The host was very sweet and helpful (but doesn't speak much english), and the hotel was good value for money. It was nice it was a family run place. The host gave us some lovely flowers as it was our honeymoon. The location was excellent - within walking distance to the town centre, walking street, night market, bus station etc. It was all clean and just like the photos, and everything worked as it should've done.

We were in the ground floor bedroom with 4 single beds - everything worked fine but it wasn't an inspiring room (the host kindly sent a message to say that it wasn't the room that people expect from the photos (of course there is all the information about the room available, but apparently people assume it's one of the nicer wooden rooms, which it wasn't). The ensuite was basic without much space to put toiletries etc, but it all worked fine. The room was on the ground floor right by the breakfast area, so had to keep the curtains closed and lights on to have privacy.

It's seemed to live with a local family! The accommodation is an ancient wooden house and the family who runs the place is still living there so it's a very local experience that I would definitely recommend. Rooms are nice with all amenities and the bed was just amazing! A must try is the pork that they made for breakfast, it's from an old receipe and very particular. Besides this, they have many varieties for breakfast. You can also rent motorbike and the host is helpful if you want to take part on an organized tour. Moreover, free wash maschine! I appreciated also the little second hand market and they attention for the environment.

You can hear the other people in the house as it's a wooden house but there are not too many rooms so it's not a problem.

Host is nice and helpful, breakfast in the mornings was much appreciated. This place is a few minutes walk to the night walking market and a short car ride to the blue temple. They’ll service the room each day if you’d like and include 2 bottles of water per day.

Not a big deal but maybe worth mentioning - the rooms are made of a dark wood so they look / feel much darker than in the photos. But with the window, you get some natural light which helps. I also didn’t get much hot water in the shower.

We loved everything about it. We think it's a great place to stay if you'd like some quiet or are ending your trip in Thailand. It was so peaceful. The staff consist of a family, and are delightful and helpful. Their breakfast is quiet delicious as well. People mentioned how you can hear everything, but I think because you're aware of that it makes it tranquil. a few mentioned the bathroom as well being detached and shared, that was not an issue for us and they remain clean and aired. We also loved that you could do your own laundry or they could do it for you for a fee. Everything was pleasant and reasonable. Our stay was only 1.5 days. We wished and could've easily stayed for a week.

We were family of 4 and the room was nice and big with ensuite. Breakfast área just outside the room. They had a menu and freshly made the breakfast. excellent value. Área a bit quiet. we only had two nights. first night late and nothing open nearby but got some street food which was sufficient.

Beds a little hard but seems to be thw norm

This is a very authentic guesthouse. The bed was very comfortable. The shower worked very well (with hot water). They clean the room every day if you wish (they ask always). They rent a scooter for 200 Baht.

It‘s a bit outside from the clocktower area. You have to walk always a bit or take the Scooter. But most of the must-see temple are far from Chiang Rai City, so the location from the Guesthouse is not really a problem.

The room was clean, plenty of water and coffee were supplied as well as quality toiletries! we were able to rent a scooter from the hotel and the even let us extend our use without extra charge. breakfast was included each morning and was incredible, my husband won’t stop talking about the cheesy egg over rice! Highly recommend staying here!!

The staff was very nice. We arrived earlier than expected but they let us leave our pieces of luggage so that we could enjoy the first part of the day freely. I usually enjoy a sweet breakfast so I was happy to find yogurt and fruit among the options.

We liked everything.

Very close to the main area of the city. Old Thai family home converted into a guesthouse, with local designs and feel. Very friendly family who run the accommodation.

Noise travelled easily between rooms. However they were in the process of adding sound proofing

- beautiful and unique Thai-style wooden house. Such a privilege to stay in it. - family run - the room itself was beautiful and comfortable and so clean - bathroom is modern and shower is excellent pressure!

we loved everything about it! for the noise sensitive bring ear plugs.
