Excellent breakfast with a wide selection where everything was delicious - spoilt for choice. The staff were very helpful with any queries. The location is just short blocks away from a major thoroughfare, making it both convenient but quiet at night, and there's multiple lovely parks a stone's throw away. And speaking of night, the pillows and bed were very comfortable.

There was very little to dislike... I'm personally a fan of riot-police levels of water pressure on holiday, but the shower was fine. The 5th floor rooms are a bit odd being a converted roof (angled ceiling, single smaller window), but were still spacious and countered oddity with the charm of exposed beams and stone floors.

The bathroom was very nice and the king size bed was very comfortable. The room was oriented to the yard, thus very quiet. But even if the room is faced to the street, the traffic is low and rooms are quiet. The internet was working without any problems. The staff in the hotel is extremely friendly and prone to help. The breakfast was outstanding - for me one of the best ones I have ever had in a hotel! In the offer there is cold and warm buffet, wonderful selection of muesli and corn flakes with various nuts, amazing! Cheeses and fresh vegetables were outstanding quality :-) Both filter and espresso coffee, loose leave tee. At the end fabulous selection of cakes, therefore when planning to stay in Ruth hotel, don't forget to book the breakfast!

The room was bit small, for one person it was OK, but two persons may have bit problem (just one chair in the room and very small table). Otherwise strongly recommend!

Love the staff and interiors. Its fun and colourful. The breakfast is excellent. Really great selection of food and the filter coffee was delicious. My room was small but fine for me as a solo travellers. The bed was super comfortable. Loved the pillows!

I think the hallways to the bedrooms could do with bit of refresh. They didn't seem to line with the interiors of the rest of the hotel, The hotel.psrtnrs with the creperie beside the hotel so I felt a bit limited with food selection. The crepes are so good but I didn't want to eat the for lunch and dinner. The small shower head was broken.

Quaint, friendly, super customer service In a great central location. Well decorated! Best breakfast I've ever had in 45+ years of travel. We enjoyed a dinner there, as well. We fell in love with this boutique hotel & with how service minded the staff was. It will always be a part of our fond memories of Stockholm! If we're able to return, we'd stay again!:-)

It is in a rather quiet neighborhood, but w/windows open to cool the air, occasionally you can hear a dog barking, cars going by. I would add a few more hooks to hold towels, a bathrobe maybe & a few more shelves in the bathroom for toiletries. But these small "complaints" pale in comparison to all the good which was offered.

The whole vibe! We could have happily moved in. The communal lounge was so stylish and comfortable, with people having cocktails and playing cards or backgammon. The breakfast is excellent and the staff are lovely especially Jenny who runs the bar. It’s a safe feeling neighbourhood, with good transport links. There are also some great neighbouring restaurants

The rooms don’t have AC, not a massive issue for us as we would prefer the window open - however one of the neighbours was doing noisy works, not the hotels issue but still a little annoying. The shower (we were in the small double room) is a wet room and the screen not big enough, so the whole room ends up wet! The bathroom is honestly too small, so if you’re there for more than two nights, I’d recommend one of the bigger rooms. The breakfast doesn’t have food allergy notices up, which would be a great addition. These are small quibbles though, we loved the hotel.

