do not let the small entrance and traditional foyer fool you. I booked the rooms as a special treat for the family, to enjoy the view of Sun Moon Lake from our rooms. the 4-bed room was AMAZING! the view was incredible. it was spacious with good separation of spaces, a sizeable sitting area, a good area for luggages and clothes, and possibly the largest toilet I have ever seen. the bathtubs were beautiful. the 2 bedroom was comfortable with a great bathtub and view but half of the view from the bed was blocked by the tv, which was slightly disappointing. the hotel encourages turning off the AC at 12am for eco reasons. we opened the sliding doors BUT DO NOT open the insect screens. it was wonderfully quiet from the evening to morning. breakfast is on the top floor with the same incredible view, good food, great staff, and the best 奶茶 (milk tea). the front of house staff were also very initiative to quickly come and help us bring our luggages from the taxi in.

nothing. just be careful at sunset to keep insect screens closed because of the mosquitoes. also the lane to the hotel is narrow and crowded. our driver was great but I understand some may prefer to wait elsewhere.

Where do I start? It was amazing to stay in this hotel. We had room 601 with a view of the lake. So that was already special. The hotel is in a perfect location. So close to the wharf and all shops and restaurants.The room was spacious with a balcony and a large bathroom. The bed linen was nice to the touch, very luxurious. The bed very comfortable. Nice furnishings with a wardrobe. The breakfast was sufficient and tasty. The staff was friendly and respectful.

We had a beautiful room - view, facilities and decor. The breakfast buffet was on the top floor and was a small Chinese stle buffet. Parking was easy, we let them know we wanted a parking spot. They responded promptly. As instructed, we drove to the hotel and the receptionist took us to a locked parking lot 100m away. Best of all was the location - heaps of food shops, the ferry wharf and coastal path all within 100m. Ita Thao was lots of fun.

Location was unbeatable, so near the pier and there was lots to shop and eat even at night. Breakfast was yummy and staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The lift was great for huge luggages and there was a water dispenser at every level. Toilet was also spacious

We didn't know our room didn't have a window. There was a "balcony" that open up to a wall (sort of like an air well) but our single bed blocked it anyway so we didn't access the area.

Wonderful location, just a short stroll down to the pier and along the food stall streets. Breakfast was nice and homey, and the view of the lake from the breakfast place is amazing! Great to chill in the morning. The rooms are spacious, clean and cosy. Bathrooms are clean, spacious and well-stocked. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place!

Had the corner double room with lake views: what an absolutely lovely room! Relaxing balcony, tub, TV with lots of channels, hot water and great shower, provided some extra toiletries, good wifi signal. Location was great and definitely had beautiful lake views! Hosts were absolutely fantastic. Sweet, warm, helpful, friendly!!

We really loved this little family run hotel. Very cute, spacious room with lake views from windows and balcony. Tasty, unusual vegetarian breakfast with lake views too. Huge bathroom. Right next to yummy food stalls, shops and restaurants and directly opposite ferry harbour.

Really lovely hotel. Spacious and nice rooms. They offer breakfast and the dining space as a good view. The staff speak little English but are eager to help - they made us tea, gave us directions and call a cab for us.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was within walking distance of the lake and the gondolas. Good value for the price.

Our room was a little cold and we couldn’t figure out the thermostat to get it to a more comfortable temperature.

Small but comfortable and sufficient room. Breakfast with western and local food, surprisingly nice coffee! Great location with the food street right outside, pier less than as minute away. Great place overall.

Only thing to minus points was the rule to turn off the ac at midnight, so was a bit stuffy in the middle of the night.
