Loved it all, standing on our little balcony people watching with a glass of wine, exploring the hotel’s salon, looking at the beautiful pictures and costumes, the location, the bed, the amazing shower. It’s a very special hotel and the staff should be proud. Breakfast was delicious, the coffee was superb and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful.

Great that water was provided in glass bottles but hated the amount of plastic used with the toiletries provided. Other 5* hotels often provide refillable good quality toiletries these days. Also such a lot of waste on the breakfast tray, a nice buffet would be less wasteful - saying that the breakfast was delicious.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Besides the superb quality of every aspect of this hotel including location, facilities and convenience, the staff are extraordinary in their customer orientation. Upon seeing my daughter with her violin case at checkin, Safi the on duty manager told us about the surprising historic association of this hotel with Pablo Sarasate as well as Earnest Hemingway, who both stayed in the Hotel during their lifetime. The hotel continues to honor such legacy by reserving dedicated rooms where they stayed. As a surprise to my daughter, she was shown the suite where Sarasate used to stay and play his violin to the central plaza from the balcony. My daughter was given permission to play both inside the suite and from the balcony. It was an experience that is unplanned but far exceeding her expectation and will be long lasting in our memory about this hotel and this city.

The staff are very helpful as befits a 5star. The rooms, at least mine on the third floor corner, are huge and very well appointed. Facing the square has its disadvantage in that noisy revelers can be heard till the late hours. The facilities are very good. There is a restaurant which serves good breakfasts.

I do wish hotels would stop using plastic pots for butter and jam and paper packets for things like salt and pepper. I might accept it for a 2 or three star but it is an insult for a five star.

A perfect location in the heart of Pamplona set in the Plaza del Castillo amongst the famous narrow streets where the bulls run later in the summer during the San Fermin Festival week. Our room overlooked the square and was spacious, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. The hotel lacks a bar or restaurant, but there are plenty of eateries within walking distance to choose from. Breakfast is somewhat makeshift in the basement room. Staff were very welcoming friendly and obliging.

Beautiful, historic hotel in the center of Pamplona. The service from the staff was exceptional. The room was beautifully appointed. We asked for and received a tour of the room Ernest Hemingway stayed in. The included breakfast was convenient. As a special treat, we opened our doors to the Plaza del Castillo on Sunday morning to hear an accordion player playing classic Spanish music.

Excellent location. Staff extremely welcoming and helpful. We are pilgrims and were worried nice hotels May not like us turning up in the state we did. Room had a bath for our sore legs and chrome tv to watch our shows. We had room service coffees delivers early for the day of our departure.

It was excellent and I highly recommend this hotel for your Pamplona splurge.

Quality of the rooms and overall standard of the hotel are superb. Spacious room, luxurious shower, sweet and sophisticated mixture of modernity and history. It is also a landmark hotel, and not only due to Hemingway, it is really unique. Especially great is the staff: reception, cleaning ladies, -- real professionals and very-very friendly.

Your can hardly blame the hotel for its perfect location, but be aware that the night life finishes about 5 am, and the morning deliveries start about 6 sm )))

Fantastic location in the main square. Very large rooms and huge bathroom. Very clean throughout. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Valet parking service which was very helpful as hotel quite difficult to access by car.

Breakfast room dark and dingy lacking atmosphere. Poor breakfast selection offered in individual wooden box to each guest. Only one member of staff serving. Lack of relaxed seating area and bar. We think the restaurant was closed during our stay which May account for these comments.

The hotel was in an amazing location! The staff were so helpful in recommending places to go, and when they found out I was an English teacher and was a fan of Ernest Hemingway, they eagerly offered to take us up to the room where he stayed when he visited in the 1950s and 60s. My Partner said it was one of the best hotel experiences he has ever had. Pamplona has been one of our favorite stops this trip and our stay at the hotel was a huge part of it!

The "pearl" is on a corner of the main square in Pamplona. It doesn't look especially imposing from the outside but everything on the inside is very good to great. Reception staff and breakfast staff were both terrific. Breakfast is one of the bargains of our 5 weeks in Spain. The atmosphere created by the first person you meet is consistent with everything that happens.
