Location was amazing, so close to everything. Our room had a great view of the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus. The breakfast was SO good every day. The staff were all friendly but special mention must go to the young waitress we had every morning at breakfast. She was so good at not only looking after us but looking after all the guests. Unfortunately I injured myself after falling while out exploring Istanbul. She was so caring, helping me up the stairs, making me a cup of tea, getting soft foods to eat and even offering to cut the food up! What a credit she is to the hotel, only wish we had asked for her name. She is amazing and so kind. Thank you for the lovely hospitality. We would recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Istanbul.

A wonderful boutique hotel right in the center of Istanbul. It is overlooking the Hippodrome, which is a pedestrian area so you can barely hear any traffic. The view from the breakfast area on top is breathtaking, overlooking the Bosphorus, Blue mosque and Hagia Sophia. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the beds very comfortable and breakfast was plentiful. But probably the best thing about Alzer is the staff. Everyone is very friendly and attentive, from the breakfast lady to the reception and restaurant staff. They will go above and beyond to make your stay as memorable as possible, especially Kemal and Ahmed. Thank you Alzer, we hope we can come back some day!

We were a group of 6 (a couple and both our parents) and we booked three identical rooms for 6 nights. The next morning after our arrival we realised that we didn't all get the same rooms (two were identical but one was smaller) which was a bit awkward since we were organising the trip for our parents and wanted everyone to have the same experience. After we pointed this out the next day, we were given the proper room, so that solved it. Other than that no complaints, except maybe the room doors could be better soundproofed.

I had an amazing stay in Istanbul at a hotel with a stunning view of the Blue Mosque. From the moment I entered the room, I was immediately captivated by the breathtaking sight of the mosque’s iconic blue tiles and minarets, especially when lit up at night. The room impeccably clean with modern amenities that made my stay comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of Sultanahmet, within walking distance to major attractions like Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations for local dining and experiences. Having breakfast on the rooftop terrace, overlooking the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus, was a highlight of my stay. It truly felt like a dream to wake up to such a beautiful view every morning. Overall, this was an exceptional stay, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul. The combination of location, comfort, and the iconic view made it a truly memorable experience.

Everything was very clean and the breakfast buffet was exceptional with a great selection of eggs, sausage, cakes, fruit and vegetables. I especially enjoyed the spinach and ratatouille whilst savouring a wonderful view from the 6th floor breakfast room over the 'Blue Mosque' and the Sea of Marmora with Hagia Sofia in the distance. The staff had a lovely old fashioned courtesy and a sense of humour; they were very helpful. The hotel could not be better placed for seeing the major sights.

All three hotels we stayed in had clutter on the stairs which in my view would be a hindrance in the event of an emergency. This one had the fewest obstructions.

Alzer Hotel is a very welcoming hotel, that feels like home straight away. Beautiful entrance, friendly and helpful staff always ready to help. The breakfast is delicious, in a room with a view of the Bosphorus, with freshly baked Turkish treats and a wide selection of food, and a smiling and helpful staff. The hotel's location was simply magical, right by the Hippodrome, where Roman chariots raced all those years ago... and the Bosphorus right at your doorstep. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and a tram stop less than 5 minutes away. Nearby a huge selection of excellent restaurants gives a nice touch to the evenings without having to venture too far away. Overall a perfect stay, we cannot wait to go back!

Having to leave...

Top Quality/Location/Price ratio in my opinion. The price is very fair and you get a local experience of people, place, and breakfast food in a very "tourist attraction" area. again all with quality and a very fair price. Breakfast food and roof top view is amazing. Location is amazing and Walking distance to the entire old city istanbul, as well as to marmary line and tram. Staff is very helpful and cooperative.

Wifi quality is bad. somehow also the wifi line it self (seems to be an infrastructure problem in the entire area as i understood from staff). Note that cars cannot park in front of the hotel, so if you get a taxi or transfer from the hotel, it will drop you 2 building next to the hotel. its not annoying once you know it (Google maps still thinks there is a street in front of the hotel).

Loved the location of the hotel, no passing traffic, near the starting point of walking tours and perfect for going to the sights when they first open to avoid the crowds. Short walk to the tram to go to further away places. We were fortunate to be given an upgrade on our room and really appreciated it. Looking out at the square and the Blue Mosque minarets when lit up at night was magical. Our room was very clean, comfortable and a big size with 2 chairs to relax in as well as a great big bed. The views from the top floor breakfast room were fantastic and the breakfast staff were extremely friendly. They even provided a packed sandwich, fruit and drink for our early start for a Gallipoli tour.

Location Hippodrome good view of mosques from rooftop. Pasha suite was great for my family of 5. Staff good with kids. Ozgur front desk was very helpful. Ahmet and the ladies at breakfast were friendly provided good service. Supermarket a few mins walk away.

Accessibility issues- getting pushchair in but obviously fine if you don’t have one! Single lift is a tight squeeze. Wish there were more continental options for breakfast or at least a toaster- I respect that this is a Turkish establishment but many of the local options were left untouched by foreign guests.

The position on the Hippodrome opposite the Blue Mosque is central to exploring Sultanahmet and only a four minute walk to the tram stop The staff are friendly and helpful, the beds comfortable and the breakfast extensive The hotel can arrange private transport to and from the airport and for tours.

The only thing to be aware of is that although the lift goes to the fifth floor the breakfast room is on the top floor and requires walking up a further flight of stairs. This makes the hotel unsuitable for those disabled.
