We had a stay in dec 2023 . The resort is beautiful. The rooms were large, clean, well setup. We were welcomed with a traditional band of flute and drum.We had the room facing the beach and pool. The hospitality by staffs were good. Had their buffet dinner and breakfast. A wide spread of buffet , totally value for money

They had a cultural show during my stay there , however it was held at 8pm, I think the timing should be adjusted as that is preferably time for dinner as well. There was also a brief dance show at the pool side, I manged to see from my balcony, I wish I was informed on the show so I could have a better view Even so I loved my stay

beautifully sculpted area with two pools and beach access. From the main area and downstairs restaurant you also have a great view on the Bentota Ganga. The staff is very friendly and helpful

The pricing is a bit too high (this is Sri Lanka and not Singapore for instance where you can book the Marina Bay sands for almost the same). Also they allow the guest to occupy the outside beds with towels for the rest of the day without seeing anybody using them accordingly. You would expect this at a cheap inclusive place. Just instruct people to take the towels with them otherwise remove them.

We stayed at Cinnamon Bentota Beach Hotel from August 12th to 14th, and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel is situated in a stunning location that offers breathtaking views and a tranquil environment—truly a perfect getaway. From the moment we arrived, the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Special mention goes to Sulochana and Deshan, who made our stay even more memorable. Traveling with two kids aged 3 and 9, we had specific needs, and both Sulochana and Deshan went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Their attention to detail and genuine care were remarkable, and we were consistently impressed by their brilliant customer service. The facilities at the hotel are modern and well-maintained, offering all the comforts you could wish for. The rooms were spotless, with everything clean and tidy, making our stay very comfortable. And then there’s the food—simply amazing! Every meal was a delight, with a wide variety of dishes that were all excellently prepared and presented. The dining experience alone is worth the visit. Overall, Cinnamon Bentota Beach Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing stay in a beautiful setting. We can't wait to return!

We recently stayed at the hotel for seven nights, and I must say, it was a delightful experience for my family, including our two small children, aged 3 and 5. Although we encountered two days of rain during our stay, the incredible hospitality and thoughtful efforts of the staff truly made up for it. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, offering activities to keep the kids entertained even on rainy days. Every interaction was warm and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The hotel facilities were exceptional—clean, well-maintained, and family-friendly, with plenty of options for both relaxation and entertainment. From the child-friendly pool to the spacious and cozy rooms, everything was designed with families in mind. We also appreciated the variety of dining options, which catered to both adults and picky little eaters alike. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a memorable family getaway. Rain or shine, this place will ensure you have a wonderful stay!

Breakfast - amazing varieties, extremly friendly staffs, all the staffs were good, we dealt with Janaka, Pramoksha and one more girl who found and returned our lost cash, unfortunately didnt notice her name. Food was fresh and tasty, Capacinno can be improved as it didnt taste that good. We did try dinner couple of times, we really enjoyed the varieties and taste. I would recommend them to include live kitchen for Srilankan fish fry/ grill as sea food is very famous there. Reception - Sansala was very helpful and patiently listened to requirement, allotted the best available room for our stay. Highly appreciate her service. Very clean facility, easy access to beautiful beach, nice swimming pools and clean Sauna and Steam.

I would recommend them to include live kitchen for Srilankan fish fry/ grill as sea food is very famous there. It would have been nicer if the Sauna and Steam are included in the room tariff itself.

Cinnamon Bentota doesn't feel like a hotel. It feels like you're being hosted by a dear friend, or by close family. Everything little detail is thoughtful, inviting and makes you feel special and loved. You're immediately greeted with the unmistakable 'living in harmony with nature' architecture of Geoffrey Bawa and the beautifully designed spaces that you'll find all over the property, including a gorgeous natural rock pool, an quaint bar, or the Bloom Room which is perfect for an intimate high-tea or a quiet, private celebration. The lavish spread at breakfast, lunch and dinner reminds you of family get-togethers, and features all the classic Sri Lanka delicacies - hoppers, string hopper, curries, endless varieties of sambal; as well as european dishes. The chef on request even whipped up the traditional 'Lamprais' for us even though it isn't on the menu. But what lies at the heart of Cinnamon is their excellent staff. Be it the ever smiling Sulochana who heads Guest Relations, Priyantha who looks after F&B or Janaka, Kavidu, Dimuthu at the speciality sea-food restaurant. They are what makes Cinnamon Bentota what it is.

