1. Good location - 5 minute walk to Hippodrome 2. Friendly staff - all staff were helpful and friendly 3. Restaurant - Good breakfast included 4. Room - average size, good pressure in shower, cleaned daily A big thank-you to all the staff - Ali, Max, Rushan, the two ladies who looked after the restaurant, and the lady who looked after the rooms. As a family with two adult children we stayed six days (start of September 2023) at the SultanHill hotel next to the Blue mosque. I booked it for its traditional ottoman architecture style and very affordable price breakfast buffet included. We were stunned by the view on both Blue mosque and Bosphorus from the huge terrace on the fourth floor. The rooms were very clean and peaceful. Hotel manager speaks English and will give you an Istanbul map with the hidden places of interest. Istanbul is a wonderful city, very lively. Turkish people were helpful, respectful and honest (no problem whatsoever neither in Istanbul, Ankara or Göreme in Cappadoce). Christiane & family

We loved the location of the hotel (nearby Sultanahmet Mosque and Aya Sofia). The bed was very comfortable and we had the towels changed every day. We stayed in the ground floor room with access to a beautiful terrace. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy during our stay and we could not enjoy it. But during warm days, this terrace is a gem. The breakfast was very good, everybody was so nice and welcoming. And the most important thing: the hotel owns a beautiful cat. We adored it! It was a big plus for us seeing her every day. Such a queen cat! ❤️ I can't wait to come back to Istanbul and to SultanHill Hotel! All the best from Romania! 🙏🏻

Responsive staff, good value rooms in a historic building. The room decor complimented the history of the building. Nice breakfast that varied a bit each day. Only half a block to the Hippodrome.

Both rooms we booked had problems with the air conditioning. One had a finicky key slot to turn on the electricity, and the other room's air conditioning didn't work at all the first night. The staff did offer another room if needed, but were able to fix the problem. The twin room didn't have an outlet near the bed.

This is a beatiful hotel where to stay in Istambul. As soon as you cross the door, you have the Istambul vibes. The most important: the location, near by blue mosque, Aya Sophia, all sulthanamet… Also incredible breakfast! This hotel has an incredible terrace with blue mosque view…. Last but not least: all staff: the best. They give you a very familiar treatment… Price too good for a definitive 10/10 hotel.

Staying in Sultanhill made us feel like home that we didn't even realize that we were being thousands miles from home. Staffs service are excellent and room is very clean. Breakfast also superb. Bonus to have a rooftop terrace where you can have a coffee or tea with blue mosque nearby and seaview at afar. Location is in center Sultan Ahmet area, so you just walking to every tourist spot without any difficulty. Thanks to Ali and team who really help us from before we arrived to check out. Really recommend this hotel, and would love to come back again if we have a chance to visit Istanbul.

Due to location is in central Sultan Ahmet, traffic jam can't be avoided, but you don't have to worry as many attractions are walking distance from this hotel. Also bedroom space is only great for 2 people

Mr Ali and Mr Suleyman( if I'm not mistaken his name) treat us like a family.We travel in a group of ladies and this hotel is in a safe location near to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi n Basilica Cistern.From the terrace we can enjoy seeing Blue Mosque.Near Tu sultanAhmed tram n staffs are really helpful even had no lift but they help us to carry our luggage to our room.Compare to other hotel, their service is superb. Mr Ali help us to book airport transfer and he gave us 1 extra bed for 2 person price with breakfast. I would never forget his hospitality. We kept our luggage earlier B4 we fly to cappadocia.Its about 5 days with no charge. Mr Suleyman gave me free welcome drink n let us borrow kettle to make chai. Will definitely repeat this hotel n recommend to my friends n family 🥰💯😍

Everything superlative! Our holiday was a dream and both our host, Mr Ali, and the accommodation contributed to it all. The Sultan Hill Hotel was exactly as described and exactly as an old Ottoman style house can be: full of charm. The breakfast was tasty and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Another plus was the hotel's location: being in the old centre, you have the Blue Mosque, Agia Sofia, Topkapy Palace, Cistern Basilica, tram close by. Another thing that charmed us is the hotel terrace which has a beautiful view of the Blue Mosque and the Sea of Marmara. Not to mention the house cat: it totally charmed us. We highly recommend this location and as far as we are concerned, we will definitely come back.

There's nothing that I didn't like.

My stay at SultanHill was great. It's a cosy hotel located perfectly central to the major attractions in Sultanahmet. Both Ali and Asef were amazing; always ready to help and give advice on things to do in the city. The rooms are as per the pictures and have a mini fridge. Bed was comfy and wifi uninterrupted. There's also a nice view of the back of the blue mosque from the balcony. Few things to note: There are no elevators, however the gents at reception were kind enough to carry my luggage up and down both at checkin and checkout. Sound Insulation, you can hear people chatting in the street/cars passing by every now and then, more so during the day. That being said, I am a light sleeper but surprisingly still slept like a baby each night. I would definitely stay here again!

No real negatives. Complimentary bottled water in the room would've been a nice touch but not a deal breaker. You can purchase at reception for a modest amount.

Extremely central, on a quiet street behind the Blue Mosque. The rooms are full of light, with windows on 2 walls. We could see the Bosphorus. Breakfast was nice and there is a courtyard if you want to eat outside. The roof terrace has great views. The manager was super friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable.

The school next door rang their bell loudly from about 7am - but this is a temporary situation whilst another school building is getting work done
