Fabulous traditional hotel complete with squeaky floors, winding corridors and stairs - the view from my room to the river was direct on to nature and I could hear the river - very soothing. The breakfast was outstanding - best scrambled eggs ever and the variety of jams and fresh bread etc just great.

I stayed on a Tuesday night / it seems the restaurant is closed mon-wed but it would have been nice to know this in advance - there is nowhere, at all, in the immediate vicinity to find a decent meal on Monday or Tuesday - I was directed to the local macdonalds or the petrol station. it was chilly and drizzling; I was on foot :( (Wednesday apparently there is a restaurant across the road). I would really have appreciated notification of this in advance. It would also have been nice if the hotelier had offered a simple plate of cold meat and cheese … they have this available for breakfast! It won’t stop me staying again as everything else was great but it was disappointing on the night.

The staff were extremely welcoming and catered to our every need. They were also very kind whenever we needed anything extra. The restaurant at the hotel is first class and I thoroughly recommend visitors eat there!

Not that I didnt like this, but you have to know that a vehicle is essential if you stay here (no public transport)

Breakfast was lovely and very rich. The bread was very good. The building is very nice and I loved the charme. The room was extremely nice with the spa.

The light at the entrance door during the night could be with movement detection. I think it didn't work. Air conditioning would be great.

Lovely historic house but modern features The owner was very hospitable and welcoming. Such a massive house/hotel. River and lovely scenery nearby. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Hotel met expectations. Room very clean, friendly staff, comfortable, everything in the room worked. Hot water, wifi, good bed. The breakfast the next morning was excellent. Nice to have a drinks fridge for free to help ourselves even with beer inside! Thank you.

There is a tierheim (dog shelter) just out back so the barking dogs early in the morning was unpleasant.

what a lovely traditional Swiss hotel , with modern def rooms , my room was minimalistic, beautifully presented & very comfortable with a brilliant shower , complimentary drinks & nibbles , a lovely touch & a super food service in the wonderful , traditionally decorated dinning room , the staff were brilliant !

I couldn’t stay long enough !

Amazing dinner paired exceptionally well with wines and the breakfast as well was very good! The service is absolutely great! We will go back again soon!

Our room location in relation to the street was not great but still very comfy!

Comfortable, nice room and nice lunch in the garden.
