Staff was very responsive. When I encountered problems with ants in my room, I was quickly moved to a different room. Breakfast was really good, actually! In particular, I loved the alfalfa and pea sprouts which most places don't have and are super yummy! Plus soy milk, congee, and pretty good soups of the day! Room was SUPER clean - housekeeping did A+ job. Bathtub was clean, and while not huge the room (I got a Deluxe) was a good size for me and great value for price/location. Location was A+. Loved being so close to buses, the MRT and Daan Park! Wifi is not so great. That's why if you want to work out of this hotel they give you a Ethernet cable. Unfortunately, most Macbooks nowadays don't have Ethernet cables. :( Would need to buy an adapter if you want reliable Internet here I think. Also, loved having laundry for free in the building! As a long-term traveler, this was much appreciated. In my opinion, the cost/performance ratio of this hotel is fantastic and I'd happily stay in it long term. For context, on this trip I also stayed at the Grand Hyat and while this is obviously not 5 star it is I think up to par in terms of cleanliness and I'd be happy to stay here if I was planning a longer-term stay in Taipei.

There were a lot of ants in my first room. Staff quickly moved me to another room where there were no ants, which was good, but yeah not good. There is only one elevator, so sometimes you have to wait a long time to go up and down the hotel.

- All staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful - there was a leak in our bathroom roof but we informed reception and it was fixed by the time we returned in the evening - You can order pineapple and other pastries from a number of major brands from reception and they will arrive in 24 hours - saves time running to the shops! - Snacks and drinks in our room were all complimentary and topped up each day - Seems very kid-friendly, with a kids' play corner and kids' bibs at the breakfast area. According to the information file in our room, they have strollers and bottle sterilisers available for loan if you need those

- There's only one small lift, so it can be quite a wait - Our room was cold and I couldn't seem to adjust the aircon temperature at all. It was only on our last morning that I read the information file on our room table and realised you need to point the remote control *at the ceiling*, and there would be a beep sound if the aircon settings were successfully changed 🥲

The breakfast and service at breakfast was excellent. They had a lot of choices for food and drinks. They always had drinks available all day and snacks at night. We stayed during Christmas holiday and they had special dinners/snacks at night and activities for children. The rooms were clean and serviced well. The location was very convenient to the train station and activities, like Dongman Market and Yong Kang Street. Da'an Park is right across the street and great if you like to jog. Free laundry machines to use was a plus!

The hotel was under construction, so there wasn't a lobby. But we were allowed to use the basement restaurant area to gather. The bathroom are windows into the room. There is an opaque stripe so you can't see inside, however when the light in on, it brightens the whole room. This made it difficult to sleep when people were using the bathroom.

Fantastic hotel. I was there on a business trip for almost a week. The front-desk attendants are extremely helpful, friendly and super efficient. The rooms are also clean, organized and comfortable. Nothing to complain about. Breakfast is also very decent. They offer some traditional Chinese options as well as western food. Maybe a point for improvement would be to have some more cheese/ham options. The hotel is very well located. In front of the Daan Park (majestic place.go visit it) and less than minute from MRT (red line). Easy to reach the main station. There is also a 7-11, and subway near the hotel. this makes it very convenient. One suggestion for guests staying over the weekend, go visit the Jianguo Flower Market nearby. A very fantastic place to explore some local things and also to buy some decoration ornaments or souvenirs.

The breakfast could have some more cheese/ham options.

Fantastic location right next to subway stop exit (via stairs) and walking distance from Yongkang. Lots of good places to eat nearby too. We had the “city view” which still faces the park but at lower level. Quite pretty. Big selection of Asian style breakfast food and beverages. Creature comforts I enjoyed; ionizing hairdryer, generous bathroom size, room decor & cabinet style, windows are operable & screened, electric Japanese toilet (though no warmer), toiletries smelled great (no lotion but seems common in Taiwan), perfect pillows, free use laundry room, staff is very friendly & helpful.

More dim lighting options would be nice to have like low lights (not just night light) in both bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom light is super bright visible from the bedroom since the wall is glass. Not great for at night. The ceiling light by the door switches on every time you open it. Not great if someone else is sleeping. The bread options for breakfast could be better. It’s more of a white bread situation. Would have also appreciated some muesli or oatmeal and not just the sugary cereals. Bed was firm but bouncy.

Location was great. Breakfast had a nice selection of veggies and proteins (eggs) as well as congee. The room was clean and the staff was helpful when needed. Free laundry in building was very nice as well (3 washers and dryers). There are complimentary snacks and water in the lobby, which was great. There is also a ramp on the side of the building if you need to wheel your luggage in and out of the property.

Beds were a bit on the soft side, would've preferred a firmer bed. The room itself was small as well, so a bigger room would've been nicer. There is only 1 elevator, which made things slightly slow, so that could also be improved. It could be better noted and signed that there is a ramp on the side of the building for wheeling in luggage. It wasn't clear to me, so we ended up lifting our luggage up a few steps - not too bad, but still somewhat inconvenient if you have multiple pieces of luggage.

Very good location, near MRT and convenient stores. Short walk to the next MRT stations, Dongmen and Daan for easy transfer to other coloured lines. Plenty of good food within walking distance. Room is clean and spacious, staff are friendly and helpful. Nice spread for breakfast

Some of the food at breakfast are often mislabelled. Staff did not clear my plates as we ate so the plates started to pile up, they only cleared when we left. Clothes dryer was not very efficient, took about 2 hours to dry a small batch of clothes, resulting in a queue

Location was great as it is just next to Daan Forest Park MRT station. Across Dandy hotel, is the Daan Forest Park where you can have your morning exercise/stroll. The nice food places like Din Tai Fung, YongKang beef noodles are within 5-10 mins walking distance. Hotel provides very good breakfast and they make sure that there are new varieties each morning. We have a good park facing view room. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Although the hotel was next to a road, we could not hear the traffic noises. It was quiet enough for a good night sleep.

The room is big enough for the 3 of us to layout our luggages. The shower is nice and hot for a cold day. So close to Daan Park MRT but dont exit by 1 if you have luggages. Exit by 2 and use the traffic light to cross over. It is located just opposite Daan Forest Park and great for birdwatching. There are Youbikes for rental and we use it to ride to Taipei 101 and Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. The breakfast spread is not bad. As we have early departure flight, they are so sweet to pack sandwiches, fruits and a drink for each of us.

They are undergoing renovation although the noise did not reach our floor level. There is only one lift and you have to wait.

The room is big enough for our needs, 2 adults and a baby. Great park view outside the window. The convenient location is great. It is right beside an MRT station and a convenience store, plus 2 supermarkets and loads of restaurants nearby. The lobby lounge area is very inviting and the toilets are well-maintained.

Breakfast was the only disappointing aspect for us. They do seem to offer a good variety, but not tasty. We were surprised to find even the bread was underwhelming, and it doesn't improve much even after toasted. After all, we just stick with fruits, pork larb rice, and boiled eggs.
