Great location of the hotel within walking distance of Kalmar Castle and the city center. Quiet location. Possibility of parking directly in the hotel area. However, advance reservations are required. Price 125 kr/day. Staff very nice and helpful. Excellent communication with the staff via emails before our arrival. Free water and coffee available all day. The room is older, but there is everything you need. Super comfortable bed.

It's a shame there isn't a smaller fridge in the room. The breakfast was perfectly adequate, but rather average.

The breakfast included in the stay was extremely nice, the staff was very understanding and explained anything that may seem confusing, and even though i personally had one of the cheaper rooms it was still very clean and comfortable. I'd also like to note the nearby historical and cultural sites for anyone interested. The hotel is, as the name implies, right next to Kalmar castle, which is absolutely a must see if you're nearby. The hotel is also not too far away from Kalmar läns museum, which offers an equally impressive historical journey.

The checkout time was a bit early, although this is made up for by having a very late check in time. The reception was not always manned so the wait there was a bit longer than you'd normally expect as well.

Checkin was easy; location was very convenient to the castle. There is parking on the street but limited to three hours; the hotel offers all day parking for a reasonable fee. Breakfast was delicious; coffee machine provided many choices. Evening salad/soup was complimentary in the main building and was delicious in a cozy setting. Coffee/tea was always available in the reception area. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Stayed at the annex, basic room but has everything you need. Comfortable bed, good shower and great breakfast! Location is close to the station and old town, perfect! Hotel and surroundings are very cute. Only stayed one night but would definitely come back.

No power outlets next to bed. Floor could be a tidy bit cleaner.

Walking distance to train and bus central, old town, Kalmar Castle etc., but on a quiet picturesque side street, and with a beautiful court yard. The room and bathroom was nice and big.

Some of the breakfast items seemed to be old and stale. The hot items were lukewarm. The bread was good and there were enough variety overall, though.

The hotel has its room distributed over several properties, with the main reception, common area, restaurants etc in the middle of it. The hotel even provided complimentary soup and salad for dinner. Breakfast was also very nice. Old town and the main bus station and train station are 10-15 minute by foot, the castle is basically next door. So pretty centrally located as well.

A special place with its own atmosphere. Free snackmeal weekdays. Nice bar on the first floor overlooking the castle and museum - they changed furniture so the comfu sofas are gone and replaced with standard chairs. But the view and atmosphere are great. The Annex is simple but with all facilities - good value for money.

Great hotel very close to the Kalmar castle. We stayed in the budget accomodation across the street. The room was big and had everything we needed. Nice view on the backgarden. Breakfast was great with plenty of options to choose from. We were happily surprised that in the evening we could dine for free. Also very kind and helpfull staff. We would definately stay here again!

Family room was simple but comby bed and met our expectations. Great location and very nice common area where we could sit and have tea and biscuits for free.

It was a bit stressful that we had to pre-select a time for the breakfast, with two small kids you dont want the stress of hurrying to the breakfast in the morning when you're on vacation. The TV in the room was very small.

The room was a good size, comfortable bed, and very close to Kalmar Castle. The Kalmar Domkyrka was within walking distance as well. Highly recommend!
