U Samui is a clean, modern hotel for people who are interested in a chill, relaxing holiday. Everything is really clean and the staff are exceptional. It is directly opposite a supermarket, motorbikes rental and a few street food stalls, and it is only 10 min by car from the airport.

Not that it bothered us, but planes fly over directly over the hotel when landing/taking off, so it might be a bit loud. On Thursday evening, the beer bar across the street was blasting really loud music, but they stopped at midnight sharp - not that this is the hotel’s fault, but if you are a light sleeper, make sure to bring earplugs.

We really enjoyed our stay at U Samui. At this price point, this is one of the better Hotels in Ko Samui. The beachfront sitting area was brilliant - we were there every evening. It was really cool seeing airplanes land at the nearby airport. The hotel has almost all the facilities one can think of (gym, swimming pool, concierge, restaurant etc).- really good!

The area has a little problem with mosquitoes. I understand, it is a tropical island, there is bound to be insects. However, when we checked-in, there were quite a few in our room. The gym area also had mosquitoes - if the staff takes care of this, this hotel would get even better. The room we got looked in to the neighbor's house. Pro-Tip : make sure you book a room in the block which directly overlooks the sea/swimming pool area.

We were upgraded and given a sea view room - thanks for that. The employees are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is very tasty and has a great selection. The beach isn't the prettiest (small harbor), but it was still ok. The pool and the loungers are very stylishly furnished. The hotel offers direct motorbike rentals, which is very convenient and next door it has a self-laundry (Otteri Wash & Dry) which is very convenient.

In the middle of the night there is a strong odor coming from the sewers, this can be uncomfortable depending on sitting outside.

The hotel is so nice, the rooms are gorgeous and fairly modern - we got upgraded to the sea view room and it was beautiful. The hotel itself is not too big so it isn't too crowded. Breakfast was yum

People leave their towels on the sun loungers and hog it for the whole day while they are not there - should be monitored by staff. They say 24 hour use of the room (check out when you check in) but they were calling us multiple times trying to get us to leave earlier which is not right

I loved the place! It was convenient for everything & anything you need is right there. It’s about a 10 min walk from the Big Bhudda

The staff could clean better. Under my bed was disgusting. They’re also not very accommodating at breakfast. They’ll literally stare at you when asking to bring something. The food options are great though. They say there’s no check out time & you have the room for 24 hours of all the days you book but this isn’t true. They rushed us out of our rooms

Absolutely fabulous stay. We were in the lower level pool villa with beachfront access. Absolutely perfect to have a small pool to yourself. Even though it is a public beach, it is a quiet part of the island so you essentially have it to yourself. Also a cute swing was attached to a palm tree in front of the villa. The room itself is lovely with a Queen bed, TV with YouTube, lovely bamboo and wooden furniture and a clean modern bathroom. Room service was brilliant and they have an app covering your every need. However even if you are in one of the main hotel rooms, those rooms also looked nice and the hotel does not feel too busy. You can always get a sun lounger and the main infinity pool is empty. We drove a car there and there is limited parking space but also lots of space on the road if required. The highlight was the lovely security guard who helps you park and helps you cross the road. The breakfast was also brilliant with a good range of Western and Eastern cuisine. The location is also brilliant. There are nice small restaurants right near the Property but it is not rowdy at all at night. Also massage parlours and small shops nearby, including a 24 hours 7-Eleven which was very handy. It is also only 5 minutes drive from the airport which some people may not like but the planes are very infrequent. You are also 10 mins walk from The Big Buddha. You are also close to Fisherman’s Village and a lot of the water excursions. Highly recommended.

Style over substance. The property didn’t have much to it. it tries to be modern but loses the authentic Thai charm with it. You could be at a hotel in Europe. Beach isn’t very nice there. Very noisy with the planes. Okay for a short stay but not a long time.

The staff was simply AMAZING. Special thanks to Kang, the housekeeping supervisor, for bringing my laptop charger to the airport which I forgot in my room! She came in a hurry to the security gate just before my flight departured! I'm so grateful for that! The staff at the bar was also super friendly, and the check-in experience has been the best out of all the thai five star hotels we've had so far. Upon arrival we got an upgrade to a pool access room, a 500 THB voucher for the restaurant/bar, and many little coupons with discounts for food, drinks, BBQ, and more. We also got 15% discount on all the food because we had a long stay (10 nights). Very nice concept! The hotel itself is brand new, only just opened its doors in December. It's a beautiful hotel and everything feels new, from the decor to the pool to the rooms, really a unique experience! The infinity pool is amazing and the bar/restaurant is really nice too, it has Hawaiian theme. The beach is not the prettiest, but still OK to swim in and has very nice view to Koh Phangan and the Big Buddha. There are a lot of beautiful beaches in the area though, just rent a scooter/motorbike, the reception will gladly help you. All in all this hotel was absolutely amazing and the 11 days went by very quick. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful relaxed luxury hotel with the best staff in the world! We will come back next year :)

The restaurant/bar charges 10% service fee and 7% government tax, which makes the cocktails quite expensive! 17% really adds up to an already pricey cocktail. However, there is happy hour between 4 and 6 so that helps. The first couple of days there was a lot of construction going on next to the hotel, with a lot of drilling and hammering early in the morning which was quite annoying as it woke me up a few times. However, this is not really the hotel's fault.

The service at this hotel was phenomenal. Thank you to the extremely helpful and friendly staff! I got an upgrade and had a room with direct access to the pool which was very nice! The room amenities were spacious and inviting. I had only booked for 24 hours, however I enjoyed the time very much. I would definitely recommend the hotel (if you are willing to spend a little more)! The in-room food was also delivered quickly and was delicious. I was very satisfied overall.

Breakfast could be offered a little longer and have more options for vegans ;)

Hotel’s location is not very satisfying, the beach front is calm and view is not as what we expected from koh Saumi . There was an electrical maintenance day , the electricity was off from 8am to 6 pm
