Bangkok Saran Poshtel

Located in a quiet block, with no noise from the streets nor the Khao San party area. The room was really clean and I was also surprised by how clean the shared bathrooms were. There was also a nice scient and it was never smelly. Staff was always very helpful and kind. Breakfast was a pleasure as well, I was sad to miss it for 2 days out of my 3 days stay because I really enjoyed it. The lounge area also has a nice vibe, it's not that large but I never found it busy.

I think the rooms are not very soundproof, I'm fine with a bit of noise but from my room in the first floor I could hear conversations being held at the ground floor (where the reception was), any steps from the corridor and doors being shut all the time already from very early in the morning (maybe due to other guests leaving early for checkout). I could hear even the sound from the key-card unlocking the rooms, so it was not super pleasant. I didn't really spend time in the room except for sleeping, so it wouldn't bother me much but if you're a "light" sleeper you may consider trying to get a room that is as isolated as possible (higher floors and towards the end of the corridors).

Exceptionally friendly staff. Room was clean. Good aircon. Comfortable beds. Good WiFi. Adequate breakfast. Rooms fairly small by European standards with limited storage/hanging space, but not a problem for us. 10 minute walk to ferry which stopped at many of the tourist destinations including Wat Arun, Grand Palace and gave links to metro and skytrain. Taking the last hop on/hop off ferry to watch the sunset and doing the full return journey was brilliant. Close to lively bar areas. All in all, a great stay and excellent value for money. Would definitely return.

Noise from other guests can be heard sometimes. Perhaps signage for 'Quiet time between 22:00 - 07:00" would help.

room was what we needed for one night. Beds good, own bathroom. TV available. No fridge in room but we did not require one as only there 1 night. Big fridge in foyer with free water bottles, Tea/coffee and biscuits available all day. Breakfast available - ok selection but limited to one choice.

no fridge in room - sometimes need for other food items carrying. breakfast - limited to one choice for cooked breakfast, and continental breakfast limited too. Fruit (pineapple/watermelon) available but not restocked sufficiently. Some staff's english very limited so not too helpful re sightseeing places, but our thai was limited too.

The area around the hostel was quiet and felt safe but it was only a short walk to the night markets. Another short walk to the river boat made transit through the city quick and cheap. The room was very clean and the bathroom was also kept quite clean. Breakfast was excellent with several options provided (eggs, bacon, etc). Free bottled water and tea/cookies available at all times. Staff were very friendly and able to help with booking tours and giving directions.

From a sustainability point, it would be lovely if they could provide a way to refill water bottles rather than issuing new ones. Other than that, it was perfect.

Sparkling clean room and facilities, the hotel is new and everything was comfortable. Super clean common showers and toilets. Free unlimited bottles of water at the reception were very super handy. Special note about the incredibly kind staff members who were eager to help at any minute. Lots of affordable dining and massage options in the area. 7 min walk to a pier where you can take one of the wonderful boats (Orange flag / Blue flag / Tourist boat) for a low price. Overall, fantastic value for money!

The location is not connected via metro or BTS so sometimes it was a bit of a challenge to get around. If you are into backpacker lifestyle, partying and meeting new people, this area is probably for you because the Khaosan Road is nearby. If you want to experience the modern parts of Bangkok, would recommend to stay elsewhere purely out of practical reasons. However, a new metro line is currently under construction, there will be a stop a few minutes away at some point :)

Great location, not far from the night market and bus station, also close to the river, can see some night scenery. 2.Including really good value of the breakfast buffet, simple but really worth it the price. 3.Staff really friendly and always smile, greeting to customer. 4.Provide free bottle of fresh water!! This is the best part of the hotel! Very generous. 5.Even you already check out, you can leave your luggage in the lobby for free(not over night). Really sweet for this part.

For this price not much can complain!! everything really good. However, I want to suggest they add/improve the vacuum air conditioning system in the bathroom otherwise always smell a lot humidity and can heard too much noises from outside.

We were in Bangkok for 5 days, and for these 5 days Bangkok Saran Poshtel was a home to us. My wife, my two daughters and I stayed here in Oct'22. We had taken a family room comprising of two twin beds. We reached here on a late Wednesday evening after a long day of travel that began at 5 am and involved some bad luck and stress. However, as soon as we reached this place we found comfort. Firstly, let me make it clear that this isn't a hotel in the traditional sense, but a "poshtel"  There are just a few differences between the two, and once we got comfortable with that, the stay here is really homely and pleasant thanks to the excellent staff and the front desk managers, Game and his wife.     The biggest pluses here are the front-desk/management who will happily, calmly and helpfully provide you with whatever information that you might need. Also, the rooms and the poshtel in general were spacious, always neat and clean, and catered to the convenience of the guests. There is provision for unlimited water bottles, a range of other beverages stocked and available at nominal rates, and a very good wifi connection. Tea and coffee is available in the lobby cum dining area at all times, along with biscuits. Here, I should mention that the lobby area is a very nice place to sit and relax, with bookshelves and and an overall nice decor. There also is provision for laundry, self as well as paid.     There is no in-house kitchen for all times, other than the breakfast. However, there is no dearth of options close to the hotel. The breakfast options are limited but more than cover up a range of preferences: eggs to order with accompaniment of meat and mushroom, bread, butter, jam, 3-4 juices, yoghurt, fruits, and tea/coffee/ovaltine.

Food was initially an issue because of the location (only because of our halal and/or Indian veg food constraints). However later on we could figure out options.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The location is great, right near the river and near a lot of bars and restaurants. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a decent spread for the price - don’t expect an elaborate buffet, but there was a little bit of everything. The rooms were clean and modern. There’s a fridge full of free water.

Only downside is that you couldn’t really control the shower temperature because due to the hot weather, it’s not possible to get cold weather. Having a hot shower in this weather wasn’t ideal but it’s only a small annoyance.

Perfect location, central, very convenient and in a quiet little street! I felt safe all day and night. Close enought to Khaosan and easy access to the main monuments (we did everything on foot and by bus), such as the golden mountain, the palace, etc. Super attentive staff! Simple and practical building and room, all very functional and with a shared washing machine at low cost. Great air conditioning and wifi. Something really cool: guests have access to mineral water bottles, which is amazing!

The bathroom has some odor, which we noticed is common in Thailand. We have asked for a double bed, but actually it was two single bed put together.

We stayed at the Bangkok Sarah for one night as a stop over for our long haul flight back to the UK. On arrival the stay were so friendly and as we were early for check in allowed us to leave our bags in the lobby. The room itself was clean, comfortable and had towels/hairdryer/toiletries etc. In the hotel lobby there is a fridge with access to unlimited free water during your staff, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was included in our stay, which has a wide range of choice from cooked to cold options. We were a 10 minute ride from the Eagles Nest roof top bar which we really wanted to visit during our staff (worth a visit) so this accommodation was perfect location! After check out we could also leave our bags again for the day with no extra charge, which was fantastic!
