Everything about our two day stay at the Oreeka was beyond our expectation. From the complimentary airport shuttle to the hospitable welcome early in the morning. The customer service was impeccable and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate any need we had. The staff was caring and kind. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable, shower was good with hot water. The grounds of the hotel were serene and beautiful. The chef did a wonderful job with meals that were extremely affordable. Being from the USA, it would only be possible to get this type of customer service from a high end resort or hotel. We were so happy with our stay we booked a night for the end of trip. I would highly recommend the Orerka Hotel for your stay. Thank you to the beautiful staff for making the beginning of our stay in Sri Lanka perfect. Btw- the airport shuttle is a silver van with the hotel's name on the side.

I stayed one night at Oreeka before my early departure from Sri Lanka after backpacking around the country for almost 3 weeks. They checked me in early without any extra fee which I trully appreciated. The room was beautiful bungalow facing a huge pool, really clean, modern, probably best accomodation I had in Sri Lanka for a really good price. You also get 1 taxi ride to/from airport included in the price, taxi was waiting for me on time at 4.30am and the ride was just about 15mins to the airport. There is a restaurant with good prices for Sri lanka hotels and the food was really delicious, I recommend Prawns curry. You can also pay by card which is very convenient at the end of your stay when you might not have cash anymore. A big plus for me is the staff and the security of the place. I had an unpleasant experience with one of the customers who got very drunk and started bothering me and even forcing himself to my room, when I mentioned it to the staff and shared my concerns I could see, they trully cared; later a lady working there came to me sharing her contacts, explaining how my safety is guaranteed in the place and trust me - for a girl travelling solo this is very important to be taken seriously and to feel safe. Thank you for the extra support!

I did not had hot water but this is pretty common in Sri Lanka and did not really bother me.

Excellent customer service. My second time was in Oreeka, and we were quickly patronised. Very good service provided by the staff.

Very good place, but this is to improve 1. Please get rid of dogs! They sleep on the chairs outside the room. 2. Add a few more fruits to the breakfast as SL is a country with so many tropical fruits. ( You can increase the price of the breakfast ). 03. At breakfast, someone should give a choice for egg preparation instead of bringing an omelettes directly.

Great location near the airport and airport transfer included in the cost. We stayed here for 2 nights with 2 young children as we wanted to refresh before heading to the south coast. The pool was lovely (we had it all to ourselves) and the staff were very friendly and attentive, nothing was too much bother. The room was really spacious with it’s own terrace and we had 2 bathrooms which appeared to have been recently renovated. Beds were very comfortable and clean. The aircon was really great and there was a generator which kicked in really quickly when the planned power cuts occurred. The food choice was huge and tasted lovely.

The only downside was that the property is a little tired, which we totally understand after covid and the economical crisis in Sri-Lanka. Our room was a little damp (it just needed airing as probably hadn’t been used for a while) and the windows in the bathrooms weren’t sealed very well so we’re numerous bugs getting in. The poolside area could do with a little love (broken tiles etc) but I think this is a work in progress. I would still recommend a short stay here.

Beautiful large, well kept garden with lovely pool. Wonderful availability of no-spice food, staff who listened and answered any enquiries, lovely duplex cabins with ensuites and pool and garden views.

Could have received shuttle pick up information earlier as couldn't access emails while travelling.

Ample space, calm and quiet surroundings. Small hotel with less crowd, ideal for relaxation. Big rooms with big washrooms. Nice pool. Children play area in the garden. Very friendly and attentive staff. Minor lapses in room facilities, maintenance and food options but can't expect perfection in every area considering the very low price tag. They provided additional food items for child when requested during meal time itself. Overall very nice experience. 9/10.

It's less than $25 USD for a free lift from the airport and breakfast. Toast basket jam eggs fruit plate or smoothie and coffee. Hot shower, which isn't a given in Sri Lanka. Close to the airport and friendly helpful staff. Great for a stop to or from the airport room was large and clean and cold AC

Mattress was quite firm will suit others more maybe.

This is very good for airport transit. The staff especially Dilan and Pradeepa were very friendly and helpful. They looked after us like family members and did not let us be disadvantaged by taxi drivers or any other person. Dilan came to the airport on time and was very helpful. The food is really delicious and fresh. The garden is calm, quiet and beautiful. Everybody who works there is kind and helpful. The charges are fair and worth to the service they gave us. I hope to go there again when we visit Sri Lanka again. We recommend this place to other families.

It is better if the cleanliness was a bit better. It seems the room we were in was not been used for some time. Therefore, there were some cobwebs inside the cupboards. Also, there were dead cockroaches in the bathroom. Also, it is better if there were bath mats in the bathroom because the bathroom and the entrance to the bathroom can be slippery when the floor is wet after a bath.

Very lovely staff nice tropical garden excellent food we booked full board and stayed three weeks. Nice clean warm big pool. Comfy sunbirds beach towels cheap taxi or til til for trips outside. Mini market for snacks at the entrance of hotel go ahead and book minimum 2 nights it is so good and airport transfers rxcellrnt

We loved everything it is so good to relax coffe tea water always available for free. Ideal also for long term stay. 15 minutes with til yuk to the beach main road right hand side lovely tropical atmosphere to discover the real live of the country. Hotel has generator in case of lack electricity

Breakfast was so good. The room is huge with a huge bathroom. Large size pool with kiddies pool. The lady owner taking care of the guest extremely well. we arrived early in the morning and pickup vehicle from the hotel was there on time even though our flight got late. Huge garden if u have kids to play.

its not very close to the airport but it does not matter because the hotel was providing the transportation for free from/to the airport. Hot water was not working properly.
