This is a very special facility - golden house, heavy red and gold furniture - like a historical aristocratic house. Good location in a quiet side street but within the walking distance to the city center and night market. Comfortable and very clean. The exceptional thing is the owner - the lady that is very nice, professional, helpful and generally a great person. She would help you solve any problem and advice on satisfying any needs - from renting transport to finding a shoemaker or tailor. This is an excellent experience worth all the money you pay for that hotel that also offers a very good cost-benefit ratio...

What a fantastic place and the decor in the rooms and common areas really did have a royalty look and feel, plus really friendly/helpful staff. It was only a short walk to some good restaurants, bars and the Night Bazaar. Walking Street was also only a short walk away, although it is only open on Saturday nights.

Carparking is very limited, but we didn't have any problems with getting a park durinh our stay.

Perfect location, spacious , gleaming gold intricate interiors, spotless. I would like to commend Madam Nara for going beyond my expectations. We had a rough day from having connecting flights, 1 cancellation, twice changed of time departure end up having a flight delays too. My employer and I was really famished and tired that night, and Miss Nara gave us warm delicious food immediately after checking in, knowing we are too tired from the flight. And it was not just food that she take from the hotel, she went out and bought food for us. I'm willing to pay for it but she insisted not needed. It was very kind and considerate action of her. Always smiling and ready to help with anything. I will definitely recommend this place. It's a home away from home.

Quirky but nice. The Suites are good plenty of room the air con coped just but it was hot weather. The breakfast was served not buffet as not many staying at the time. The breakfast was filling with the eggs done a different way each day. The house staff do a good job. The owner was very good with all aspects . Try to be there on a Saturday as the market was great.

Helpful and friendly staff and / or owner. The hotel let me check-in early. The room was very spacious! Also feeling homey. Location was great. Just 5 minutes (or less) from Saturday night's walking street, less than 10 minutes from the bus station and clock tower. Many restaurants and eating places are within walking distance. There are 7-11 and pharmacy nearby too. Just be aware that this is not a 5 star hotel. However, with the current price it is definitely a good value hotel to stay in Chiang Rai.

As other travellers have commented, sometimes the hot water for shower was not warm enough (even after waiting for 10 minutes). I guess probably after many other guests have used the hot water. There are some small ants in the table and in the sink of the bathroom. Other than those, everything else was great.

The staff is really friendly and welcoming. They helped us find our way to the White Temple and also recommended some places in the town. The rooms are really lovely, although we would have liked to have one bed together instead of two single beds. The location is great too, just 10 mins away from the centre and the bus terminal. The breakfast also lovely, which they got it for us earlier because of our bus booking and it was much appreciated.

The reception lady was just amazing. She helped us a lot, was always smiling and very friendly. I met a lot of nice staff all over the world, but she was simply wonderful. The hotel is somewhat extravagant and unique, so it made the experience extra fun. The breakfast had a wide variety of things, all very good. The hotel is not in a very touristic area, but in a good location, where you can experience a more local life.

There were constant problems with the wifi, the internet was very slow. The water in shower took a lot of time to get warm.

Nakaraj will get full marks on creativity. It is an ordinary house that has been transformed into a palace. The room was grand, and every aspect of it looked royal. The head staff was super helpful, and I am grateful to her for arranging the tours, breakfast and transport. She was kind to offer us a ride to the night market.

1) The team seems to be short-staffed since I noticed the head staff managing everything. 2) The staff can put more effort into cleanliness. I noticed a spider in our bathroom and mosquitoes in our bedroom. 3) I was concerned about the lack of a security guard on the premise. Before we went for tours, we were supposed to hand over the keys at the reception. Understandably, the receptionist can't guard the reception area all the time. Even though there was no breach of security, it would give me peace of mind if we knew that a guard was present 24/7. 4) The hotel can provide dinner options since we have to walk quite far for food. Since it gets dark quite fast during winter, we would prefer if there were dinner arrangements within the hotel.

The only thing, which I noticed and what I didn’t like, was very dry air inside room. It’s probably caused by the air-condition. However, I solved it that I had open window time to time.

We arrived early and were able to go to our room immediately, the room was immaculate and we were in awe at the detail that went into the look and feel of the place. Apart from feeling like royalty it also makes you feel like you are in a temple as we visited quite a few and couldn’t help but compare. The area is so peaceful and adds to the ambience of the hotel.
