We chose to stay for two nights in this hotel as we wanted to be near the Taipei HSR station as we had an early morning train to catch. We truly enjoyed our stay and found this hotel to be near perfect for the following reasons: 1. Location - the hotel is just 1 block away from the Taipei HSR station (just a short 5 min walk) and MRT but it is uncovered (hence exposed to rain) and along a busy and uneven road (so expect some mild wear and tear on your suitcase wheels). 2. Cleanliness and comfort - the rooms are nice and clean and new. Shower is clean and strong with nice shower amenities. Comfortable bed with modern flat screen TV (can link wirelessly to phone). Free Wi-Fi of decent strength. 3. Convenience - just next to the hotel there is a McDonalds, KFC, CAMA coffee (excellent coffee for breakfast), 7-11, Family Mart and a 24-hr restaurant serving local Taiwanese food. 4. Amenities - there is a self-serve pantry on the ground floor where guests have free-flow of coffee, tea and snacks (biscuits in the day and instant noodles for supper). There is a microwave, toaster oven and fridge for common use. There are also washing machines and dryers for guests to use. This is so convenient and so freaking perfect! 5. Service - the service staff are friendly and genuinely make an effort to listen to what you need and actively help. We truly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Taipe

The room is quite small and cramped. No space to put your clothes.

Ginny and Jay provided excellent customer service to us with regards to places to visit and also our general queries. We were always treated with a smile and courtesy. Location of CityInn III is superb. Located near Taipei main station and we found out its also near zhongshan Station.

Adjoining rooms are not interconnected. So that's disappointing. They advertise as 322sq ft. It's actually 2 standard rooms. What they did was actually locate us next to each other which is the best they can do.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Location is superb. It took us just under 4 minutes (varies depending on walking speed) to get to the hotel from either Taipei Bus Station (exit Q Square) or Taipei Main Station (exit Y11). As we spent most of our time away, we didn't mind the room size (the room is compact). We travelled light so we only had 2 messenger bags and 1 small backpack, therefore, we had enough room to move about inside the room. We also got a room with windows (facing Chang'an W Rd), which was fantastic. Do take note that when Taipei is awake, you may hear sounds of cars and motorcycles. This didn't really bother us (one of us is a light sleeper) since the outside noise was not loud to the extent we couldn't sleep/continue sleeping. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay for its location, condition and hospitality. Thank you, CityInn!

The location is ok, but the streets are dark at night. The staff is friendly , the water pressure and the shower gel, shampoo are nice.

Easy to be confused with the Branch II(just next to this Branch III ).

CityInn is in the heart of Taipei-- easily walkable to pretty much any sightseeing location and close to the Ximending shopping district. The hotel is well maintained, clean, and spacious. They offer laundry services, free snacks (ramen at night!), and free toiletries (floss, hair cap, toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, lotion, hair brush, etc) as well as luggage storage for up to 7 days in the lobby. When we had to leave on a day trip for Jiufen and stayed a night at a different hotel, we left our luggages secured at CityInn. There are plenty of good breakfast spots and food places nearby, and the Q Mall and public transportation are all several blocks away. What is perhaps most impressive about this location is the phenomenal customer service, friendliness, and professionalism of its staff. The front desk staff truly go above and beyond to meet any of the concerns of visitors and will do anything to help you make your trip easier. We had the staff make several phone calls in the local language to try and make reservations for certain things. They also had plenty of advice and recommendations to give. CityInn's staff had the best customer service I've ever experienced in any country during my travels.

There was construction that is outside the hotel's control going on right by our original assigned room (10am to 5pm). When we voiced our concerns to the staff, they were able to reaccommodate us into a quieter room. Also, the clothes dryers are not to be trusted in the laundry room because they take FOREVER to dry your clothes. Lastly, the hair dryer is a bit weak in the hotel rooms and wifi can be spotty depending on which floor you're on.

The hotel location are between 2 metro station, the walking distance are within 5 mins, and also nearby night market, very convenient for us. The staffs very helpful and kind, and always smile to all traveler. Hotel also have provided the FREE laundry service, that will be super warmth. The level 1 also have clean toilet and pantry for free water dispense, fridge, coffee machine etc.

The soundproofing is abit weak, especially in the corridors you can hear the sound in the room. The family rooms is abit small, especially with 3-4 luggage, which cannot be open at the same time.

Check-in / Check-out : Staff were friendly and check-in/out was fuss-free. We asked to leave our bag 3 days before our stay and they were agreeable to it. Weighing scale available at the lobby. Room: Space slightly small but was sufficient for my party of 2 with one suitcase and one duffel. Tabletop was slightly cramped and somewhat lack of a counter space to place all our belongings but we made do - same for bathroom countertop space for any toiletries and skincare. Bed and pillows were comfy and just nice for us two. TV had a selection of movies (incl AV) and could access Youtube. Bathroom: Standard toilet so don't expect heated seat and bidet functionalities, shower with instant water heater and good quality shampoo and body soap. Basic toiletries provided and I appreciated he addition of packets of conditioner and body lotion. Facilities: Pantry and laundry room on the first floor were amazing. Pantry had shared oven, microwave, fridge, sink, and water dispenser. Coffee machine had coffee, hot chocolate, milk and others. Snacks were also provided, and after 10pm there were complimentary cup noodles available for guests. Laundry had 3 washing machines and 3 dryers, easy to use with laundry baskets, laundry nets, and washing powder provided.

Standard room could be slightly squeezy for some and distinct lack of countertop space. Location of the hotel in between Taipei Main Station and Zhongshan MRT, about a 7min walk to either. Not so convenient for those with chunky luggages. No ramp into the hotel.

The location is just close to the Metro Station. They have free laundry, free ramen at night. They serve unlimited coffee and hot chocolates, too. Their staff were friendly and very helpful.

We arrived at 5PM but our room was not ready so we had to wait for 20 mins. While waiting, their staff didn't give us any information about their policies. When we were about to go to our room, she started telling me about policies and what to expect. I told her she could have given us the details while we were waiting, not at that time when we're about to take the elevator since we were tired from our trip. Some black molds in the bathroom, especially behind the bottles of shampoo and body wash - it looked really disgusting. Molds can also be found on the corners of the bathroom along the grout lines.

Hotel was simple and sufficient, and fulfilled all our needs. The best part about it were the complimentary laundry facilities which where so useful and the snacks, noodles and drinks provided for free as well. The hotel knew that two members of our party had birthdays during our travel period, and prepared an entire cake that the staff personally brought to our rooms and celebrated with us. We were very touched by this thoughtfulness!

No ramp at the entrance of the hotel that had 2 or 3 steps. Will have to carry heavy luggage up and down. Also, we were travelling with 3 prams for our kids and the lack of a ramp made it very inconvenient when going in and out. Interestingly, noticed that Branch II had a ramp at their entrance.

There was no breakfast though they had a nice room with a coffee machine and toaster oven etc. The room had nice touches and good lighting. Reception at front desk were very friendly and helpful.

Heard some noises and conversation from either the hallway or other adjacent rooms Could not get a/c to work in room either through my error or something was wrong with the thermostat. I charged my iPhone using a borrowed charger from their front desk. When I arrived at train station at check out, my iPhone would not accept my password or allow access to phone for several minutes. Not sure if this problem was due to the charging device (an iPhone charger, btw), but wanted to note it. Eventually, the phone was restored to full capacity on the train ride to airport.
