Very good location, near to St. Jakobshalle where I needed to be - 5 minutes by normal trottinette or one tram stop. The hotel gives a card for public transport, which is great to have if you want to go to the center. Breakfast was tasty however the choice of food is rather basic.
The price of the parking is really high. For one night ok, but for longer stay, not possible.

The guy who manage breakfast in the morning assumed that my room wasn't booked with breakfast just because I am black. Many white people serving themselves breakfast, I was the only one to be questions why I am serving myself. Not even asking for my room number and check if I should have breakfast. Normally I should put a Zero on the hotel but at least the receptionists were all very kind and polite.

Staff is really nice, you can leave your luggage if you arrive prior to check in time and go explore the city meanwhile. The rooms are small, but that didn’t really bother me. Great view from the window, and the AC worked fine. Location is great! Although it’s not in the city center, there is a bus stop (line 14) really close to the hotel (3 min walk max) that connects you to the center quite easily and the bus also comes very frequently (about every 7 min).
The only thing that I didn’t really like but it’s not the hotel’s fault but rather my personal preference, is that the bed is on the softer side which I’m not a fan of. Other than that, great value for money! Would definitely recommend.

I arrived late on date requested. Never been to Basel I was nervous and unsure of how to locate the hotel. The manager sent me a well put together directions on which tram to take and when to switch to get to the hotel. I found the hotel even in the dark! They complemented me with an extra space and a glass of champagne to celebrate my birthday. My birthday was August 17. I also appreciated the complimentary pass for touring and traveling in the city. Was able to travel on the tram without extra expense. I received a discount at the tourist office when I bought my ticket to tour the city.
The receptionist who checked me out couldn’t give me a receipt. They were supposed to send it via email but never received one..

The staff were very friendly and helpful, as we were travelling we didn’t know the area well and the staff were very helpful with directing us to near transport etc. Bathroom was a good size. Not too far from the nearest bus/tram stop. It is ideal to stay where you just want a good nights sleep, where you won’t be staying in the room a lot of the day. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was good, a good selection of food to offer, and open to a reasonable time.
For a twin room the beds were very close together, only a hand distance apart from both beds, the room was very hot at night, the air con worked but not very powerful therefore we had to leave it on to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. The pillow was very small and thin, ideally would like two.

Location was good, around 5-6 train stop from Basel SBB (bahnhof). Hotel was clean and well maintained. We got a free room upgrade and able for early check-in. We also got Basel city train tickets during our stay . The room was spacious with a good city view. Our room was at the top level (11th).
Everything was ok, if the price could be cheaper..it would be better . The room only has AC, so we need to borrow mini heater (heizung) with deposit.

The receptionist was very nice and helpful on the phone before my arrival. An indoor parking was available, yet not for free as it was stated on booking. However, it was still a bug benefit. Checkout was very quick. A view from the room was great. Room was ready straight away.
The parking is for a fee of 20 chf, yet on booking it stated that it was free. There were no hygiene utilities such as a toothbrush in the room. However, understanding the level of the hotel I understand that this is quite normal and should have rather been asked for.

Very close to the 14 tram, which was helpful for getting to the old town, train station and zoo. The shower was really nice, even if the bathroom gets wet when you use it. We were on the 11th floor and the big windows with the view of the city made the room feel bigger. With a baby cot in the room it was very difficult to get around, the rooms are quite small, but adequate. Overall, a decent place which would be overpriced if it hadn’t been in Switzerland.
-There is no hot water available without payment, so my mom was charged $10 for hot water for my baby to have a bottle. She wanted to ask staff if it was available for free but after waiting for an extended period at the desk, no one was available. -Breakfast was very pricy: 17 CHf/person. It was sufficient, but I’m glad we only did it one day of our stay. -Staff was unwilling to take outgoing mail (stamped postcards), which isn’t any big factor but just seemed like such an easy thing to do, it felt really unhelpful. -While close to the tram, it is far from any restaurants, grocery or convenience stores. They do have food you can order from the bar, but I would suggest you get snacks to take with you from town.

October 2022
The breakfast was excellent and had a good variety of food items for guests to choose from. The wifi connection was also very smooth and I had no trouble making calls to loved ones during the evening, which was definitely a plus. My room was the perfect size, though some of the furniture is a little big, so I sometimes found myself fumbling around with desk chairs to get to and from the closet; desk and chair were wedged pretty close to the bed as well, with not much clearance between (and mind you, I'm a fairly small person). Everything was extremely comfortable to sit in and rest in however, and the quiet room I requested was—indeed—very quiet! I rested well every night of my stay and was able to wake up early feeling refreshed. The bathroom also came with soap and shampoo, so that definitely came in handy when I'd forgotten some toiletries at home. Housekeeping was also very good and I enjoyed having a fresh set of sheets and towels for each day. I also loved that the location was fairly residential (lots of apartments nearby and with families), so I felt very safe and did not have to worry much about noise. The trams are just a minute's walk away from the hotel as well, so it's very easy to get around the city. That being said, while I used trams everyday, I did have to take the cab to the train station after I checked out—Melli, the receptionist that morning (24/10/22) was extremely helpful and called the taxi for me. Highly recommend staying here. I hope to book with the hotel again in the future.
I couldn't find an iron or ironing board in my room and had to ask a receptionist if I could have one sent to me, since I had my hands full with souvenirs from the Kunstmuseum as well as some other items I'd bought earlier that day. With it being late evening and having spent so much time outdoors, the last thing I wanted to do was haul all my things (souvenirs, purse, heavy DSLR camera) to my room in addition to an iron and ironing board... but that ended up happening.

despite major roadworks going on and it impacted on the tram system the hotel staff gave me up to date info on the phone. The temporary bus service stopped at the hotel. I stayed for a week and found the hotels location, it’s cleanliness and staff exceptional. I paid extra and had the breakfast every morning and it was an excellent start to the day.
