Breakfast is awesome with a variety of options including Western, Chinese, Taiwanese and Japanese. It also has organic choices such as various handmade juices. The living environment is comfortable. The room is spacious. The bathroom is also roomy. The staff are friendly and proactive, always ready to extend help. The location is also pivotal with nearby bus stop and youbike. The scene is also grandiose if your floor is high enough that you can view the southern part of Taipei.

There is only one entrance after 9 pm. I guess it's due to CoVid restriction but it's pretty inconvenient when you have to get out at night time. The subway is a bit distant also by walk.

Very attentive staff who looked after you from start to the end of my stay

I was charged twice for my stay - one on the original card which I used to place my reservation via booking.com and the 2nd using a different card I provided at checkout. I was told at checkout that the earlier transaction was only a holding deposit and no charges will be made to the 1st card. When I checked my credit card transactions, both cards were charged.

We had an upper floor room, the view was spectacular. The location was very good. Shopping, the mall is next door, with a nice food Court. There are local shops and restaurants within walking distance. We had dinner in the Chinese restaurant, the food was very good. We didn't know the Peking Duck was their specialty. Wish we would have known. The breakfast is fantastic do many choices. The room was spacious the bathroom was big the shower was wonderful. The bath tub was very nice. Absolutely loved the bidet. The staff were outstanding, friendly, helpful, truly 5+ stars. I highly recommend.

Amazing! Splendid hotel with the softest cloud of a bed! Comfort level at its maximum. Bathroom is luxurious. Desk is superb! And the 101 view with the mountains in the background just terrific. Add the rooftop swimming pool! Staff courteous and responsive.

The buffet dining at Café Far Eastern was such a letdown! I had really looked forward to it, having booked a table months ahead, but I was escorted to possibly the least desirable seat in the entire restaurant, stuck in a corner! The rowdy stampede of diners surely did not help the situation. Oh well, never again. At least not that buffet. I do feel terrible about adding this negative point to an otherwise excellent hotel, but it had to be pointed out.

The location is good - just a few min. walking distance from busses and metro stations. The staff is incredibly helpful and the breakfast is fantastic. The Taipei 101 view from my room (32nd floor) is absolutely stunning. Thanks for having me!

The rooftop pool offers an outstanding panoramic view of Taipei, including the 101. The price, in my view, is quite competitive compared to other luxury hotels in Asia, especially now due to the pandemic. The staff are quite attentive and considerate. I believe the dim sum at Shang Palace is also quite good by Taiwan standards. Overall a high value luxury hotel in Taipei and a nice staycation option while outbound tourism is not so convenient.

The immediate vicinity around the mall has some good restaurants but not so much shopping, compared to the Xinyi district which is about a ten minute walk away. I mostly just stayed in the hotel for my entire stay. The Shanghai pavilion restaurant has a very nice view but, in my view, a little expensive, especially for the set menu.

The room was very spacious and clean, and can be reached via a coach ride from the airport without transfers (and will literally take you to the door step). Also, it was located next to a mall, and there was a convenient store nearby, which made it very convenient to buy things. Hotel staff were quite prompt in their replies, even if it were through Booking.com app.

Some of the messages that were sent by the hotel through Booking.com didn't come with the hyperlinks attached by the hotel, not sure if this is an interfacing issue. Was quite disappointed that the hotel did not inform beforehand that the hotel spa will be closed, although they did offer a discounted massage at the health club (though the discount was not relayed to the front desk when I was checking in)

Everything was perfect. The receptionist who was from Malaysia did a great job, We were travelling with our 4 children, the staff arranged for us an interconnecting room. We've spent our 5 nights in the hotel. Thank you for the memorable stayed. :) Will return for sure. :)

Helpful staff. EZ5, a must go for chinese pop lover, is a short walk away. The many scattered food eateries, n public market nearby (not the supermarket next door) ,sells fresh fruits n good value local and japanese food. Skip the hotel breakfast!

Maybe the limited lounge food variety? but there are many food plc ard the hotel
