Hotel Pago del Olivo

Good quality hotel. I’m grateful for the person working the front desk who tried to teach me to let me know that there would be nobody there after a certain time. I am a hiker and arrived late around 10:45 pm. In the morning the person who served me a good breakfast was also equally patient and made sure I had everything.

Minor detail. The property is located near a busy road and you need to go under the road through a tunnel to get to it if you coming from the town where the local action is. But it’s worth the walk and nearby nevertheless. The place sits up high and there is no noise factor despite the busy road. It is a calm and tranquil place.

Helpful receptionist, and secure parking in the hotel grounds. We were able to park under shade, although some parking spots were not shaded.

The town is within easy walking distance, and we settled down in a cafe for a quiet drink, but there were 3 dogs with their owners at the cafe, and they barked every time another dog walked past, which was very often. There are, of course, other cafes.

Clean, well organised, pleasant staff; basic, decent, cheap breakfast; perfect location in relation to the motorway but no noise disturbance; good parking.

No restaurant. Getting to ‘Simancas centre’ involves a short but not very pleasant walk. On Monday almost everything closed.

Well presented and clean room. Comfortable beds and a good night's sleep. No noise from motorway. Contental breakfast only, at 3 euros, good value. No evening meal. Hotel has secure car parking.l. Easy to find and only 2 minutes from motorway. A convenient stoping place traveling north/south through Spain from ferry.

No much not to like with hotel. Only negative, and not the hotel's fault. Could not find anywhere for a evening meal in the village bars/restaurants as the hotel doesn't do evening meals. Managed to get a few bits from the local supermarket.

All the staff, both reception and breakfast, were very helpful and polite; the receptionist even gave us a map to find the nearby bars and restaurants (the hotel only provides breakfast, but that was not a problem for us as we prefer to eat out. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the bathroom equally so. The position very close to the motorway made this a perfect overnight stop for us on our long journey.

The hotel is well situated next to the motorway for a night stop without wasting time. It's five minutes from a pretty town with a lot of restaurants. The staff was really welcoming and the breakfast--toast, coffee and orange juice--cost 3 Euros. A pretty good price!

OVERALL SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT

THE HEATING CONTROL WAS SET FOR COLD WEATHER IN SPRINGTIME.DUE TO THE UNSEASONABLY HOT WEATHER THE ROOM WAS A BIT HOT AND COULD NOT BE COOLED DOWN. I UNDERSTAND THAT LATER IN MAY THE SYTEM WILL RESET TO ALLOW THE AIRCONDITIONING TO COOL THE ROOM.

Just off the motorway, within walking distance of the village. clean, modern and comfortable.

The only breakfast option was a simple breakfast at a very reasonable price, but not substantial enough for us. Tip: breakfast at IKEA in Valladolid! Only available after 9.30 though.

The room was a good size with fridge, tv, and most importantly, air conditioning. Adequate continental breakfast served in the bar with a choice of drinks, and fresh orange juice. The village of Simancas, only a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel is beautiful, and well worth a visit.

Would have preferred additional pillows.

This hotel is located just next to a highway few kilometers outside of Valladolid which is perfect if you want to make a stop. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was served to the table and was good. There is a bar so you can buy a beer in the evening. A quick walk from the hotel you are in the middle of the town where you can find a few places to eat or have a drink. It was 38 degrees when we were there and the AC was working really well.
