The staff were nice and friendly, the breakfasts were the best I've ever had for such a small price. The location is between two famous beaches, there are many cafes and shops nearby, I will be glad if I stay there again.

The hotel needs some cosmetic repairs, but that's if you start to find fault.

The room is quite old, but everything is clean, everything works, the staff is friendly, the owner of the hotel too. The room has a refrigerator and air conditioning. Breakfasts are excellent - better than we had in a good expensive hotel. Especially pleased with the amount and variety of fruit. It's a five-minute walk to the sea. Also to the stop to leave by bus to the city center.

Sometimes they forgot to put coffee, tea or towels. But it's not a problem to ask. They don't give water either.

You got everything and total package in this resort...Your bungalow in the wood, full and fresh Oxygen, 30 seconds walking to the beach, great restaurant menu and very nice breakfast while enjoying ocean view and mounts. Pretty quiet place to sleep after visiting others hot spots during the day.... Wake up with birds singing in the first thing morning... You name it. Further more, owner and staff are friendly and very helpful. They are truly hospitality people that you would expect. The owner manages so we can have a very good deal of motorcycle rental, suggested where we should go and which spots we should visit based on his 27 years of solid experiences living in this beautiful Island. My wife and I will definitely come back Merit Hill. If you are a family, couple, single... and truly need a cool-calm resort to treat yourself, this is it.

Cozy house, hospitality of the owner, good price, chic breakfasts. Quiet location, sea view, close to the beach

I stayed 5 nights in total at Merit Hill, and I absolutely loved it! All because of the staff, in particular Oin (not sure if that’s how it’s written), she is the receptionist and the manager of the restaurant, I believe. Her kindness and lovely smile, made my staying so much better, from sending a repellent to my room, till looking after the delicious breakfast, she is just amazing! I will come back for sure!

Booked room for 1 week, after one week, extended for another week, then another week. This should give an indication how I felt about this hotel. Staff and ownership were tremendous.

It rained a few days....but then again, it was the rainy season.

I loved everything about this place except for the hill I had to walk up hehe. All the staff are amazing and friendly and the view from the restaurant is nice. Even though the rooms are a little older they are spotless.

Best deal in Pukhet. Good value for money. Private bungalow with toilet, AC, balcony, and a wonderful breakfast that is more like a brunch with everything we could desire to eat. The restaurant has the most amazing view to the sea with enjoyable breeze. The staff was always super kind and friendly, specially Leo who can speak perfectly English, being a 5 star professional, always with a smile. The place it’s quite and in some bungalows you can listen the sea. I ended staying for 3 weeks and, if I comeback to Pukhet, this is the place where I will try to stay (if they have space has they are always fully booked).

Not always the most friendly owner but I understand he has too many people to manage and it’s his way. Nobody is perfect, and it’s ok.

I really liked everything! The room was very clean, even had a little view to the ocean! The shops, restaurants and beach are very close! The buffet is theeeeeeeee most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced! The fill up everything very fast, it was always delicious, in the evening as well! The staff was very lovely and I would everybody recommend a stay here!

-The little hill, you have to walk, but for us it was a little sport exercise:) -The staff didn’t speak English very well but tried their best! -Unfortunately we’ve observed a couple of times the (we think owner) was quiet harsh to the staff.. I worked in a hotel as well.. if you got things to talk about with your staff, don’t do it in front of your guests.. that was something I absolutely hated..
