Fantastic location with beach bungalow overlooking the bay and large french doors on to balcony Friendly and helpful staff This hotel is quite old but you can see it is well taken care of with a lot of pride Swimming pool well maintained, and clean, without too much chlorine The room was huge, good water pressure in the shower and the mini fridge was really useful Some thoughtful touches like a torch and umbrella There is a regular free shuttle to nai harn beach Air conditioning cooled the room well

Bed was large but quite hard (all beds in Thailand seem to be hard) The first room was quite noisy but they were able to move me as the hotel was not busy The restaurant food was not to our taste but there are plenty of restaurants in the town and Rawai There was construction next to the hotel, although we couldn't hear it in the rooms, it was right next to the pool; the hotel didn't inform us of the construction before arriving

The resort is situated in a lovely, lush green and quiet jungle and the waterfront is an amazing snorkeling area with tons of colorful fish, corals, squids, starfish, etc.. Staff is amazing, friendly and helpful. The menu ("All day dinning") in the restaurant had limited Thai dish options, but everything we tried out was very delicious and you can also request "Thai spicy" seasoning.

Electrics in the room are a bit dated and some were not functioning properly. Sunbeds at the beach are too few and many are broken. Breakfast options are rather limited. To reach the Nai Harn beach you either need to depend on the free shuttle, rent a scooter or arrange private transport as walking on the road is not too inviting especially when it gets dark (no street lights).

The room and view were excellent. Staff was helpful and cheerful.

It's a little off the beaten path which means that getting to and from the bigger public beaches can be more challenging that you might expect but if you call a taxi they will get there sooner or later. Also the hotel's private beach is enjoyable but a little small.

The location is isolated. Thos comes with difficulty to get there on one hand but with privacy including an almost private beach. The vies are fantastic.

Very difficult to get there. The road is narrow and more suitable for motorcycles than cars. We first received an extremely modest room, good only for backpackers. Then upgraded for a sea view hat, which had fantastic sea view, but still not too comfortable. Lastly, we moved to the a new villa, which was really spacious and comfortable. The resturant could do better. The service is very slow, no espresso machine, just old style black coffee. The breakfast verity was very imited.

Our overall experience at this wonderful, layed back resort was exceptional. The secluded location and beautiful private beach set this apart from all the others in the area. The staff are very friendly and eager to help with any requests. The restaurant boasts a great variety of both traditional Thai food as well as alternatives, top quality, and reasonable prices. Again, the staff are awesome, especially Chupchup and Dom 🙏. Great interaction and cheerful banter makes one very relaxed and comfortable. The resort is a little 'out of the way', but justifiably so, I recommend hiring a scooter to maximise one's experience and stay. There are many hire businesses in the immediate area. The entire resort is very clean and tidy with a beautiful rustic semi-jungle feel about it. The pool is also a tranquil bonus with a great view. Anybody looking for a quiet escape, yet only 10 minutes from Na Harn beach and 25 minutes to Patong, this resort is the place to stay. I can not recommend a more pleasant and fulfilling experience, Baan Krating is awesome.

Leaving

We had a great time at Baan Krating! It's a very relaxing resort away from the hustle and bustle. Perfect for families with kids. The small private beach is safe to snorkel with kids. We loved our room and the ocean view. The pool was lovely too. Dadda and Ronnie at reception were very friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle bus going into town 10am an 3pm which is lovely. The walk into town is about 25 minutes. Breakfast was good with asian noodles or rice, fresh fruit, toast, sausages and eggs. (Best snorkelling in this area is at Ya-Nui beach)

We had dinner one night which was ok but not amazing.

We stayed for three nights in the sea view pavilion, it was amazing, big comfortable bed with the view to the jungle and the sea. It has private beach, which made our stay very relaxed without tourists, kids and noise of the city. It is far from the restaurants, so you will probably need a taxi, which comes rarely to that location or a bike (if you re experienced driver). The road to the hotel is a bit dangerous and not good when it’s raining, so, please, don’t drive a bike when it is raining. I would really recommend this resort for romantic weekend.

Our terrace at the room was dirty upon arrival and I was disappointed, because it is spoiled the view. But the hosts cleaned it after we asked. There is a works for renovation of some villas which started pretty early each morning. So we waked up from the noise of the reconstruction and not the sea waves or birds. That was the biggest disappointment.

Jungle, treehouse, private beach, palm trees, quite, it was perfect for us!!

Quiet, remote, relaxed away from the hussle and bustle. Located in a jungle. Very comfortable villas, small private beach ideal for snorkelling. Lovely and helpful staff. Nice food at the restaurant that is reasonably priced.

Occasionally had trouble getting taxis to drop off to the resort because the road is narrow, steep and in poor condition. The walk is about 13min if you’re fit and don’t mind a bit of a moderately challenging walk. It’s walking distance from Nai Harn beach where there are some restaurants and taxis. Great swimming pool but because of the construction site located literally next door super noisy.

This was my first stop arriving in Thailand, and it was a perfect home for 4 days. The rooms (I was in the main brick buildings - not the bungalows) were really lovely with massive beds and fab bathrooms. There was a big balcony and a shower outside for after swimming. I loved that I could snorkel right off the beach - there’s not a lot of places that you can do this in Phuket. The restaurant staff were lovely and made me a different vegetarian meal each night. I also had a wonderful massage each day. The rest of the staff were all lovely and super helpful. I’d definitely recommend if you want somewhere peaceful, chill and totally relaxing!

It’s out on it’s own so if you want big nightlife and places to walk to then it might not be for you. There was also some building work next door, though I barely noticed it myself, you might notice more if you were closer to it I guess. Can I suggest getting water coolers for everyone to refill their own bottles to save on plastic?
