This is a historic hotel right in the middle of old Kalmar. There are historical pictures from the hotel on the corridors. Bed is comfortable. Overall is good. Lots of amenities. 800 m away from the central station. Breakfast was good.

The room had a bad smell when I entered. There was a small leak under the bathroom sink, so I don’t know if it was for that reason. The ventilator was on but it’s noisy and I preferred to open the window so the smell improved a bit. No air conditioning so, but you can open the window at least. Duvet was to thick for the summer. My room had a blocked view from the other building, I wish I had view to the square.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff was more than kind, lending us water and feeding bowls for our dog so we didn't need to go pick up our own at the car (a few blocks away). Also the bistro lunch was splendid.

Amazing, but I think we were given the same room as 7 years ago: right above the yard where the garbage trucks pick up their loot early in the morning. The noise might have been a little less loud this time - and besides there were free ear plugs :). Parking is a problem when you have plenty of luggage since the chances of getting a slot at the hotel garage are slim. And I do wish also other hotels than the Finnish ones would install hand held showers by the toilet seat to wash your behind.

Pretty room with lots of character, we had plenty of space which is a real treat for a city based hotel. Breakfast is always delicious here, with a great range of fresh and delicious food. Location is absolutely amazing, very central and yet still doesn't feel crowded as it overlooks the square. Parking is good if not a little cosy.

I never understand their need to hand out cards with your requested time slot for a buffet breakfast. I would think this would be relevant for a large group all arriving / leaving together but pointless for a couple. No one checks the cards when you go down to breakfast anyway. We travellers don't need added things to have to think about / remember!

Have been a guest here many times and this time i upgraded my room to a superior king room but sadly i almost regretted it. Location, staff and the beds were very nice I will definately be back tho.

During my first night there was a speaker on the fasade just outside my room that was playing some kind of lounge music which was annoying and that was annoying when i was trying to sleep. There was candy under the sofa from previous guest. Coffee machine was not clean, used coffe cartridge was still in the machine. The scrambled eggs are not good at all.

The location and view were incredible of the square and the cathedral. The food was lovely and eating outside on the square. All the staff were great! We also stayed in profil property in Copenhagen and though the building was old we loved the historic feeling of the hotel too.

The music from the restaurant was left on and disturbed our sleep. (In Kalmar)

The breakfast was great, lots of room to sit and good selection of breakfast foods. There is also a pub in the hotel and the food was great. The hotel is in a great location. There is a church in the square and a lot of shopping in the area. A great place to walk around. 5 min drive to Kalmar Castle.

Being 6' 6", the bathroom showers were a little small, but great water pressure.

The hotel was lovely and so warm and welcoming and clean. We loved staying here and were so close to everything . Kalmar is a gorgeous city, so fun and relaxing. The staff were helpful and friendly and room was great. We didn't want to leave.

The hotel restaurant was just adequate, especially after eating all over Sweden. Recommend travelers go out for meals. The service was nice but we waited 40 minutes for meals and only 1 party was in the restaurant with us. Possibly, hotel is short staffed.

Location perfect for a visit to Kalmar. Room was nice and quit. Restaurant is good.

Parking could be an issue and hotel cannot guarantee a place in the garage. It could appear so on the booking site, so be aware. After some arguing however we did manage to get a place in the garage.

The bed linen and duvets were very comfortable. Shower was good and shower cap provided which was good.

Vegan breakfast. Maybe some roasted mushrooms and tomatoes could have been available . Nothing hot on offer. Yogurt was good. Cheese OK too. Plant milk was available and good bread.

Excellent location: Easy walking distance from the train station and city attractions. Lovely old building with modern touches. Fine restaurant for lunch and dinner and extensive free breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Very reasonable rates.

The only thing I didn't like is that we were in Kalmar for only one night.
