Great location with 2 pools & right on the beach. Staff in the restaurant & beach bar were so friendly & welcoming. Room was nice although the shower area could do with a spruce up.

The bed was like sleeping on concrete. I asked for a topper so they promptly put this on our bed which added extra comfort. What I didn’t like was the fact the sheets were hung over the veranda while this was done & they got dirt on them so we were charged 1000 baht for this. They advised the sheets were ruined & couldn’t be cleaned, yet refused to give it to me upon payment. This was a complete joke & ruined our stay here. We spent so much money in the restaurant, swim up bar & beach restaurant & they refused to take responsibility

The location is very good. You can walk easy to a lot of places. There are a lot of places to eat and the mall is closeby. The staff are nice and polite. In the reviews from other people you can read about the noise from the arkbar. I think you have to be lucky with the location of your room. I had roomnumber C11 and I didn’t hear the noise from the bar. Only sound are from the airplanes.

The beds are firm but this is in every place in Thailand. People will reserve their sunbeds with a towel very early in the morning but aren’t at their sunbeds for most of the day. This issue you also have at every resort with a pool or beach.

Staff, hotel vibe, space, thai style, not cramped like a lot of modern resorts but good facilities. Very good value for money, decent breakfast again for budget. The owner who is quite elderly is still very friendly, hands on and chats to the guests and it shows in her staff attitude, helpfulness they are or are like family. They learned from a wise person who invested a lifetime in a lovely hotel

Sadly ARK Bar has moved next door, noise is mostly tolerable am sure the owners are doing their best to mitigate and control, but being Thailand and the live and let live vibe it can be difficult for people staying on that side of the resort. Just a personal issue I hate really hard beds and really struggled with this. It is a common problem in Thailand and for some this could be a major sleep issue. One room key in this day and age is annoying but again a small thing

Grand Bungalow was very nicely appointed. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was fabulous. This is probably the most lovely resort on Chaweng Beach, and it really is a Garden. The pool is very nice, as are the lounge chairs around the beach and pool. Our room was about 50 steps from the ocean. Great swimming in very clean water.

There is some noise from the adjacent beach club that goes till about midnight on weekdays and 3am on weekends. The hotel asked if we wanted a quieter room, but the noise wasn't enough to make us want to downgrade. There is an aroma from septic tanks that seems to hover around the NE corner of the resort, including the site of our bungalow. There is a bit of feeding frenzy to claim beach lounges in the morning as there appear to not quite be enough of them for all the guests. There is a lot of public smoking, which is especially annoying in the somewhat close quarters of beach lounges. We did not see any designated no smoking areas.

Beautiful older resort with lots of solid wood furnishings. A lot of extra touches went into making a stay here extra nice. Excellent staff, always pleasant and helpful. Rooms were a good size with everything you need. Beds were extra firm but I found them super comfy. Balcony was huge and nicely furnished. Lots of English speaking TV channels. Plenty of loungers on the beach and around the two pools. Breakfast was ample and well presented. Beach is stunning. A few minor things could use modernizing (i.e., room keys, etc.) but nothing major. If you want to be in the middle of the action in Chaweng you can't pick a better hotel/resort. If you want quiet nights, look elsewhere. I can't wait to return.

Right on the swimming beach

Location, close to beach and beach clubs and close to bars, shops, gyms etc. Good beach, great staff, lush resort.

The sand walkways are so so but works as you can rinse of your feet from the clay barrels with water next to your door. Hardest bed I've ever felt but we did sleep ok in it anyways to be honest. For older people the sound from Ark bar can probably be quite annoying. They should touch up the pool area deck and loungers a bit and make it neater overall to make it feel a bit less worn out. Several days we were without hot water and it was hit and miss most days where it was tricky to get a good temp.

This property is fantastic. Such a beautiful place and in a glorious setting. I really enjoyed my stay here. The security at night is excellent and guards always looking out for your safety. Restaurant food is excellent and would recommend it. Good motorbike parking too. Their are umbrellas in your rooms to use on the rainy days which was a nice thought. Location is right opposite the main night life area but far enough away from the noise. The reception area is huge and polite staff always on hand. This has got to be one of my favourite places to stay in Thailand. I will be staying here again.. Definitely.

Nothing I didn't like. It was superb. Don't worry about noise from local bars, you won't hear it, also planes taking off, nice to look at but not an issue, however they may start from 7am but are not that frequent.

We stayed at this resort hotel for a week in a poolside room. We really enjoyed our stay, the room was wonderful. The AC worked well, the bathroom was nice, and our beds were as comfortable as all Thai beds seem to be (a little hard). We enjoyed the two pools, and the beach was lovely. We ate breakfast at the resort every morning and it was exceptional with a lot of choices to keep my family happy. We absolutely loved the location right on Chaweng, my husband called it the Las Vegas of Koh Samui. You walk right out onto a busy and bustling street with a lot of restaurants, shopping, and fun things to see and do. We weren't impacted by any noise even though it was quite loud when on the street. I would absolutely stay here again.

The resort is *very* close to the airport so the airplanes overhead are possibly the most disruptive thing we have ever experienced on a relaxing vacation. They are about 100 m overhead, while you are relaxing at the pool and sound as though they may be landing on the pool at any moment. There were dozens a day while we were there and it was impossible to not be distracted by them. We would still stay there again but if you are sensitive to giant planes screeching overhead many times a day then rethink the hotels along this strip.

Great breakfast as menu changes everyday. Beautiful and clean beach and near to the center of chaweng. Staff was polite and helpful when needed. We had a problem with the safety box and the staff came to fix it very quickly.

Lots of mosquitoes and can't even spend time on the balcony.without getting mosquito bites. Had to put ear plugs to sleep due to airport proximity.
