The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning, with views of the lake and a 2-minute walk to the water. The staff were all very friendly and in particular those on the front desk were extremely helpful. The breakfast was excellent, I highly recommend the scrambled eggs made to order! I was fortunate to be travelling for work on this trip and staying at the Hotel Löwen am See made my first trip to Switzerland a memorable one.

Location absolutely excellent..close to old part of town, the lake and plaza with market and only 10 minutes walk from station. Our room was excellent....super size with view to lake, old town and plaza. Room was quiet, dark with very comfortable beds.

The presence of a bigger reception area or seating area would be good. Breakfast could include better quality teas and coffee. Often had to wait to get a tea at breakfast.....a self serve machine would avoid that.

The hotel is located in an astonishing characteristic Swiss square with breath-taking lake view. The structure is perfectly installed and in harmony with the rest of the other buildings in a pure Swiss style. The room was pretty big, with 2 bedroom an adequate bathroom with a huge shower. A big high in terms of cost but, considering that I booked few days in advance, it is the beginning of the high-season and the location is on one of the richest canton (in one of the richest country in the world) it is pretty easy to understand so high price.

Location perfect Check in - arrived at 7am and was met by a lovely lady, accommodating me to at least being able to refresh myself and storing luggage until the afternoon - i really appreciated that after the overnight flight. breakfast was also wonderful.

Breakfast was quite good, with fresh coffee and expresso being prepared for us. The room was very comfortable, and the air conditioner worked well. There was a mini-bar, which helped with the warm Summer climate. The bathroom was gorgeous. The shower was really good. The staff was knowledgeable and courteous.

Excellent location. Very comfortable. Very close to the lake and restaurants. Friendly staff. We enjoyed celebrating the Swiss national day in front of our hotel.

No free parking but there is very close one and it cost 15 CHF. No hanger in the bathroom so you can hang your clothes.

Löwen is a small but nice family hotel in the best spot in Zug. you have their own fantastic restaurant as well as another 4 or 5 nice restaurants around the same little quaint square. all of this is on the waters edge, so you can take the ferry or a dip in the lake, all literally on your doorstep.

the AC in my room was aim straight at my face. so I ran it early to cool the room down and then left it off which worked reasonably well.

I loved everything about the property. It’s a beautiful property with cosy rooms and centrally located where you are a stone throw away from the city center and you have to lake to the front! The staff at the front desk were exceptionally helpful.

Location was excellent and receptionist were customer freindly.

Our room was in front of laundry facility room. They were loud and noisy. Off course we got better room second time. Room Service could be better.

Throughout the stay the staff were polite, friendly, very helpful and very efficient. Breakfasts (only meal taken in the hotel) were good with a good selection of cereals, fruit and eggs, if you required, all in a lovely room.

Cost was high but this is Switzerland!
