Check-in and Check-out process handled by K.Bow was super easy and cordial. Breakfast spread is good. Dinner with live music, fire show and also vegetarian options for Lunch & dinner was commendable. The travel office for tours just besides the hotel managed by K.AO is very helpful with information and with lots of options of day tours and also for rental bikes.cars etc. The pool, beach ,location everything was good !

The stay could have been excellent from good if they could have taken care of the following two basic things (1) the path leading to our villas was really slippery and my husband also had a fall . Given that the staff knew about it no one did anything (like scrub out the slippery moss or clean ) especially given that it is a rainy season it should have been taken care of (2) Removal/Clearing of food plates post eating both in the room and at the dining area had to be reminded several times.

The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were very comfortable. The double beds were big and I had some great sleeps. I also love the different pool options and the great view of the beach. It is also in a great location and easy walking distance to restaurants.

I think that the rooms and pools need some fresh paint as I noticed that things were starting to show some wear and tear. As well, it's so frustrating that all the pool/beach chairs are claimed before 8am and it's impossible to get ocean view lounge chairs without getting up super early. I think that this practice of claiming chairs but not sitting on them for hours should not be allowed.

The hotel is very nice and located at the start of Koh Chang. The pool area is very nice and the breakfast offers a good variety but still not a 5 star level. We had to change our room as the first room had a strong moist smell.

- no cheese in breakfast - do not offer a buffet option for dinner - the floor of our room was always wet if the AC was kept at 23+ degrees. Otherwise everything becomes wet (mirror, TV, floor, furniture). - Our room was on the hillside (other side of the road), so everytime you have to cross the road

Friendly staff. Good location. 3 nice pools

Our room was separated by only a door to the next room. It was not soundproof. Shouldn't rent the rooms out as 2 separate rooms like that. The hotel needs a small face lift to call itself a 5 star hotel. I would rate it 4 star.

Reception staff and bellboys were very friendly and welcoming. Also the cleaning staff. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was allright nothing special. Bacon was somehow tasteless. Eggs Benedict Tom Yam was nice. A lot of choice. Thai food was really great (massaman curry you have to try, if they have it, even though it's breakfast). We once had food in the hotel for lunch on our last day and it was surprisingly good! Loved the Tamarind sauce prawns and the fried squid. French fries were also nice. Happy hour cocktails aren't worth it (also not clear when it's happy hour). Small glasses and have to buy 2 and get one free. Better is to try the KC secret cocktail for the full price and double size the glass. Beach was pretty (for Koh Chang). If you want really pretty beaches go to Koh Phi Phi (high prices) or Koh Larn (most people aren't as friendly). If you are looking for very nice people and a tropical beach jungle feel Koh Chang is the Island for you. Many people aren't sure to choose KC or Centara I've seen in my research. So we stayed 4 nights at KC and 6 at Centara. We still don't like which one we like best even though not the same. Because they both score good on different things: Breakfast is flavourwise better at Centara for foreign food. For Thai food it's the other way around (I'm a good judge as I've spend over 7 years in Thailand). Lunch / dinner is a lot better at KC. Organisationwise (management wise) KC is way better than Centara. Very calm and pretty nature at Centara with huge green spaces but a prettier beach at KC. Location of KC is closer to 7eleven (next door) and some restaurants that are fine but not great, bars and laundry places. Massages around KC arent great. Best to have a beach massage at the hotel. Its worth the double price. Cosy feel. At Centara you have to walk about 7 minutes before you hit the big main road.

Restaurant and bar staff could be a bit more outgoing and friendly.

Excellent location, great beach and very clear and clean sea water. The room and bathroom were sizeable, pleasantly decorated. The bed was wonderful. Super super king size. Breakfast became a little boring after some days.

What really disturbed to us is that at 07:30 in the morning 90% of the beach chairs at the main swimming pool near the sea were already occupied by towels, NOT PEOPLE. Some people only arrived at these chairs around 11 in the morning. Result of this practice is that people who come later to the pool/sea on the first day, they have no chance to get a chair. The hotel really should take action against these practices as it is really annoying and spoils the wonderful feeling you have about the great hotel, location, staff etc.

All staff were kind and serviceminded. Best part of the beach. Great villa. Nice breakfast. The hotel restaurant, although on the pricier side, was excellent. Beach massage was great. Clean. Calm, relaxed vibe.

The villas are very different in terms of location. So it’s a lottery if you for example will have a blocked view or not. Almost impossible to get a sunbed by the main pool/beach thanks to people waking up at 7am to ”reserve” a sunbed for the whole day…

very lovely location , the best part of all beaches in Koh Chang even I explored all , the garden villa was excellent , people take care everyday the room and the place generally, the matress very comfortable and the ac without noisy which is common in Thailand , the breakfast was gorgeous with a lot of variations and huge buffet , the staff was real very friendly and not fake. if I will be back to koh Chang I will book the same hotel for sure even it’s overpriced

I didn’t like the story with the sun beds , I think the amount of the sun beds is 15% compare with the guests that could host the hotel, so if you need to enjoy the sun with sun beds should put alarm on 07:00 to put your towels for reserved, many people put the towels and never stay on the sun bed , this is unacceptable for a 5 stars resort to be out of the control , the second issue was the soundproof on my villa , there was a locked door between 2 villas and you could listen enything from the “neighbors” , I think they have for connected the houses for a big company but it’s not good solution , that was annoying The hill building need renovation and fortunately I didn’t book there

Fitness club, pool, breakfasts, staff, parking

Too many people are reserving pool & beach chairs all day long - but never using them.(or only for a very short time), without removing thier towels when they leave for an extended time - not fair!!!. Please remove towels from chairs after 1 hour of not being used.

location excellent in a very lush property. It was great with so many pool ( 4) so people could spread out and the pools won’t be overcrowded! Easy acces to beach, basically you can just live in your bathing suit all day. We stayed at the Villas with interconnecting room at first but was moved after the first night because some ants problem after the rain. The other Villa we were moved to was almost an upgrade. It was one Villa away from beach, we got two Villas instead of interconnecting. Breakfast was the best I have ever had anywhere in the world BUT one thing I don’t like was that I wasn’t able to bring some extra food back to the room for my 10 month old baby.

Not allowing to bring some food back to the room for my son of 10 month old for later. The Island has very limited baby food (which we weren’t aware of) in generel and this was a great opportunity to have some food for my son to eat for lunch since they served none of what they serve for breakfast for the rest of the day! This is a minus especially since we pay a decent amount of money to stay here.
