The Residence

I came here with my sister for a one night stay on Christmas. As we entered the receptionist welcomed us kindly and we got everything done with ease. As we entered our room I must say I was really surprised with the overall presentation of the Twin Bedroom. It was cozy and felt spacious for a small room! The room facilities were great and the cooler works! I didn’t even want to get off my bed haha 🥲💖 We had breakfast from the hotel and it was just too good! We were presented with an array of fresh fruits, an omelet and toast. It was just the perfect way to start the day. I'll be surely booking this hotel again when I come to Colombo for a long stay! 💖

It would be the bathroom. The shower drain was unfortunately clogged and my sister had to clean it 🙁

The residence is located in the heart of the city of Colombo. Everything was really nearby and getting transport was really easy. I would really like to mention their rooftop dining area for breakfast and the breakfast itself both were really really really really good and worth the money. And if you like masala tea I highly recommend you to try it. Really good flavour.

Not much to complain about, other than the fact the room was a little bit small and cramped up. But it is not a big issue to worry if you are going to roam around the city and just need a base to sleep at night.

I recently stayed at The Residence for three days and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is cozy and welcoming, making it feel like a home away from home. A special shoutout to Imran at reception for his outstanding service and helpfulness throughout my stay. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, adding to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for a comfortable and hassle-free stay!

My family and I stayed for 1 week, the staff were absolutely amazing (Mohammad especially, such a wonderfully helpful person) The 2 doormen (I forgot their names) were both very friendly and always helped if we needed anything too. All a huge credit to this hotel! Clean place and with perfectly working facilities and showers with great shower pressure too (which is refreshing and needed in the Sri Lankan heat!) I would definitely recommend this place if you need somewhere reasonably priced close to central Colombo. They provided us with plenty of water and candles to cope during the national power outages that Sri Lanka was experiencing during our visit and always checked that we were comfortable during the blackouts.

They didn't have a working power generator during the national power cuts which isn't entirely their fault due to diesel shortages in Sri Lanka at the time of my visit. Also there was some contruction going on downstairs which was noisy at times but the staff spoke to the workers and they stopped after we complained so that we could sleep.

The best thing of this place is the location, beachside is walking distance, malls aren’t far however my purpose to go there for embassy services so this hotel is one of the best choice. I didn’t have much time to roam around but all good with my stay.

My room is behind of reception desk I’m not sure if because of I’m a lady who’s travel alone that’s why they allocated my room near staff but little disturb by people at the reception,

The room was clean, comfortable, and very good value for money. Imran and all the staff did everything to make my stay pleasant and I wanted for nothing. The location was good (for me and my work) and just opposite Barefoot.

I would have liked to to be able to open the curtain, just to know the weather outside before going out, but that was difficult.

The host were very helpful. Mr Imran wilingly prepared our breakfast as we have to left early for Sigiriya. The location is good, just a walking distance to nearby halal restaurant. The room with modern design, valued for money.

Excellent experience with the Residence! Especially Mr. Imran, he is so kind and support us a lot. people are so kind. room is clean and nice view on bocny. We booked a family room, and they upgrade for us. Thank you, Imran, Thank you all guys. breakfast is good too. Location is good, close to beach, and co convinience to exhibiting center. we will comeback next time.

the location and the staff. Mr Imran and Mr Imdad were perfect hosts! that made all the difference. room was good suze and there is a terrace/ dining area to enjoy a drink if ine wushes to. very close to so many amenities and walking distance from restaurants and a shopping mall.

the toilets are small, especially for someone tall. i had a bit if a struggle with the toilet.

The stay was amazing! The place is very comfortable and clean. Very well located and the rooms are very silent despite the busy road. The staff is very gentle and helpful, they are always available and warm. I recognize specially Imra and Naufer, who were every day making the most of my stay. Fully recommended
