The Sofitel's service and facilities are probably the best in Krabi. The staff are extremely professional and went well out of their way to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. The pool is definitely the property's most impressive facility. According to their marketing, it is the largest free-from pool in Thailand (or maybe just Krabi), but it is quite impressive, and the pool-side bar service was extremely attentive. The club lounge is also a pleasant facility and made our stay even more enjoyable.

The main thing to note about the Sofitel is that while it is technically "beachfront", getting to the beach requires walking across the lawn and crossing a road to what amounts to a not particularly impressive beach. This is why the pool is the main attraction at this property. It's also why you may not want to bother with an ocean view room. The modest traffic on the road wasn't noisy during our stay, but it also doesn't provide quite the picturesque view that you might expect.

The hotel is very luxurious. It's so spacious and the pool is one of a kind. The staff are so kind and friendly, and the bar in the evening with live music is great fun. The location is great for a quiet and relaxing getaway, with the beach quite literally a few steps away. The breakfast was amazing! Such a variety! There are lots of places to eat if you walk down the road, so you're not subjected to only eating at the hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The hotel is a little outdated, it could do with some paint in areas. The pool water was almost too hot (but this is not a fault of the hotel), we just happened to be there during a heatwave, but might want to bear it in mind.

The hotel is just AMAZING. The staff in the lobby, the cleaning staff, the dinning room and the restaurants' personnel treat the guest as kings! The pool in huge, everything is so clean, breakfast is great, the Venezian restaurant is the best! Especial thanks to the amazing people who made our vacation PERFECT - Ma, Ging, Tar Naf, Peemai. The room was enormous, well equiped and super clean. When we left the Venezian restaurant staff prepared a fruit bowl with a beautiful "Farewell greeting". The lady in charge of the dinning room prepared a bag with croissants for my son because he didn't reach breakfast. We felt at home...

Prices are very very expensive inside the hotel. Like 20x the prices outside the hotel.

It is hard to find a taxi in this area and it was a little far from the city

This has been our third visit to the Sofitel Krabi. We discovered this fantastic hotel through a search for the longest warm-water pools in the world. Simply for the pool inaugurated by the princess, it is worth returning there. Additionally, we are lovers of hotels with architectural and colonial interior design. We have become the most loyal customers of the Indian restaurant, where we established a very friendly relationship with Chef Mohabir, Restaurant Manager Ms. Kuhn Sao, and the team members Ms. Pahn, Ankit, Janak, Jib, Jan, and Maj, who served us with unparalleled professionalism and kindness, delighting our palates at every dinner. Feeling at ease is generated through the five senses: • Sight: The hotel offers much beauty to behold. • Smell: The plants and deep cleanliness delighted our sense of smell. • Taste: The chef Mohabir’s specialties are exceptional. • Touch: The skeletal-muscular system is cared for by professionals in one of Thailand’s best spas, where soothing music and skilled hands induce peace of spirit. However, unfortunately, as I mentioned and criticized in my text from last year, it is precisely the sense of hearing that suffers the most—indeed, it is mortified in this hotel. This compels me to refrain from giving the hotel the maximum stars in my rating. I propose an analysis by management regarding this matter. Once we leave the spa, speakers placed in the lobby or garden at various times fill the air with jarring sounds dominated by bass components, either to celebrate or to accompany social activities for children by the pool. I consider the high volume harmful to children’s eardrums and unbearable for mature guests like us who come to relax. In summary, a formidable vacation hotel experience! Best regards, Kuhn Egon

Facilities and the Thai restaurant. I definitely will come back for the food, was outstanding nicely cooked with a soft att to details. The prawns are cooked to perfection and you can feel it . The indian restaurant is also a very good one, silky curry with a nice choice of rice .

The payment method are catastrophic. We lost our credit card and we had a problem paying the hotel. Wether i understand the Visa is preferred i dont get the reservation system, and afterwords if you do not physically have the card you have to repay the whole amount and the money which were initially reserved will be available in 1 month. I feel that the hotel is benefiting as well as the bank, but the system overall is crap ! And btw what is this deposit stuff ? As a 4 Star luxury hotel and the overprice which your customer are paying is it necessary all the shabam ( reservations deposit ) just take the money and stop asking for deposits. Or customize and show some empathy for the one which were unlucky and already ruin their vacation because of the stupid credit card….

The pool is gigantic, and the kids loved the floating obstacle path. Breakfast has a great selection and we all ate too much every morning :). Facilities are in good condition and we loved to be able to drop off the kids at the kids club for an hour here and there.

Bar prices are too high. I would have consumed more if prices would have been a bit more reasonable

We loved everything, the rooms, the pool, the food, the cleanliness, entertainment, afternoon bar and snacks, the staff, Christmas Eve dinner and party, the golf course, kids club area, opposite the beach, easy access to taxi’s, top washing service and attention to detail on every level and breakfast buffet exceptional!! Plus amazing with my son who has major food allergies. Thank you !!

The varnishing and painting of the rooms nearby as the fumes went into our rooms and really toxic smell, which meant my daughter and grandchild had to move to another room further away from ours in the end, her husband had a severe skin reaction.. really not a good thing to have to experience whilst on holiday. Lots of broken glass on the beach opposite hotel, such a shame as it’s such a lovely beach. Paying for pool towels when going out for the day, I think putting a deposit on them is more acceptable than having to pay to loan them, I’ve never had to do that before and don’t really agree with it. I don't know where to begin... this hotel was absolutely FABULOUS! The staff, the food at the Venice restaurant, the room that opened out to the amazing pool, the view, the lounge and lounge staff who were always so welcoming, the spa.. I could go on forever! I would like to give special thanks to the wonderful woman at guest relations- she was so very helpful with our ferry plans and really saved the day. We took excursions from the hotel- they were also lovely- Enjoyed it all! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Facilities and staff were top notch. I greatly appreciated the massive pool and the whole suite of activities they offered for both kids and adults. My son enjoyed the pizza-making and t-shirt tie dyeing classes they had. He also thoroughly loved the pool (especially the wibit) and a paddleboard session. The hotel also offers a good range of outdoor activities and excursions. We enjoyed our sunset cruise on their speedboat which included stops at two islands. We also really enjoyed the seaside restaurants near the hotel, which were a few minutes’ walk or ride away.

It’s not connected to the beach. The beach is separated from the hotel by a road. As such it is not a private beach and there are no lounge chairs or facilities on the beach.
