Wonderful place to stay in an excellent location. Extremely helpful manager and always someone available at front desk. Bungalow was spacious, bed was comfortable and there is a private deck to sit on in the garden-like surroundings. Fresh fruit was delivered to the deck each morning - yum. Room had a fridge which was great. Beer, coke etc available on site. Also breakfast if you want it. Location is excellent. 2 min walk to one of the wats and 4 min to Wat Mahatat, (the one with Buddha in the tree). There's a great cafe next door, markets and other cafes within 3 min walk, and a couple of blocks to the night market. Bikes for hire. Quiet location, heard only the birds in our 4 night stay. Highly recommend.

Nothing to dislike.

We like the set up with the individual Bungalows. We like the small but nice porches where you can sit outside for breakfast coffee or after a long day discovering the city. The location is more than perfect opposite of the two main temples. The staff/ owner are really sweet and sufficient in English to answer any questions.

The only thing which is sad is the noise from the bar/ discotheque across the street. The stop at 1:00 at night. But this is to no fault to the Baan Kong folks.

The location is absolutely awesome. We arrived at night from Bangkok and the neighborhood looked a bit sketchy. But the cabins are just a treat and the staff super friendly. We ended up going out that night for a little walk to the night market, took pictures of the Wat all lit up at night. It was just magical. Didn't feel unsafe at all. The next morning we woke up to 2 bottles of water and a fresh, unpeeled, piece of fruit on each balcony. The kids loved the fresh fruit, especially the day she brought Dragon fruit. We were a family of 6 (3 kids and Grandma). We got adjacent rooms and each took one kid, as their cabins are all double beds. I especially loved the liberty to just walk 2 blocks and be in the middle of the ruins. Grandma got tired and hot, so no problem. 2 blocks and she's back in the air-conditioning. The Western breakfast was also a nice touch. If you want something a little more familiar, they have a bacon and eggs style breakfast. Grandma and the kids enjoyed it. I went to one of the local Thai places a block away. I was looking for a more authentic experience for the kids. Something not like a cookie cutter hotel room in Bangkok. This was exactly what I got. And the Thai family that takes care of it we're super nice!

The houses are traditional Thai houses on stilts, just like they have by the river. They are beautiful, but a bit creaky. I didn't care, but grandma noticed. Also the bathrooms are not in the air-conditioning. Again, I didn't mind, but grandma noticed =)

I’m staying here with 13 year old and 6 year old. Area simple and peaceful, staff are very nice! A bar around the corner so we can hear music at the night but will stop around 1:30-2:00am, we still can sleep well not really bother us. Simple and clean room. Even tho here is so simple and cheap, Air condition and water heater work perfectly. Every morning hotel staff sent us different fruits and instant coffee packs to our table’s on balcony, I’m having coffee every money and hearing a birds singing and squirrel ( I see one squirrel only around my room Jumping and playing on the trees) Here not a fancy hotel. But definitely peaceful and staying like in village style. Around here has western food restaurants or thai food restaurants or coffee shops. Small night market for food ,7-11 , washing clothes shop need to walk a little but for me not far away. I using grab app to call taxi. Good location go to visit around here. I will definitely come back to stay again ❤️

Very charming bungalows, lovely owners. Offers Bicycles and also Motorbike/Scooter rental, but I had not tried it. Brilliant location: super close to a number of temples (Wat Mahathat), restaurants and night market. Downtown cafes, restaurants, 7/11 all within 10 minutes walking. Also excellent to have a walk through the historic park. Everyday I had fresh fruit or snacks on my porch. Breakfast is simple but good and not too small.

the bungalows get very warm. The a/c is good and cools them down quickly though.

The location is perfect. The Home Stay is right opposite one of the main temples and very close to most of the main sights. The ladies that run it are very kind, patient and forthcoming, plus they know English well enough that the communication with them was smooth generally speaking. Last but not least, their laundry service is both very cheap and super-quick.

While the home stay does hire out bikes, these are definitely not in the best of conditions, therefore it is better to rent them elsewhere in town even though they may charge you more.

We are so lucky to stay at this home stay as it was really super close to Temple Mahhata and there is also a weekend night market just near by the river. It opens on Fri Sat and Sun. The owners are two grannies. They are so kind and helpful. The breakfast was also made by them, 100bht for one set with big portion. The bungalow has enough spacious for 3 of us as a family. The mattress is very comfortable for us. They also have motorcycle to rent 300bht for 24 hours.

There’s no warm water from the heater. As it’s hot,we didn’t ask why. So it could because we didn’t use it in the right way. Also there are some ants inside as it’s a wooden bungalow. It didn’t affect our stay.

The bungalows are beautiful, spacious, and have a nice big balcony. The hosts are friendly and attentive. We received fresh water and fruit every morning, which was unexpected and lovely. They have a cheap and nice breakfast. The location was perfect!

Can get hot, but AC will fix that. The internet wasn't ideal - it was enough for browsing, but not suitable for work most of the time. There is a club nearby, bring some earplugs and it should all be fine.

I liked everything about Baan Kong Homestay, from the hosts’ generous hospitality to the shady gardens and teak huts where everything has been well-maintained and is in full working order. Secluded and spacious rooms, large patios, big bathrooms and comfortable beds. Nothing feels cramped, all the furniture and fittings are of good quality and in good working order. The free fruit platter on the patio table every morning was a nice touch, as was the umbrella to take with you when visiting the ruins – you’ll be glad you used it.

It's better than it looks and it looks just fine; quaint teak villas with a large bedroom and a good sized wash/shower room under nice shady trees. Lots of basic bikes to hire for next to nothing, good parking, easy to find and to get to. Superbly located for the temples of Ayutthaya, the nearest being 50m away. It is fairly basic overall but it doesn't pretend to be anything else so if you want somewhere cute, quaint, very central to the temples, helpful, friendly, comfortable ... this is a good bet. Mosquitos ... yes if you leave your door open but hey, folks, this is the tropics ... have a bit of repellent handy and keep the openings shut.

As others have noted, there's a nightclub over the road which has an over-inflated opinion of its late night woofer beat. Didn't keep me awake though.
