Location was 5 min walk from Mirissa beach & main street with restaurants/ shops. Room was very large & had balcony. We really enjoyed having a balcony as you could see so many animals passing by the hotel: squirls, monkeys, peackok, beautiful birds. Bed was very comfortable, we slept very well. Bathroom looks newly renovated. Room has everything you need: clothes rack, hairdryer, fridge, coffee/ tea, water, toiletries, towels. They also provide swimming pool towels upon request (in case they forget to leave you some in the room). In the room we had a very good aircon and a ceiling fan. Airco looked new and was very well positioned so it does now blow in your face. Staff is very kind. They were doing very good job on cleaning the rooms, you just had to leave your key at the reception so they can clean. We really enjoyed the swimming pool, it is very big, cleaned regularly, had even a bubble system (like jacuzzi). There were plenty of seats around the pool (some in direct sun, some in the shadow under the trees). Around the swimming pool area there were pretty flowers, plants and daily you could see 4 husky puppies with their mom and dad. The puppies were very cute running around and playing in the garden. The owner also organized for us whale whatching tour. Although we did not see whales (just spinning dolphins), we were happy with the service provided (transport to boat and food on board was very good). We used their laundry service and we were happy with the wash (although a bit pricey). They have a nice restaurant menu (with good prices). We only tried their drinks (loved the banana lassi).

There are some improvements they could do: find better ways to keep breakfast warm (food was cold), increase variety of breakfast (we stayed 8nights and had same thing every day: pancake, egg, coconut cake and fruits). At check in it should be communicated that if you need cleaning you should leave the key at the reception. On room cleaning some consistency would be needed: initially we had in the room 2 big towels, 2 small towels, 1 floor towel, during our stay cleaning team took the small towels (both) and once they took the floor towel (which I requested to bring back as the floor becomes very wet in the bathroom). When we asked for swimmingpool towels they told us there should have been in the room and were suprised we did not have any.

Great location, only a few hundred metres to town and same to the beach. Room was big, spacious and clean with a nice balcony. There was a table and chairs inside and outside, a wardrobe in the room and a drying rack for your clothes and bathers. Bathroom was nice and clean but shower not separated so everything got a little bit wet, not a major problem though. Nice pool to relax in as well.

Not many pool beds and a few of them broken. The breakfast was OK but we went in with pretty low expectations from the other reviews. The breakfast is definitely not amazing, and only a little bit of variety, but they are certainly trying.

Large light bedroom with comfortable bed and excellent warm water shower and toiletries and towels . Fridge and kettle with tea and coffee. Very pleasant private balcony. Good swimming pool that you can swim lengths in. Good buffet breakfast and the nice man with the glasses ( sorry we dont know his name) very kindly offered to make us a packed breakfast on the morning we left at 04.30. Thank you.

The group of guests who decided to have a very drunken and loutish pool party after midnight on the night we arrived. The hotel owner dealt with them swiftly and thankfully they left the next day.

Restaurant served breakfast (included in room price) and lunch/dinner prices reasonable for delicious choices, served we by happy helpful, guys. Laundry service available. Easy walking distance from beach and shops/bars/restaurants, spoilt for choice. Organised a whale watching tour for us at good price. Highly recommend Wavelength, good work guys !

Would have loved to stay longer but plans already made for next stop.

Our stay at the property was very nice! It is within walking distance of the fantastic beach in Mirissa, only 3 minutes away. The rooms are big enough. The bathroom has a separate shower area and the water jet was strong (up until now rather rare in Sri Lanka). The rooms are close to the pool and the pool is great for swimming and relaxing. The breakfast was really delicious. The staff and especially the cockroach were super accommodating, friendly, open-minded, and always available and helpful.

I spend 3 nights at Wavelenght in November 2023. It is what is advertised, don' t expect luxury, but it is a nice, clean, basic, cosy hotel with a nice pool right next to it. It is just 5 minutes walk from the beach which is beautiful with couple of beach bars with sunbeds for free. There is couple of restaurants nearby and so is a supermarket. The highlight is the restaurant staff, such nice people, very helpful and always smily and welcoming.

While the rooms look pretty, some things are not working properly, e.g. the door to bathroom did not close. The food in restaurant is rather average, but it fullfils the need and is very cheap. I think they are building more rooms so it got a bit noisy but nothing too bad.

Location and value was great. Clean pool (not normally in Sri Lanka whit clean pool by our experience). Great outdoors. Service by manager great but the staff in breakfast/dining was slow and not motivated/unsecure about there job. Breakfast buffet was okey for value. 3 minutes walk to beach. This is positive because it's music to 6 in the morning in the weekends. So quiet rooms😀

Staff needs to be trained and motivated!

The prices are very fair and affordable, the rooms and the pool are genuinely very clean, the area is quiet and yet so close to the beach and main street (perfect location of the hotel!), and the staff is truly very friendly and helpful! It is the perfect place to stay in if you’re in Mirissa!

While the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was truly amazing, the more “Continental/Western” choices could have a few more meat options (bacon or sausages). But that’s just a minor detail, it really didn’t bother me and my partner at all.

Friendly welcome and simple check in procedure with Anoma. All daily interactions were more on a more friendly basis than a professional one, and it gave a nice almost ‘homely’ feel to staying there. I had a room on 3rd floor. Lovely large bedroom with a comfortable bed. Room even had a minibar. Great shower with different options and plenty of hot water. Nice sized balcony Good breakfast was offered. Just a short walk to the beach.

More of a suggestion not a complaint but attention to detail from housekeeping is needed - like cleaning the mirrors and the patio door but once I mentioned it, it was done straight away. There was a broken glass shelf in the bathroom with the broken piece still there on it and the door lock has obviously been broken before. The tables in the restaurant need a deep scrubbing! It wouldn’t put me off staying there again though
