Good Location next to shopping center. Staff are friendly and helpful at lobby n reception. .

Breakfast. Lack on the spot cooked food choice like other hotels. Service staff don't serve you coffee etc. Insist you take yourself. Food choice lacking compared to other hotels I've stayed in Taipei. My first time staying here. Room service stopped at 9pm. Bed is too soft resulting in backache after staying four nights. Pillows are all too thin n flat, I need to sleep on three/four pillows to raise my head up. For your info. My friends staying there also felt the same. We occupied three rooms during our stay from 4th to 8th September.

Location is great

The design of the bathroom is not so good. Bathtub, shower very difficult to climb in and out. The bathroom area is only enclosed by a curtain which doesn't make too much of sound proofing.

Tony Liang of Palais de Chine hotel.. The 1st person to greet me & last person to say goodbye 5 days later, the staff at the hotel are fabulous, the customer service is outstanding and the hotel has a policy of reserving some rooms for Taiwanese residents only, so at least 1/2 the quests will be native. Which makes for a more diverse group of people at the breakfast buffet. The water in the shower is so soft & silky, after 1 day, I no longer needed as much body lotion. I'd go back just for the customer service ex perience & the soft water but my room was well appointed & luxurious. I think the wall paper was special order becuz I couldnt find any seams.

Great location near Taipei main Station. Staff are really friendly and professional. Enviromentally friendly by providing toiletries only if you need them, less wastage. Very clean room.

The lighting is a bit dark, you always need to have all the lights on even during the day, kind of conflicting their idea of less wastage. At the same time, now that they have a new building in front of it although not in use yet, guests will have a privacy issue on hand because the sheer curtain would not be enough, and pulling the blinds down completely would make the room feel so claustrophobic without any natural light.

The advantage of the hotel's location, such as being close to popular attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas and the amenities that were available, such as free Wi-Fi, spacious rooms, swimming pool or gym, and 24-hour reception including the overall cleanliness of the hotel including the guest rooms, common areas, and dining areas. My thoughts on the hotel's reputation, such as the level of service provided by the staff, the responsiveness to requests and the price matched the quality of the stay, and if you feel that it was good value for money.

The location was awesome as it was just opposite the main train station and there's bus station and taxi in front of the hotel. its very convenient in transporting around. The staffs were all very kind and friendly. They even helped me and my family to call restaurants for reservations.

The experience there well al excellent except that their rooms were all quite dim and dark. Its quite hard to see even the lift buttons. The lobby, as well as the restaurant, were all quite dark. Understand that it is their theme but maybe its too dim or it would be better if we could change the colour of the lights ourselves. The other thing was that the shower is located in the bathtub and its actually quite dangerous to be claiming in and out of the bathroom for showers.

I indicated my Booking was with an infant child and requested for a baby cot. To my amazement, the hotel provided sterilizer, baby bathtub and baby essentials stuff (baby wipes and etc). The location is also fantastic as there is a mall directly located below and good to get supper last min. Furthermore, it is near to Taipei Main Train Station so it is easy for us to travel around Taiwan.

The lights in room seem to be dimmed

Very convenient location. Near to train HSR , bus , metro MRT as on main Taipei train station. At the same building thrte is a big shopping mall with a lot of shops , restaurants and food court. Good bed, pillow. Very helpful staff at the 1st Floor.

Very very very dark at the room. During check in , they charged breakfast addittionall fee , but it was included to the room rate. Finally they agreed refund it back. At the breakfast serving with fried aggs, omelets extremely long time! One day we ordered eggs, waited time was about 40 minutes! If they can not do fast service, why not prepare it in advance!

Housekeeping service needs to have a lot more improvements. Room were not tidy Bathrobe was left on the chair Toilet bin were not emptied daily Shower foam and shampoo not refilled Drinking water only 2 bottles have to conatantly call to get more replenishment Coffee table was not wipe as well. They do not have king size bed, when requested they just combine 2 single bed into 1 bed which is very uncomfortable as middle of both bed combine is stiff and hard due to the edges of both bed combine to be a big bed instead of 1 king bed. Overall it is only the housekeeping part that is poor the rest were good.

Stylish hotel, centrally located, has a European and artsy feel, with lots of small and delightful details. Stands out for its lighting -- if you really like dark rooms with indirect lighting that you can control with many different switches, this place is for you! Every encounter with staff was perfectly warm, attentive, and professional. The place feels like a velvety cocoon, insulated from frenetic Taipei all around it.

Beware, they start cleaning up breakfast at 10:30am on the dot! No sneaking in there for one last croissant... The pool is not on site, so not very convenient. The gym is small but adequate and also lit with mood lighting.
