Very friendly staff Close to the fantastic Kantiang Bay and My Ko Lanta National Park Breakfast is good and there is a nice view from the restaurant The room itself is also very nice and we really enjoyed staying here!

Not a bad thing because the view at the top is great, but keep in mind there are a few stairs to climb to get to parts of the resort (e.g. if you're old or unfit)

Alama is a beautiful resort with a local feel overlooking Kantiang bay. We loved our stay here…it felt luxurious but totally Thai. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the location is right across the road from a peaceful beach bay. Paradise! The pool was a great oasis after the sea. We would totally recommend it.

It was all great. The breakfast was simple but totally ok.

The rooms are a generous size and with all the facilities you would expect to see, with authentic Thai design. Every member of staff we came across were extremely friendly and courteous. The pool/bar/breakfast area has a fantastic view of the sea, nearby beach as well as the lush green canopy of trees in which the hotel is located. Everything was clean and felt very hygienic. Everything you would want from this kind of hotel!

There was very little to not like about this hotel, but the only thing I could say is the breakfast feels slightly limited, although it was certainly adequate and wouldn't stop me coming here again!

Our hilltop villa had a very nice view of the valley and beach, the set-up of the villa is basically like two separate rooms connected by an outdoor stairs + a nice veranda / balcony in between. In the end everything was nice and because of not many tourists it was also quiet. In walking distance there are several good restaurants and the beautiful Ba Kan Tieng beach.

There's no beer on sale in this Resort, so all of the dining we did outside and for filling the fridge with beer there's a 7/11 close by. When arriving the front desk clerk was probably tired, as she was a bit moody, they charge a 3% extra tax for credit card payment and wanted to charge breakfast for a 3 year old child - although their policy clearly says that children that young eat for free (makes sense, as they don't really eat). Then we got charged for an extra bed... this all after 3-4 hours of travel was not the welcome we expected.

Love this place, very good location with short walking distance to the beach and shops/ restaurants. It has very relaxing chill vibe, very quiet. The outdoor space is amazing, very clean and with beautiful smell of the flowers. The breakfast bar and pool have killer views. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, whatever you need they will be very happy to help you. I’ve booked this place as my last stop in Thailand with the purpose of relaxing and it was a great choice.

Wow this resort is located in such a stunning, peaceful spot. Nestled up on a hill with the most spectacular views of the stretch of coast and falcons soaring above your head. The infinity pool and the views were just incredible. The resort is on the main street, with plenty of restaurants and minutes to the beach. The staff were lovely and food was delicious and really cheap, so we ate by the pool lots. Our kids loved patting the cats and seeing the monkeys in the surrounding jungle. We highly recommend staying in this resort if you are after peace and quiet, family time, reading a book and if you love beautiful views. We loved staying in the bungalow at the very top of the resort.

We suggest a pull down shutter or piece of material to pull down between the two top bungalows to create more privacy. This would be really easy to do and guests would like more privacy from their neighbours. A coffee machine that make milk lattes would make breakfast perfect. Thanks for having us in your slice of heaven. It was just what our family needed to unwind.

The rooms are FALSELY ADVERTISED. BE CAREFUL. I wanted the nicest room and through the pictures, chose "ONE BEDROOM VILLA." What we got were the pictures identical to the cheaper "SUITE WITH GARDEN ViEW". I was shown another room that was in fact a 'one bedroom villa,' and it was quite different than what I got. Staff said we got what we ordered. The pictures are clearly showing this to be wrong

Definitely not very eco-friendly, instead of having big bottle for guest to fill their bottles they use small single use plastic bottles, which produce tones of plastic Also, we didn't request new towels as we stayed for a week and we believe if you're reasonable and respectful one towel for one week should be efficient, yet they were delivering fresh towels every day to our room even if every day we were returning them with advise this was not necessary. They want to have the feel of luxury resort providing cleaning and fresh towels/linen every day but I think this is very irresponsible and not ecological. :(

EVERYTHING! The location was beautiful. The staff were incredible all round. The manager on the front desk could not have been more accommodating and we love her!! They helped book all of our travel to our next destination. We were able to rent a scooter from the hotel for 250 baht a day and it made our time at Koh Lanta so good. We saw everything! We also booked on for an extra night because we loved it so much and the staff made sure we could stay in the same room. The rooms also have a lounge area in each villa which was so good! We hung out and relaxed in the hammock and cushions. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here!

Location was perfect, walking distance from the beach. The staff was extremely nice, they were super kind and took the time to make us feel very welcome and aid us with whatever we needed. We booked some activities through the hotel and they were informed and shared all the information for us to make our decisions. The room was big, the finishes and furnishing made it comfortable and fitting to the setup. We didn’t try the restaurant or breakfast service since we were out a lot. The stay exceeded our expectations.

Restaurant service around the pool could have a better setup and trained English speaking staff. The waiters were very sweet and made their best to help us, in spite of the language barrier.
