The hotel was in a superb location, right on the river. Excellent breakfast as well, which was included. I would definitely stay here again. It was spotlessly clean, and all the staff we came into contact with, were very pleasant, polite and courteous.

It was slightly annoying, as when I booked this hotel, I stated Twin rooms, as we are 2 Ladies. I even emailed the hotel as well, but when we got to the room, it was a king size bed, and sadly the hotel was fully booked, so we couldn’t be moved. The receptionist was very apologetic, and as a goodwill gesture, they didn’t charge the EUR 25 for my dog. We managed for 1 night. Also the signage for the hotel, when travelling by car, is non existent. When we eventually found it, there was a sign which said hotel and parking, but no hotel name? The hotel name is on the front of the hotel, but it is in a pedestrianised location?

Beautifully modernised, large bedroom with good air con. Garage underneath was handy as was the pool and terrace as it was very warm for early May.

Noisy building works at rear of hotel affected our room and the pool area, working from 8am till roughly 3.30 each day. I suppose it was not the hotels fault but they could have at least notified guests in advance allowing us the option to rebook elsewhere considering the hotel rate was quite high. We also felt that the express breakfast was too expense considering that you could get better for half the price at a lovely cafe 50m down the hill.

We were 3 friends staying in one room of this lovely boutique hotel on our last night in the Basque Country. We enjoyed getting a taste of the seaside towns near Bilbao, and this hotel is perfectly located for exploring the area of Portugalete and Getxo and beyond. While our corner room looked over the street at the back of the hotel, we did have a very nice view of the Puente Colgante from part of our terrace, which we enjoyed. The room was very nicely decorated and the bathroom was well appointed. Everything was very clean. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but the restaurant/dining area looked nice. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

While the main beds were very comfortable, the fold out bed one of us had to sleep on was quite uncomfortable. It was made up without a blanket, although there was a spare in the closet. While it is hard to find a boutique hotel that offers a triple room, it should not be at the expense of being able to get a decent nights sleep.

My room was single room with a view. I had a very inspiring view and enjoyed the view with differents day lights, my window was looking on thw river and building were amazing Location was good cuz the transportation to pass to the next side of the river was close and infront of the hotel

only that on my last day of the trip, the Hotel was fully booked and I didn't have chance to stay and I was forced to go to another hotel which I didn't liked

The minute that I entered reception I was impressed with the attention that I received from the staff. The lobby was charming. I already could see the Vizcaya Bridge, which was my UNESCO site goal. I was checked in and moved my car into the parking garage. My room and the view of the river and bridge were stunning. It's a modernized older building that is beautiful. The facilities in the rooms are brand new. The location was perfect especially right next to the gondola to get over to the other side of the river.

Breakfast was delicious and varied. The staff were attentive and ensured we were looked after well. Our room was as comfortable but we regret not asking for a view of the bridge. We were in a room at the back and the outlook was over the road / recycling bins so we kept the curtains shut. Hotel is well placed for local restaurants and cafes and is ideal for the bridge, too. We were traveling on the ferry the next morning which was a 5 min drive away. I’d recommend the hotel and would stay again.

Excellent buffet breakfast, plenty of variety. Hotel nicely positioned by the fascinating Puente Colgante. Room most comfortable with good views over river and bridge. Excellent bathroom, hotel most clean and tidy throughout. Metro station 15 minutes walk away, RENFE local train stop 5 minutes away, both offering easy access to Bilbao proper.

The location was perfect for travel to the factory I was visiting. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, although the lighting above the desk could have been brighter. The view was ok, I was at the side of the hotel so overlooking the main road, but the view beyond that was good. The last time I stayed at the Pedra Bela I had a room, with balcony, at the rear of the hotel, that view was great.

The snacks menu could have been a little better, but the restaurant in front of the hotel is excellent. The lighting above the desk could have been a little brighter, it was quite difficult to work at the desk after dark.

The hotel is located next to the river in a fantastic location. We were lucky to have a corner room which looked over the river from two aspects. The room was huge with lovely decorations and a fabulous en-suite. The hotel was exceptionally clean throughout. We would stay here again with any hesitation.

Breakfast could have been a little better managed. One person on duty serving all guests. The choice for breakfast could have been better.

The hotel is in a great location across from the hanging bridge, but unfortunately not very close to public transit. We had a view with our room which was wonderful, and the hotel itself was really beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the buffet had good choices.

The A/C did not work very well and it got rather hot, the rooms are a bit on the smaller side.
