel. It's very conveniently sited for all the major sites of interest on Merida.

The hotel decor was tired in places. The terrace was only accessible by steep stairs from the hotel or via a steep ramp outside which was part of the car park access.

We had a pleasant one night stay as we were travelling from Santander to the Costa del Sol. Hotel staff were most helpful as we requested a room change. Everything was lovely and clean and the bathroom had a nice shower. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. The hotel is only a short walk away from the lovely town and there are plenty of places to enjoy a meal in the evening. There is a safe car park with shade.

Well placed to walk to places of interest. Large ,warm and comfortable room. Helpful ,friendly staff especially on reception Convenient car park

The lift was a little noisy as the bedroom backed onto it I think but was not a problem.

Good value for money. Just 5-8 min walking to Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre and around 18-20min to center of the city.

It's not that I really didn't like it, but the bed could be better.

Good welcome. Spacious room and bathroom. Easy access to the sights of Merida, all carefully pointed out to us on the map provided at Reception.

Room was hot on arrival and surprisingly difficult to cool down. Would have preferred to be able to get food earlier in the evening.

Stayed here four times now as an overnight stop to our holiday hone on the Costa del Sol

On previous visits had always enjoyed the good selection of Tapas, but this the Restaurant offered very little choice for vegetarians. As always service of staff was excellent