The hotel has a lot of character, mixing traditional design with modern comfort. The overall style gives a sense of Paris in the 1930s or something along those lines. The style, choice of colours and decor create a sense of comfort and coziness. It is not a bland 'business' hotel with conference rooms or such, but rather a great place for tourists, business travelers or visitors to Stockholm who are looking for something that feels 'special'. My room was on the 5th (top) floor, just under the roof, and gave the sense of an attic due to lower ceilings, etc. Nevertheless, it was not claustrophobic and there was a sense of warmth due to restored terracotta floors, beamed ceilings and the like. The bathroom was newly renovated and quite pristine. The mattress was truly excellent, and I really had an excellent night's sleep, also thanks to well-functioning black out curtains on the window (important in the Nordic countries in the summer). The breakfast was excellent, with lots of fresh fruit, good coffee, pastries, cereal, meats and cheeses, yogurt, etc - in other words anything you might want, served nicely and with great quality. The location of the hotel is ideal in so far as it is on a side street to two of the main boulevards in Stockholm, near public transport and also within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants and attractions. It is not particularly cheap, but the price is reasonable in relation to quality. In other words, I have experienced much worse hotels in Stockholm for similar, or perhaps only slightly cheaper, prices. Consider that rooms in Stockholm hotels tend to be very small, so even if you are traveling alone, you might want to consider booking a double room. If traveling in a couple, consider upgrading to the highest level your budget allows. The staff are professional and come across as engaged and ready to help. I would definitely recommend this hotel and plan on staying there again on my next visit to Stockholm.

The shower in the bathroom in my room did not have great water pressure, probably because I was on the fifth floor. It was adequate, however, so not a huge minus. Just something to know about. I had a double room which was OK for one person. The room would have been tight for two guests if they were staying more than 2-3 nights max. So if you are traveling in a couple and need to spend a lot of time in the room, consider upgrading to the largest possible room and highest category to get some extra space.

Breakfast was amazing and definitely highlight of the stay. We had a spacious and neat room. All in all, we enjoyed staying at Ruth a lot and I could recommend it. It is also easy to get around from the hotel by public transport, for example to Norrmalm or Södermalm.

We didn't have air condition in our hotel room so I can imagine that during the summer time the hotel room will be uncomfortably warm. Now we could handle it by keeping the windows open. Also one minus is that the room didn't have a refrigerator.

The breakfast was really high quality, everything from the scrambled eggs to the pastries - absolutely above what you would normally find at most hotels. Lovely with Parmigiano, and very good juices. The place is obviously appreciated also by people getting in to have just the breakfast or for a drink late afternoon, the cozy and a bit special lounge being possibly one reason. The location is a few minutes off the area where you probably want to walk but you can still reach Strandvägen in half an hour and the center in even shorter time by leisure walking, do not let the map scare you. Quite a few nice places for the evening in the vicinity. The street is very quiet at night. The ventilation system in the room is perfectly silent as well, which is not a given. The personnel is invariably very kind. It is an hotel where you feel at home.

Nothing. The room at the fifth floor was not the most charmful notwithstanding the wooden beams, at least when compared to the rooms in the pictures. Probably I should have picked another room to give this hotel a well deserved 9. Yet that upper floor came with the advantage of complete silence at night. I would recommend them to fix a bit the ceiling in the corridor leading to the elevator, I understand the idea but the unpainted cables in the middle look a bit messy - perhaps a metal grid of the same color? But that is nothing to worry about, it is surely just me who noted that.

We booked a last minute get away for 3 adults and two young children and Hotel Ruth offered a great value for the rooms in a great location. The staff was exceptionally cordial and helpful. The breakfast lived up to everyone’s expectations and then some! The rooms were clean and met our needs. There was a tall fan in the room which brought in the cooler air and helped to mute any street noise, which was minimal. We were also given access to private, underground parking for a fee, which was reasonable.

The general atmosphere was amazing, and the personnel very welcoming. The bar area downstairs is quite lively at night, with many visitors not being guests of the hotel, which is a good sign. It is not located in the center, but can easily be walked from there. Also there's a nearby subway station. I always prefer to stay a little outside of the center, so you get more of a residential feeling rather than the tourist experience. Their breakfast is truly amazing in terms of range of options, quality of the food, how it's being presented, as well as the friendly staff. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels in different countries for work, but this was the best breakfast I have experienced.

As I relatively tall person, I hit my head a few times to get into the bathroom. Nor could we close the bathroom door while sitting on the toilet as our legs wouldn't have fit in anymore. This could just have been my room potentially.
