Great location near Ari BTS, lots of good restaurants around. Breakfast was simple (no cooked food, only yoghurt fruit etc) but it was allowed to refill the plate as much as I wanted. The bed in the single room with private bathroom was comfortable and clean.

For the price I paid (38€) I think I could have gotten more value for the money elsewhere. However I wanted to stay in a hostel so I paid the premium, but still I think the price is a bit too high for what’s included.

Nice Hostel in Bangkok, close to Ari BTS station. The staff is very friendly and the rooms clean. The chill out area in the backyard is beautiful and the people quite nice.

The breakfast is good and everyday the same, which is okay. You should be able to choose your own plate though, e.g. if you don't eat yogurt then you have to take it or give it back. Our room was big and very cleverly built with the bed upstairs in maisonette style, however the interior design was not convincing to us - that may sound arrogant for a hostel review, but in our opinion you can get so much more out of this room with its high ceiling and white walls. We had the double room with bathroom and perhaps the rooms are different. That didn't affect the quality of our stay though!

It's an incredible oasis in Bangkok, the outside common area is shaded and cool which is excellent to escape the heat. There was a wonderful mix of different travelers and the owner and workers were very kind and accommodating. Great and affordable beer and cocktails at the bar. You can't go wrong with any of their food recommendations and they'll help you out with arranging transportation. The free weekend market tour was a good way to get introduced to the basics of Thai language and culture, and the guide was very fun. Can't envision myself staying anywhere else I'm Bangkok!

I loved the vibe of the place right from when I entered. The place was clean, very comfortable and in a quiet neighbourhood. Pingpong was VERY helpful and always had a smile and a recommendation for some really good restaurants, currency exchange places, shopping, etc. She also went out of her way to help me plan my travel from Chiangmai to the islands. The Yard is not located close to the touristy spots but was very easily accessible by Grab and/or the BTS. The area it is in has roadside vendors selling local delicacies to fancy restaurants as well as low budget eateries. I arrived at an ungodly hour and had place to rest in the common room as well as the common shower/wash rooms to freshen up. My room and bathroom were clean, luckily I had booked a room with a private washroom which allowed me to relax when I wanted to and interact with the lovely guests from all around the world when I wanted to be social. The AC was superb especially after a long hot day exploring the city.

- To access my bed I had to climb up a flight of stairs that didn't have any railing which would always make me feel that I would slip and hurt myself, especially when coming down in the middle of the night half asleep. - The bathroom was not designed well: whenever I would bathe, the entire bathroom floor would get wet. Also the shower curtain did not go all the way through which worsened the situation. The only place to keep my toileteries bag was above the pot at a height which I didn't use because me being the clumsy oaf that I am would have definitely dropped something in the pot. There was a large dustbin that no matter where you placed it was always in the way. - The website is not updated, the garden area no longer exists

Loved this Hostel! This neighbourhood and the vibe of this place is a haven from the business of Bangkok. There are great cafes/restaurants/street food around the place. It’s got a charming vibe, lots of trees, clean places, very new looking. The hostel itself is immersed in nature as you can see. That was such a calm to return to so if you’re a nature person go for this place! My partner and I stayed in the private room with bathroom. It was very cool, had a mezzanine layer for the bed. Whole wall is window so you have a great view of the backyard and the trees. The place was clean

The bed is comfortable but it is a mattress on the mezzanine layer, so it’s not a full bed. It’s not a problem really but I have asthma and also got a cold while I was in Bangkok so the ceiling being so close to my face made my breathing bad. I don’t think the bed is a negative unless you have asthma or need the feel of a full bed. Only other thing is they didn’t clean our room, which doesn’t really matter but I have been to hostels that make your bed and clean your bathroom daily so if you want that service then bear this in mind.

A friend recommended me this hostel in Bangkok since she had such a great time there and I couldn't agree more! This hostel is very relax and social at the same time. It is not a party hostel (which I prefer) but has a great garden area which makes it easy to chat with people. I feel like all the people visiting this hostel are nice haha, just as the staff who were all super super super friendly. There also is a inside common area to play games, chill and do your own laundry. Beds were comfortable just as the showers and toilets. I also like the area in Bangkok, it is very relax and nice

A very welcoming and friendly place in a nice neigbourhood Ari. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hostel also offers private rooms next to the dorms and a nice garden with a little bar. In the area there are many bars and restaurants and it’s relatively close to the BTS.

property is very sustainable, which is appreciated. staff was also extremely friendly and understanding to everything. i definitely appreciate how there was always staff present in case there were any questions or issues. breakfast provided was also very nice and convenient!

I understand that during the month of April is extremely hot. however, I feel that the open bathroom made it more unhygienic. there would constantly be bugs that were present, which is the last thing you want while showering or using the bathroom. and because of the Thailand heat, smells tend to linger. I feel like a good alternative would be to close the windows and have some extra form of ventilation.

Super cute hostel in a fun neighborhood (lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, plus less than 10 min to BTS Ari station). I only stayed one night, but the outdoor and indoor common areas were super chill and spacious. Great place to read a book for a while or grab beers with folks, people were really friendly (seemed like a good social vibe). The staff were awesome, they let me check out a bit late and keep my towel for a few hours to shower after check out. The included breakfast was basic but yummy, a lot of fruit with yogurt and bread. My bed was comfy with good curtains and the wifi was pretty good. Would love to stay here again but for longer!

My dorm room was a bit small. I was in a 6 bed mixed dorm and it was pretty cramped, there was very little floor space for bags. The lockers are decent sized but were a little too small for my big backpack.

The Yard is an extremely cozy experience; not something I expected to find in the middle of Bangkok. As the name implies, the buildings are set up around a central courtyard that is absolutely packed with trees, plants, and seating / lounging areas. It definitely feels like an oasis of calm in the middle of the bustling city. The rest of the hostel's concept just reinforces this. There is a drinking water refill station and a cute little board to mark how many plastic bottles were spared a trip to the landfill. The breakfast is both delicious and very sustainably sourced from local farms. Homemade yoghurt? Yes please. The staff is great. Any sensible request, they can help you with and any questions about what to do, where to eat, or what is happening culturally in Bangkok right now, they will tell you about. The private rooms themselves are basic but clean and the AC is more than capable of keeping them at your preferred temperature. The mattresses are hard by Western standards but normal for SEA. The area of Ari is full of great restaurants about a 7 minute walk away. That is also the nearest Sky Train station. If you are wavering on booking a room, do it. This place sells out constantly and I just got lucky that someone else changed their plans.

Bring mosquito spray and Tiger Balm. The downside of this little nature retreat is that there are mosquitos that come along with that.
