Hotel El Puntazo I

95% of my interactions and were exceptional customer service. The purpose built shower, vs a bath with a shower, was excellent. Hot water on tap, not je experience elsewhere. Room service daily. The pool was wonderful and pool towels were complimentary. Quality of the pool chairs were the best I came across over 5 other locations, Seaview pentecion was adorable, perfect for a solo traveller. Local restaurants very good to top class. A glass of Rioja was €3.80. Really good quality. Nice to enjoy while watching sport on their high quality TV screens. They have npan out door pool table. There is a local bus service that travels the length of Mojácar every 30 mins. This will take you to Mojàcar Peublo, high into the mountains for €1.20. As well as up and down the local coast line, to the Spanish (and highly recommended) Supermarket, Mercadona, based in a shopping plaza along the sea front, lovely clothing shops here too. (Exclusive airport shuttles) €39 return or €20 one way. A shuttle bus service to and from the airport, picks up outside the Hotel el Puntazo 1.

The food in general in Spain and the hote is very meat and shell fish orientated. The chicken burger was processed chicken.

What didn't we like ! We liked everything about the hotel. Reception a very warm welcome friendly, and helpful. Terrace bar staff again friendly welcoming and very helpful. Excellent breakfast choices, the morning staff cheerful and helpful, very pleasant mornings. In the dining room. We had a lovely meal in the dining room our 2nd night. Thank you. very much appreciated x The dining room team is again very cheerful and friendly. The chef also very helpful and friendly . Thank you for such a lovely stay. We look forward to returning.

single occupancy room with comfortable double bed, private bathroom, air con & balcony

on the first morning I was woken by ‘sink noises’ in the bathroom. very strange & initially I forgot I was on my own & nearly tutted at my other half for tapping his toothbrush on the basin side. I went into the bathroom & figured it just must be noise travels so put the plug in the plug hole, closed the bathroom door & returned to bed. I did this the two further nights I was there & there wasn’t excessive noise disturbance.

Good value. Basic rooms, but clean . Location excellent. Across the road from the beach and easy walking to good range of bars and restaurants. Free parking. Nice pool area with loungers. On site cafeteria was cheap. Would definitely stay again. Ideal for a night's stay in mojacar, so we didn't have to drive and could enjoy a few drinks

Rooms very dated, but this is reflected in the price

I cannot say enough about the staff. Every member of staff we met from every sector made our stay very enjoyable and care free. Very nice people and also very helpful. The location is brilliant it’s right in the middle of the playa. We paid for the evening meal one night of our stay and it was delicious. When I got back to the reception one day I was severely sun burnt and they gave me aftersun to help with the pain very thoughtful. See you in June !!

Extremely reasonable accommodation. Very clean rooms, no frills but everything you need. Stunning pool area with loads of beds, generally very quiet. Really good hotel bar that did good lunch or breakfast food. Really helpful staff always around and kind.

Room with balcony overlooking the sea,great way to wake up. Room is a little dated but with very comfortable beds and a great shower we had no complaints. Location was good opposite the beach with bars across the road and either side,the hotel bar and pool areas were also very clean and well maintained.

Nothing not to like.

The location was great. The terrace facing the sea had excellent views and perfect for having a read on, room had good shower with pressure and strong quiet air con. The buffet food with on site chef was superb. Pool area has a waiter and a sufficient about of beds. On site parking can get full but there are other places nearby. Will be booking again

After staying here in April there was only one place I was going to book for my 2 weeks trip to Spain this time. You can’t fault this place. The hotel was heaving part of the week due to the local fiesta and still ran faultlessly throughout. I look forward to seeing my friends that work there again soon

Statf, location, pool, cleanliness

Breakfast lovely-:loads of variety and nespresso coffee. Check out not till 12- so we got an extra swim. One of the few hotels that keeps pool open to end of October. Perfect for my dog- outside enclosed courtyard. The complex is like a small village with lovely established gardens