There is absolutely nothing to complain about, or to find even the tiniest fault with. I would change nothing about Cinnamon Bentota.

This is one of the best Hotel experiences we have ever had. First the building itself; it is a beautiful historic gem built by Geoffrey Bawa on a lonely beach. Sanduni did a superb job showing us the architectural tour. Second the restaurant is incredible; the main restaurant is a buffet and it’s the best buffet we have ever had. The choices are neverending and super tasty. And the service is absolutely perfect; Priyantha De Silva and his team did an amazing job. We would also like to mention Lassan who did a wonderful job. Third the rooms; we were on our honeymoon on this trip, and because of that we got an amazing upgrade for our room. Sulochana did a super job. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon even more incredible. The rooms are large, have a very nice interior and an incredible view on the ocean. Fourth, the sport activities that the hotel offers. There are so many, including a state of the art Gym with a superb instructor named Pradeep and even free Yoga classes on the river. Fifth, absolutely everyone in the service is keen to fulfill all wishes and to make the stay unforgettable. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay at your beautiful hotel. We will come again.

I was hesitant at first because this was my first time trying a 'local' hotel brand. But I can now say without hesitation that this hotel is amazing - it far exceeded my expectations. I arrived at 7am with my kids exhausted and sleeping. No problem - the staff were able to check me in early. Clean, cozy, comfortable rooms. No fuss at all. So immediately, my impressions were positive. The beach is amazing - powdery sand, clean and right in front of the property. Quite simply a world class beach. The pool is amazing - at just the right temperature. And with separate kids pool. Kids facilities- amazing. They have a fully equipped indoor play area, with several staff in attendance. Breakfast was good - full range of local and western foods available. Yes, all of it was amazing. And I don't often give compliments when they aren't deserved. But above all, it is the staff that really blew me away. Kind. Friendly. Warm. Professional. They really put us and the kids at ease. The service they provided really put 5 star international hotel brands to shame. I'll remember this hotel for a long time, and wouldn't hesitate coming again.

Nothing, to be frank. This was an amazing stay. They exceeded my expectations.

The care and concern showed by the staff was exceptional. They were available in all means to assist, greet, and were very professional. I would very specially like to comment on Mr.Janaka, Mr.Deshan , Miss.Nirusha and Miss .Udayangani (food and beverage area ) who were always so welcoming whenever we came to have our meals. They went out of their way to prepare something for our son which was out of the menu. They were always a step ahead with our needs and extended a helping hand without being asked when it was required. All of the staff in the dining area were fantastic. I wish them all the best. As always, Cinnamon Hotels offer delicious food and never fails to impress. The buffet spread for breakfast and dinner had many choices. We enjoyed most of the different cuisines and the Sri lankan dishes were the best. House keeping was readily available any time to look into our needs as we were with our Son. What I liked best that as this hotel was a resort, they would check if we needed amenities at the end of the day such as change of towels even if the room.was serviced prior. More than anything it was the SMILE and the WELCOMING gesture all the staff showed us where ever they met us. It is true that the people more than the amenities make the stay worth while. Will definitely be coming back again. Indeed it was a fabulous stay.

This hotel is exceptional and so are the satff and location. It has the most stunning outlooks to beach and huge wide river that you can see some of the world passing by across a bridge to one side. This is one of the most luxuriest five star hotels we have stayed in. The beach is stunning not like a lot of the rest of the coast line we saw on our travels so we were very happy when we made it down to the beach at this hotel. Calmer seas and cleaner beach than we had seen anywhere else. We only stayed here for one night and found it good value for how amazing it is. We wish were there for longer. Amzing spread of food in the buffets. If you compain about this hotel, you are clearly one very difficult person to satisfy!
