I am a returning customer as this is a charming hotel next to a lake. Service is impeccable. Restaurant offers very good food already for breakfast and I like the country house style atmosphere. This is my favourite hotel in Stockholm.

Great surroundings ...overlooking the lake, in a lovely park - 1 stop from central Stockholm on the Metro (10 minute walk to the station)....plenty of little cafes, shops and restaurants along the way. Lovely restaurant with terrace overlooking the lake - meals/drinks a little expensive, but on par with Stockholm I suppose. Breakfast is the best I have seen in terms of quality, quantity and choice ...outstanding kitchen. Check in/Check out was simple, quick and efficient. Rooms are small, but adequate. Views vary ...pay a little more if you want a lake view.

Sits between a lovely lake/park on one side and the express way on the other...not a spoiler really, but as you leave you need to negotiate this to get to the city or Metro station.

The wonderful hotel steeped in history with a sympathetic designer decor. Fabulous front and back of house staff with wonderful food and cocktails. Loved the frontage of a boating lake with wonderful parks either side of the hotel for great walks and exploring. Easy to walk, bus or taxi into Stockholm, we did all but throughly enjoyed walking every day taking in the sculptures, parks, cafe stops for coffee and delicious Selmas. Before further walking the calories off.

Shame all rooms did not have tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities in the room however, we asked front of house and this was sorted at no cost. We would have liked a booklet with what's close-by on foot, bus or cycle and a map. Rather than find out ourselves by luck.

Located at just a few km from stockholm centre but with a stunning view on a lake. Haga park on walking distance. Free parking. Great atmosphere.

We like to sleep with fresh air, but open windows go together with traffic noise.

The breakfast selection was great and for a short trip would be amazing. After staying for nearly a week, it did get somewhat repetitive, possibly a 3 day rotation of what is available would keep it fun and exciting for all guests each day. The location of the hotel was picturesque and just a step away from a lake and amazing trail walks as well as an easy walk to the city center. The hotel itself is just brilliant and the rooms were perfect, with a large bed and separate duvets each night's sleep was refreshing.

The wifi in the rooms was a very weak connection. Simple images and especially videos failed to load the majority of the time. If the travel was for work this would have been a big issue. The plugs also seemed like low power, so any electricals took a long time to charge so you need to be prepared for the day ahead.

Amazing breakfast, had like 4 plate refills each day. Hotel is located in a beautiful park, which was really romantic to walk around with all the snow. The hotel itself gives you a feeling of living in palace quarters, is well furnished and with really helpful staff.

Other than the park around it there is nothing else to do in short walking distance, which means you'll have to use public transport to go anywhere. One other slight (really minimal) issue was with the noise, as in the ground floor you will hear everyone go by the corridors, along with some of the traffic outside.

Very beautiful little stylish boutique hotel relatively close to Stockholm center (20 minutes by bus, 25 by metro) Great breakfast and very nice restaurant near a lake. Very comfortable bed and very nice personnel. Recommend to have dinner in the restaurant at least one time during the stay

Distance to city center - but we preferred by far staying there than in a clasic hotel in the city center

Very nice breakfast in the room and lovely, good looking serviceminded girls in the reception. The former, legendary SAS commander Janne Carlsson should probably have visited the restaurant and bar with great success. His tireless, innovative focus on smiling as well as enduring unexpected challenges would have helped Stallmästaregården to become significantly more attractive. With white tablecloths and several small dishes and good, reasonably priced wines on the menu would have been a great success and sales would skyrocket.Janne Carlzon

Bartenders and staff in the restaurant smile at each other, but not as much at the guests, but that only means that it will get better; we will be back to test.

The room was very cozy, with two levels, one with bedroom and one toilet, one with living room and bathroom. Probably the stairs between them was a little bit scary (or hard to use), but overall, the apartment it was wonderful. The breakfast, even it was the same for all days, it was very tasty and diverse (meat, cheese, cereals, fruits, hot dishes), therefore in each day it was possible to try different things. One special word for the garden, where few happy rabbits jump from one place to another and make the place as in stories. In fact, all the place looks like in interbellic movies, and it gives you a wonderful and calmful serenity.

One single, not so important thing: we had TV in bedrom, but not in living. This is only if I have to mention something.

The best hotel accommodation on our travels around Norway and Sweden, a very calm location close to the waterside and the park. The interior is very stylish and staff very helpful and kind - they really care about your needs and comfort. The breakfast also one of the best, we really appreciated grilled mushrooms and tomatoes, we would stay again even more than for two nights. The bathtube was really great treat after long time on the way.
