My husband and I stayed at de Cruz de Tejeda mid January'24 and really enjoyed our one-night stay here. Hotel is located in a lovely spot, the views on a sunset are beautiful here. There is plenty parking space just outside the hotel. Hotel facilitated my request for double bed (instead of two singles). The room was very spacious with a nice view. You need to pre-book the SPA if you want to use it (extra 35 eur pp and limited to 1.5hr which I think was enough time, it is not a big spa). The SPA facilities were ok (don't expect luxurious SPA) and a little bit cold, it has tiny sauna and steam room but worth the visit for the view from outdoor pool and a hot tub outside. We didn't have breakfast here so no comment.

The rooms are a little bit outdated. Food at the dinner was average.

This hotel is in an amazing location, particularly if you want to go hiking in the mountains. There is even a tourist office booth outside the hotel giving out free maps and information for hikers. There is a spectacular view from the terrace of the cafeteria. The rooms are nice and well equipped with balconies with great views across the mountains. The staff were very helpful. I arrived by bus from Las Palmas earlier than check in time, but they did their best to speed up my getting checked in. There is a more casual cafeteria and a more formal restaurant, both of which serve decent food. Breakfast is buffet style with a good choice of food and drink options. There is also a nice small spa attached to the hotel, which is definitely worth a visit, especially on a clear day with a good view.

There was some damage to the balcony door in my room, which was a bit concerning, but when I informed reception they sent someone to repair it quickly. The spa was nice, but quite expensive. It would be good to get more of a reduction in cost as a guest of the hotel, if not free access. The hotel restaurant food was good, but quite expensive. Unfortunately there aren't many other eating options in the area, so there isn't a lot of other choice unless you have a car to drive somewhere else. It is possible to get here by bus from Las Palmas (via San Mateo), but the bus from San Mateo to Cruz de Tejeda only runs about 4 times a day so you have limited choice about leaving/arrival time.

Absolutely loved the location. The views from the balcony are some of the best I have ever seen. The hanging pool and spa is a once in a lifetime experience. Staff is lovely and the food was great, especially the breakfast, even though it is quite expensive. Rooms were big and comfortable. The hikes you can do from the hotel are stunning.

Room interior was a little outdated although this didn't really bother us. The spa is too expensive in my opinion, but would still recommend a visit if you are there.

The view is just marvellous - we've spent most of the time just sitting on the terrace. since it was my birthday the staff sent me a bottle of cava which was a very kind surprise! The staff in general was absolutely attentive and friendly also in the restaurant. Absoultely fair prices for dinner and house wine. Again stunning views from the restaurant. And very good and local food also for breakfast. People were complaining about the limited choice of food. But I prefer quality over quantity and this is what you find there. Yes, you have to reserve a spot for the spa but since it's small I preferred this bc if you don't organise this it would be too full and the atmosphere can't be enjoyed fully if it would be crowded. We knew that we'd have to pay for the spa but it would be nicer I think to inform guests on the website that the infinity pool is not inlcuded.

the location was perfect the views phenomenal waitress Patricia was perfect the spa was absolutely divine me and my a girlfriend enjoyed the stay

we had a romantic package included in the price which was a bit expensive for what we received fake rose petals on the bed fake candles which I can understand a bottle of cava and a box of chocolate for what we paid extra it is not worth it in my opinion food was basic nothing special rooms are bit dated but the bathroom is nice there are no kettle to make a cup of coffee in the bedroom

Overall the hotel was wonderful and is an experience and destination in itself.

The property was great, only minor note would be that the bathroom’s chrome towel bars screw covers kept popping off, I’d make sure maintenance held it in place with silicone or a minor adhesive just because details can impact the brand and feel of the hotel. Also there were some spiderwebs on the balcony that could be attended too and the Spa’s temperatures were a little low. and would benefit from a few degrees increase. Overall solid stay with minor details in need of attention.

Superb location for hiking, views from the bedroom were stunning. Excellent breakfast and evening meals.

No tea/coffee making facilities in the room and the air-conditioning didn't really work even though the control panel looked new, there was no change to the room temperature when it was adjusted?

The best thing is for sure location and the views, which are totally amazing. The spa is also nice, and the staff in the hotel and in the spa zone is helpful. Overall, the hotel is comfortable and beautiful, with a great interior, and even greater exterior :-) which is worth the trip on its own. The breakfast was also perfect. The dinner was a bit less impressive than it could have been, but also very nice; and the sunset was exceptional :-).

The views from all rooms and the spa are breathtaking. The rooms are basic but very clean and have a balcony with chairs and a coffee table. The spa is small but very well equipped (with a steam room and a sauna, circular showers, hydromassage and whirlpool, sun deck, swimming pool). The outdoor pool is a marvel for photo shootings. I found the restaurant a bit uncosy. However the cafeteria on the upper deck offers a yummy menu (their Angus beef burger with fresh garden veggies and grilled smoked cheese is to die for) and friendly service combined with splendid mountain views.

Update the design of the restaurant and suggest the reception staff to be as friendly as the spa receptionist.

The hotel has a superb location on top of the pass of Cruz de Tejeda at 1400 meters above sea level. The view from the common areas and the room is probably the best view of all Gran Canaria. From our room we could enjoy a magnificent sunset over the mountains. The restaurant is also very good.

The swimming pool and SPA are not included in the room price, a hotel of such a category should not ask for an extra but should give free access to its clients.
