Characterful historic building in the old town area - really great location for exploring Chur. Pleasant staff and great views in two directions from the room. The room and bed were comfortable and bathroom clean and with a good shower. There is a bar and restaurant so easy to get a drink or meal. Good wifi. Cable car nearby (10 minutes walk at most). Nice breakfasts.

Not a problem for us but there was only just enough hanging/storage space in our room so if you have a lot of luggage you might have problems organising your stuff. Food took a while to come in the restaurant if you eat there (but was very good when it came).

Nice smallish non-chain hotel. Very good and personal service. I arrived a bit late in the evening but there was an envelope waiting at the reception desk with my name that contained the key card. I extended my one-night booking with a second night and had to change rooms then but that was not a problem at all. Shower and AC worked very well. Windows could also be opened completely. The included breakfast was very good. The location is an easy walk from the train station.

Staff very helpful & friendly. Breakfast was tasty - boiled egg cooked soft/medium/hard to your request. Very old building is full of character.

We were told restaurant was open til 22:00, the sign outside said the same and the in-room info package said the same. However arriving late, after eating very little all day, we were told the restaurant had a big party so could not accomodate us - but if the party was not there they would have shut at 21:00 and if we wanted to eat next day it would close at 21:00. However we were directed to a nice pizza place and still had a good feed. No headboard on bed and only one pillow made watching TV impossible - but that did not bother us that much.

Convenient Location in heart of Old Town, walking distance to most attractions. Historic building with lots of quirks & charm. Room was clean & simply furnished; shower had plentiful hot water & good water pressure. Breakfast was adequate; appreciated the Self-Service Beverage Corner where guests can enjoy complimentary tea & coffee. Multilingual Staff rendered prompt & professional service with the kind gentleman on duty being especially friendly & helpful.

Shower stall might be a tight fit for guests of larger build but such compact size is considered normal by Swiss standards. Faint odour in Bathroom at times but it was not pervasive nor unbearable - perhaps some issues with drainage or plumbing? As is often the case with historic buildings, there is No Lift so be prepared to lug your bags up several flights of stairs - travel light if you can or request for a room on lower floor. If you're sensitive to cigarette smoke or noise, please note that there's a Bar sharing the premises and it can get quite smoky & noisy, especially on weekends.

This is a 'traditional' hotel in a 'traditional' old building - the Reception is 1st floor, the rooms 2nd floor, there is no lift,, my room at least had a sink but no shower, there is a toilet at the end of the corridor, but all is fine, calm, peaceful, beautifully situated, the exact opposite of a modern 'chain' Ibis or a Motel One....... Breakfast was pleasant, one can sit out on a terrace; Three minutes' walk from 'Altstadt' stop on the wonderful railway to Arosa (an experience all should do); I stayed only one night, did not use the restaurant but got a very good impression and the staff were very nice and helpful.

The staff here are excellent and go out of their way to help you with travel arrangements and suggestions. Breakfast was outstanding and we ate in the restaurant at night and it was delicious. It is located in the walk only area of Chur and we enjoyed strolling thru the neighborhoods. Close to the train station, restaurants and shopping.

This is an older property - very lovely but no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor. Not really a problem for us since we had packed very light but it might be challenging if you are older and have much luggage. Some of the rooms have an inch or 2 difference between the hallway and bedroom or bathroom so you must keep aware so you don't accidentally trip.

The room was very pretty, I had windows on two walls so I had a view of the courtyard from different angles and lots of light! The shower was spotless and a bathrobe, towels and slippers were provided, a lovely touch. As well as that, an information pack about the property was given, along with a card for free access to local attractions! At breakfast, the staff were extremely helpful in finding me dairy-free milk and foods to eat (as I have allergies). Really lovely stay!

Very minor complaint but the pillow was a little too soft for me and I think I would have benefited from a second being available in the room. Also, there was no access to a hot water machine outside of breakfast hours, so no way to make tea or coffee at night.

Exceptional location at the oldest city in Switzerland. We were lucky to be there during the Saturday marketplace so se could walk around and see the local produce and crafts (apart from the quaint shops). It is only short walk from the station. Really good service by the staff, and they helped us with our luggage up to our rooms at the top floor (3rd) so not having a lift was no problem at all. Spacious and comfortable room. Breakfast was good and there is a beautiful room attached to the restaurant where we did some reading ! Memorable !!

The cutest vintage hotel in an medieval part of this small city ~ staff was wonderful, room had a wonderful view, bed was very comfortable, room was small, but perfectly adequate for two people and two suitcases, plus two backpacks. Bathroom was small, but shower head was great. This is an older inn-style hotel, vintage, historical, and cute as pie. Be warned, there is no elevator! Be prepared to climb stairs- perfectly doable for able bodied people. Breakfast is included and runs till 10:30am. would stay here again most definitely.

There is a smoking lounge with a closed door as soon as you walk in the front lobby, but the smell of smoke permeates the entire front entrance. not a fan of cigarette smoke, but fortunately it doesn’t permeate the rest of the hotel. The lighting in the room was adequate, but not great. The window let’s in a lot of light.

Friendly staff. Good location near the train station, 10-15 min walk. Breakfast was good (bread, yoghurt, myesli, croissants, jam, butter, apples, juice, coffee, cheese, cold cuts, boiled egg). I doubt If there would have been any vegetarian options but did not ask so I don't know for sure.

Beds in Georg's room were quite creaky, maybe IT was just Georg's special :D No wc or shower in the room but they were near at hall and no need to queue. No AC, opening windows was helpful as it was not too hot outside.
