We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Cala Fornells! All the staff are warm and welcoming, the decor is classic and well maintained (not run-down at all). The hotel is generally very clean, and we regularly saw the hotel's maintenance man (who was also very friendly) busily making his way around the building, fixing little things here and there. It was clear to see that the hotel is under good management. I would say it's definitely worth paying a little extra for a sea view as the hotel is in a fantastic position and the view from our room was gorgeous. The buffet breakfast is excellent, it exceeded my expectations. The selection of foods on offer is generous and varied. All in all I found the hotel to be charming, clean, friendly, in a beautiful setting and very good value for money. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you to all the staff for making our trip special.

Honestly we didn't have any problems or complaints during our stay. The hotel is a real gem. I would just let future visitors know that like most beaches in Europe, the beach in front of the hotel isn't private, it's open to the public, and since it is small it can get crowded. Beach beds cost €4.50 each per day.

Charming hotel, delightful location on the beach, really lovely terrace for drinks, spacious bedrooms with big balconies, pleasant pool area without many children, general ambience of old school luxe. Great for grown ups looking for quiet, casual elegance.

It's quite a walk into town to the local bars and restaurants, rather steep too, but we found and enjoyed an alternative route through Cala Fornells village area with lovely scenery and picturesque villas that turned the trek into a pleasure.

Beautiful authentic hotel with a beautiful view on the beach! Perfect for our first holiday as a new family with a baby of 8 weeks. The room was very comfortable and clean, the breakfast is amazing and the buffet at night great as well. Until the very last minute of both breakfast and dinner, the buffet was never empty or messy. Beach beds are reserved for hotel guests until 11 am which almost guarantees you that you’ll get a bed for the day! The pool on the roof is comfortable and clean and the bar up there is perfect!

The lady at the bar at nights wasn’t very friendly, but the rest of the staff is amazing and very very helpful! Something else we didn’t like is the little village, for us it has nothing authentic and is very touristy.

One of the best holidays we have ever had. Perfect for a romantic getaway but also a family one too. The staff were the most friendliest and so helpful with great communication skills. They were happy to assist us with any request. The location is perfect, with a minibus regularly taxiing people to and from Paguera, a beach on your doorstep and beautiful rooftop pool overlooking Santa Ponsa. Cala den Monjo is really a beautiful spot only 8 minutes walk nearby. The beach was perfect with areas to sunbathe, swim and snorkel, explore and jump into the sea. I will be coming back here every year until the day I die! Heaven on earth.

30min from the airport by taxi, it is a beautiful hotel with a traditional decoration, next to a beautiful cove with a small beach. Staff is wonderful and very attentive to your needs. Rooms are big with a beautiful view on the sea. Small bathroom but was nicely modernised recently. Very good breakfast with a lot of choice. The hotel is 20min walk from the village of Paguera on a small road with sidewalk, on the way you'll find 2 nice restaurants and a grocery store. They are many kind of activities to do around (sailing, trekking, visiting...). We really enjoyed our stay.

Between the hotel and the beach, you just have to cross a small dead end road. Although this is very convenient, it can be also annoying as cars and buses can pass by. In the evening, the calm comes back and everything is nice and quiet. The sandy beach is also very small and is quickly full and noisy.

The food was superb, we ate three meals a day at the hotel ,and the quality was excellent and good value. The staff were very friendly and helpful as was the management; there was a minor incident at the pool one afternoon involving loud children etc and when we complained the following day they gave us the previous evenings meal free “ for the inconvenience “. Superb hospitality. The location is set in a beautiful bay and is a little way out of town- about 20 minutes up a hill, so bear this in mind if you have any mobility issues. We ventured in to town one day and soon returned to the sanctuary of the hotel and its own little beach. Highly recommended.

This is a little gem of a hotel in a beautiful location by the sea. The staff were exceptionally friendly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is family run and there is great attention to detail. A handwritten postcard was left in the room welcoming us along with a complimentary bottle of cava. The breakfast buffet was extensive and they did slices of spanish omelet which were delicious. Although we were in one of the less expensive rooms it was very pretty with french windows to a little balcony with a breathtaking seaview. There was a lovely pool area with seaview and there were plenty of loungers. We asked if a late check out might be possible as we had a late flight and the staff were able to accommodate this. I discovered from speaking to other guests that many had been coming for years - one lady for 28 years and I could see why. I will certainly be returning at the earliest opportunity.

Absolutely nothing.

Everything was just fantastic. The pool, the food, the staff, the cove. Rooms were cleaned everyday and it was just an amazing trip, we will definitely be returning!

We really can’t fault anything but maybe the possibility of adding more shuttles to town later in the evening would be good as they only have ones at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm and it is about a 20 minute walk into pageura which is nice to go into for dinner.

The location is this hotels star attraction - just a superb spot. Cannot beat the views it’s something I’d never tore of. The hotel bedrooms are comfortable and very, very clean. I disagree with some reviews that they look tired, I think they had been recently renovated actually. They are traditional, quaint and elegant.

Whist breakfast was good, the food in restaurant at night was just average and we felt rushed by the staff who were keen to set up for breakfast. I’d recommend walking up the hill to alternative restaurants.

Such a beautiful hotel in an idyllic spot. The building and decor is charming, the staff were all absolutely fantastic and we were made so welcome. We were there to celebrate my birthday and the surprise little touches were all so wonderful and really appreciated. We had a seaview, 4 poster room with an incredible, huge balcony. We absolutely loved sitting there, taking in the view and listening to the sound of waves and birds tweeting. We found drinking and dining at bar and restaurant great too. Again, fabulous views from the terraces and the restaurant. We highly recommend and will be returning.
